WALT'S HANDYMAN INC

We are very happy with the work Walt did. He was thorough, clean and polite. Walt was willing to get the extra parts we needed from a home improvement store to connect the new sink and fix the drawer. All in all a very professional guy who knows his stuff. He was also punctual and went the extra mile to get our kitchen back in working order as quickly as possible.

I had a little trouble scheduling Walt because he is so busy but felt it would be worth the wait. We eventually scheduled some time and Walt arrived 15 minutes early. He immediately got to work after I showed him what I needed to have done. He worked steadily for the rest of the day and completed everything I asked him to do. His work was professional and I was extremely pleased with how much he got done in one day. I would hire him again for any other handyman work I need done.

Walt did a great job. I strongly recommend his work to others. He came and estimated the job, and the job came in close to the estimate amount. Walt picked up the wood materials in advance and brought them to the job. He showed up on time and worked hard, taking only short breaks on a hot day. As Walt replaced boards, he nailed in the replacements completely, and then completely caulked up the work. Walt did a more thorough effort than I expected.

Excellent, Walt did a fantastic job. He was professional, prompt and finished the job earlier, than quoted. He worked with me on getting the time and date, that would work, due to my overly busy work schedule, and always returned my phone calls that day or the next day. I will definitely, be using him again for handyman services.

Walt was great. He came when he said he would, he went out of his way to procure the molding and make sure the paint matched, and he worked with such quiet efficiency that I hardly knew he was here. In fact, I had expected to move the furniture around in my daughter's bedroom so he could replace the baseboard moldings, but he had the job already completed and the furniture back in place before I even realized he was in there.

Walt was punctual, and completed the requested work in a timely, neat manner. The two jobs slightly more than an hour and a half to complete; Walt's rates were very reasonable.

After we first contacted them about the jobs we needed done, Walt got right back to us and kept in communication throughout the whole process. Walt and his wife, Tammy, are a great team! They were always prompt, professional, courteous and fast and have the knowledge, experience and skills for the kind of home repairs we needed done. We would definitely hire them again.

Walt was friendly and helpful on the phone. He was extremely punctual in his arrival. The work was completed well, and he took care in what he was doing. He offered suggestions for future improvements. His hourly rate is more than I would normally pay a handyman, but he was upfront about it so there were no surprises and his professionalism merited a higher pay rate.

I had contacted several handymen and Walt was the first to reply. He was a few minutes late but showed up as we had planned and got right to work. I had forgotten to account for the assembly of the cabinet itself but Walt went ahead and did that part as well while only charging a few extra dollars for the time (it took more time to assemble than hang). The cabinet doors weren't fitting well (product issue) and Walt spent extra time trying to fix it, even calling the manufacturer. He cleaned up afterward and was quite pleasant. I will definitely call on him again.

It went great! He and his wife, who serves as his assistant on the job, took care of everything on my list and they did it all well and quickly. They are a great team and they are pleasant to deal with. Walt really knows his stuff and he does good work. I will definitely call him the next time I need a handyman.

Walt was very open for scheduling and as always, came when he said he would. He completed the job in around 6 hours, which is fairly timely.

Walt does what he says he will do-calls when he say he'll call, comes when he says he'll come, and does the work he says he'll do. The price was $25 higher than the estimate because he had to make some repairs to the beam underneath the drywall crack. As a result though, the crack won't return.

Excellent. Came on time. Did the work as planned.

It went very well. Walt was prompt in viewing the site, understood our requests, promptly returned with his price, stuck to the schedule and/or kept us informed of any changes in timing; he did excellent work, cleaned up after the project, and completely met our expectations. His price was less than the "big guys," with only one small addition over the bid. He's a good craftsman and a nice person.

After calling about 4 times and leaving voice messages, and after talking to the helpful folks and Angie's List, I got one return call from Walt with no voice message and no further interest. I returned that call and left a voice message and haven't gotten any more calls. I understand he might be busy with existing work, but I'm sure he must have 5 minutes to leave me a detailed voice message or give me an email to send emails to.

Unfortunately Walt was booked up until December so he recommended someone else who is coming out today.

Walt was very professional and courteous and prompt in returning phone calls. The quality of work was very good.

Was on time. Delivered exactly what he promised. Good workmanship, professional.

8/7/2006: Walt's estimate: $360 (plus, he said he could caulk in the bathroom, if I wanted him to). 8/14/2006: After work was completed (4 + hours), he asked for only $300. I paid him $350, plus $25 to his ''assistant'' for helping me put together refrigerator shelves, removing and replacing a stuck vacuum bag, and cleaning up.

The hourly rate was double what I've paid my last two handyman.

Walt called to say he would be about 1/2 later and he was here within that 1/2 hour. When he got here there were several other jobs I had thought of and he did them all in a professional manner. He is coming back to install two sinks and a bathroom fan (all of which he will pick up for me). I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to friends.

I called Walt for a small project and he accommodated by coming over the next day. The work took him about an hour. He replaced two rotted boards from our front porch. Walt was very professional and arrived on time. Walt is a very nice person and I would hire him again.

Walt is an all-around great guy. He showed up on Sunday morning at about 10:30 with his wife (equally wonderful and STRONG!) and worked hard until 8 PM. They brought along some needed supplies and sent me out for some others. He ended up charging his going rate ($450/day) for both of them (total $900 + $60 supplies), which was a great surprise to me. While both of them worked very hard in hot, dusty conditions, I probably could have saved a lot of $ by having him there alone for 4 hours to do the electrical stuff, and hired a couple of other guys at $10-12/hr to pull up and replace the flooring. If I ever had a technically difficult job or a job that needed to be done ASAP, I would definitely call on Walt. But for jobs involving simple labor, there are more appropriate and inexpensive alternatives. If he brings someone along to help, you should count on doubling the price.

Walt showed up at the arranged time. The job was well done and everything was cleaned up. He even cut up the LP siding in pieces that would fit in my garbage. Walt did such a good job. I would definitely use his company again. Also, I would highly recommend the quality of his work.
