We purchased skylights through Mark, and he was great about taking time (on a weekend!) to help us figure out which windows would work best for us. Extremely knowledgeable, and although he was booked up and couldn't do the work, he was happy to be available should our second choice need any advice on installation.

The project went very well. Mark visited us quite soon after the initial call and gave us 3 options for taking care of our problem of inadequate light in the living room due to porch roof. Mark was especially sensitive to costs and gave top to bottom line solutions. As soon as weather permitted he arrived and in one day installed 3 new skylights and replaced two others returning the next Monday to finish. The job was highly professional.

They completed the job in 3.5 days (Wed-Fri, and then part of Monday), which would have taken only three days but one of their crew had a small accident (cut finger). They were extremely professional, respectful (wore booties to protect carpet, covered everything to protect from dust, cleaned up impeccably afterwards), and helpful. Mark even inspected my roof for a leak that happened in another part of the house while they were there (due to a major wind/rainstorm) and recommended a great roofer. They were very concerned about the delay (even though I wasn't), and made sure it was OK to finish the following Monday, and Mark came over and did the work himself. They were all very personable and I felt comfortable leaving my key and letting them let themselves in and out of the house. I would recommend them highly. The skylights look great!

Based on my phone conversation with Mark, I decided I wanted have him give me an official quote. To do this, he needed to come to the house to see the cracked skylight and take measurements. We were playing phone tag trying to coordinate a date for him to come out and the next thing I know, I get a voice message from him saying he came to the house when I wasn't home to do the site inspection. Since I didn't know him from "Adam" and I am somewhat liability paranoid, I did not appreciate this. The skylight ended up being 3' x 4' (not a standard size) and he quoted $750. I got one other quote from a local remodeling company that doesn't specialize in skylights which was higher. A third company didn't even return my calls after leaving two messages. Mark's workmanship is excellent and he is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The price was what he quoted, no surprises. I would definitely use his services again.

Mark was very professional and easy to talk to. He explained options and answered all our questions. His crew, who actually did the work, were prompt and courteous. They were careful to cover all affected areas, as well as cleaned up afterwards. Mark followed up the next day to make sure we were satisfied with the work performed. Although it was difficult to get in contact with Mark, the owner/quoter, when he came over, he was very knowledgeable. Was able to get lights installed within 2 weeks of approving the quote because one of their larger projects was delayed.

Mark asked a series of questions regarding the skylights during my initial phone call and then stopped by to measure them. We accepted his bid. They were replaced. All was done within a short time frame. We are pleased with the experience.

The entire experience was great. Mark suggested options regarding the placement of the skylights to achieve various effects. He invited us to visit his shop to actually see the lights which helped us make the decision between the various brands. The install started during a heavy rain, yet the excellent site prep prevented any water from getting into the house. Communication regarding the various finishing options was good. Final cleanup of the site was good. Terrific contractor!

Mark is a pleasure to work with. Honest, reliable, and genuinely interested in satisfying his customers. He was easily accessible and always had time to assist and advise me. His many years in the business make him a great resource, in both technically know-how and aesthetic design. His recommendations come from tried and true experience. His prices match or beat the big box store. Availability of products was excellent. Mark had all of my skylights on site while the big box store told me it would take 21 days to get them.

Gave us many options including replacing glazing in old skylight. They were on time, very informative. They took their time making sure the install was perfect. Very neat and clean could not be more pleased!

He came in, did what he was supposed to do and he left. He was wonderful. I was very pleased.

Mark was knowledgeable, personable and articulate, returned his phone calls, dealt with minor issues that arose after installation, and in general was a pleasure to deal with. He is very experienced and knows his products well. He explained our choices (hand crank versus electric, etc.) in an easy to understand way, explained the advantages of the products he recommended, and gave us options for different budgets. And, of course, he did a fine job installing the skylight, with which we are delighted. I'd recommend Mark and Natural Light to anyone looking for skylights of any sort.

