Description of Work: I had a lot of small projects I had put off and purchased one of the Angie's List specials for Walt's Handyman. Nick and Daniel arrived promptly and ready to work. I had purchased revolving shelves for my kitchen corner cabinets which were heavy and in a tight space. Nick did an outstanding job. Meanwhile I had Daniel replacing 8 ceiling light fixtures, hanging an extrememly heavy mirror securely above my fireplace, installing a flat screen tv on my bedroom wall, hanging a large picture in a hard to reach stairwell, and replacing some blinds that had been removed for window work. What a thrill to have all the work done and done well! I intend to hire them again to install a screen door and install a flat screen tv inside my living room shelving. They also do painting and I plan on getting an estimate to paint the interior of my condo. Great job guys.

Description of Work: Front door hinges had come loose. Walt realigned the door and used longer wood screws to ensure that they were fastened securely. He checked the alignment carefully after completing the job. He came in on the low side of his estimate. I would use him again.

Description of Work: Walt provided an excellent remodeling service for our home. We had a water damaged window sill that needed to be replaced and some other associated work. The window casing looked absolutely perfect after the removal and final repair. We would definitely recommend Walt to all of our acquaintances! Thanks Walt!

Description of Work: Walt & Tammy were punctual, profession and knowledgeable. Walt adjusted a built-in cabinet to fit our new refrigerator. He had a simple solution to what I was told would be a real big mess. He also fixed a few other minor problems about the house. The price was reasonable, not the lowest or highest. I would definitely hire them again

+ -1 moreWalt did everything he said he would, and because he finished in a shorter time than expected, he even went a step further and textured the dry wall repair. This was something we'd planned to do ourselves. We were delighted that he was able to squeeze us in to his schedule at short notice to accommodate our time needs. And we are delighted with the results of his work. It may have been a little expensive, but we were happy to pay him the lower amount of his estimate. We needed the work done and other handymen had not even replied to our phone calls. We would use Walt again.
Description of Work: Walt rebuilt the shelf under our kitchen sink, repaired a leaking garbage disposal and did some minor drywall repair around a new electrical outlet.

Why can't these guys just tell you up front that they don't want the job? This caused me to lose weeks on getting the job done.
Description of Work: I called Walt to ask him to come estimate some work on my house. I needed a cover over our deck replaced and some siding repaired on the house.

+ -1 moreI left a message for Walt on a Saturday morning and he returned my call the same morning. He made an appointment with me for the following Tuesday afternoon. He was very accommodating when that same afternoon I asked him to push the appointment back by fifteen minutes. He arrived promptly for the appointment. He quoted me $75 to $100 depending on the length of the job and was able to complete the work at the $75 price. I don't know how to determine the "quality" of a door installation, but I have a closet door again...it works... and I'm happy. Based on Walt's responsiveness, punctuality, politeness, and ability to do the job at the low end of his cost estimate, I would definitely hire him again.
Description of Work: I needed someone to install one bi-fold closet door.

+ -1 moreI did not know Walt's fees before he came out to give me an estimate. He charges $75 for first hour and $50 for each additional was more than I expected. He was very nice and did as much as he could within the first hour. There was a lot of noise due to children, and he was very understanding and just worked around them.
Description of Work: Re-attached pantry slide-out shelf, attached hooks in ceiling and coat hanger with molly's, fixed gate latch and replaced wood on gate. He did not have the time to fix one other small job.

Description of Work: Have called him twice. He replaced U fluorescent lights in kitchen & 8' ''high-ceiling'' fluorescent lights in garage, replaced difficult furnace filters, stood upright & repaired VERY heavy outdoor birdcage (metal legs bent when tipped over in wind), mounted bulletin board, replaced rubber strip in shower door, replaced strips going from carpeting to tile floors (2) & minor fixes.