This company is known in our neighborhood as ''the one'' to use to install skylights and to do skylight repairs. The work they completed in my home rates five stars. All three: Mark, Doug and Ryan were wonderful to have around the house. They are efficient, are very careful to do top quality work and are cheerful. They completed the job on time and even were able to begin the project a week earlier than the promised start time. They explained what they were going each step of the way. There just aren't enough words to describe how highly I value this company. You might have to wait awhile to get them to work with you as they are in high demand. But, believe me, it will be worth the wait.

At our initial visit, Mark provided excellent suggestions on where to place out skylights to get the amount of light and contemporary look we were hoping for. A team of 3 guys performed the work. They were on time, worked hard, did a good job installing the skylights, and cleaned up. They are professional and know what they are doing. I'd hire them again anytime.

Mark and his crew were prompt and professional. The entire experience was a joy. They protected the flooring from dirt and ladders. They worked as a team and were very efficient. No question was too small. One of my most pleasant experiences with contractors in the home. I would totally hire them again.

We have been extremely pleased with each of our encounters with Mark. He is very knowledgeable about skylights. We were very happy with the repair job Mark did two years ago and with the recent installation done by two guys who work with Mark (Doug and Ryan). Mark, Doug, and Ryan have always arrived when they said they would, were very pleasant, seemed very capable and knowledgeable, and were very careful to protect our furniture, etc. while working. I was a little concerned when it started to rain during the recent installation, but in no time, Doug and Ryan had a canopy put up on the roof to prevent any water from entering the hole in the roof. We feel very fortunate to have found Mark and have no hesitation in recommending him.

This was the best contractor experience we've had. Mark was knowledgeable and passionate about his product. The crew was experienced, punctual and efficient and had a great system in place for doing their work. Our particular job was finished in a single They were so meticulous with cleanup that it seemed almost as if they had never even been in the house.

Mark was on time, very courteous, and fun to work with. The work went exactly as Mark said it would and was completed on time with minimal fuss. Mark has ruined us for hiring other contractors. He is the person against which we will judge all other contractors - and they'll probably be found wanting. He is a true craftsman, who is extremely professional and brings a real passion to his work. He found his niche with skylights and brings years of experience and knowledge to the job. We needed to replace an old skylight in our entryway and we were also considering adding a skylight to our bedroom. Luckily, he had an opening in his schedule to squeeze us in for the replacement. He brought a great crew who quickly and efficiently installed the venting skylight. While this project wasn't cheap for our budget, the quality of work and ease of working with Mark was worth it. You get what you pay for. We decided to wait on the bedroom project until our budget allows, but Mark looked at the asthetics and dynamics of air flow to offer several great options. We'll definely be using Mark when we're ready to move forward with that project.

Mark was very responsive to estimate quote request and explain various product options. After physically compare skylights at Mark's shop, decided to go with higher qualiity Thermolite skylights.

Mark and his crew installed an oversized venting Velux skylight in an upstairs bathroom of our 100 year old Victorian house. The bathroom had nominal light from a non-opening, antique stained-glass window & no ventilation. Mark came over quickspeed to give us an estimate, was wonderfully creative in suggesting an oversized skylight for our unique layout, and came back to install our skylight nearly a month before we were originally scheduled. He & his crew worked on our roof in the pouring rain, and our skylight was completely installed in one day. They were SUPER professional, and we now have natural light and ventilation in our bathroom. What a major improvement! We'd never use anyone else for our future skylight needs!

They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Able to answer my questions over the phone and give me an idea of how much it would cost to replace both skylights. The people who came to the house were very professional. The installation was fast and the new skylights look great.

I discovered this company right here on Angie's List! They appeared to be the highest ranked of those specializing in skylights within the list. (We had a poor experience in the past with a roofing company who also bid on this project. We decided we wanted a specialist for this task.) Mark, the owner of the company, came to our house to give us ideas and suggestions regarding best suitability, positioning and aesthetics of the lights. He was very professional, patient and thorough in his explanations and suggestions. Once the job began, he and his two employees were always on time and cautious about damaging floors, walls and belongings. Doug and Ryan were exemplary in their detail, professionalism and courtesy. Work was performed quietly and unobtrusively. (I was even able to take a nap while they worked!) Clean-up was performed at the end of each day. Mark called a couple of weeks after finishing to see if everything was alright. I suggest you call Natural Skylights first!
