Service was exactly what I would have hoped for, and was very pleased. The gentleman who came out was polite, knowledgeable and I enjoyed the fact he carried a set of lock picks around his neck. Overall I was very happy, and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They were prompt and efficient. What more can you ask? After we explained the problems, the technician gave us the alternatives and he proceeded to fix each door lock and deadbolt. We are entirely pleased with the service and they are all still working 4 months later.

The positive comment is that the actual key portion of the job did work. i.e. the new keys would turn the locks if one deadbolt was left loose. The reason I am positing a negative review is because the provider did something to the front door deadbolt so that the fixture could not be tightened down to the door with the screws & also open. As he left it, the screws were left loose on the deadbolt fixture because if he tightened them, the door would not open at all. This was not the case before he arrived at my home. Could be coincidence, but also the doorknob on one of the doors broke within 2 weeks of his visit. This knob had been a new purchase within 4 months of the re-key.

The serviceman showed up as we scheduled. He was very professional and pointed out some issues with the installed locks. We discussed the differences in some of the locks in the house. He completed the re-keying and fixed the issues.

I originally called another locksmith that was closer to my area but they could not come out until a week later. Found Davis Lock and Safe on the list although it was further down and in another city, I'm glad I called them. Chris was very helpful and got me scheduled the next day! The locksmith that came out was Phillip, he called before arriving which was great. Phillip was very professional and answered all questions. He offered to key the three locks to same key for convenience. He did an excellent job on the new deadbolt and fixing the latch. Would use and recommend them for future service.

My deadbolt lock on the front door refused to work. So i had to dis-assemble it to get it unlocked. After looking on Angie's List, Davis lock And key was at the top of the list and with an A rating. Plus it wasn't too far from my home. So I took the deadbolt mechanism off the door and went to their store. THESE PEOPLE KNOW LOCKS! I got there, and was immediately helped. I explained the problem and he looked at the mechanism and within 30 seconds told me my problem. I had a cracked piece that fit around the spindle and it was causing all the problem. So he went in the back looking for a replacement piece and came out with the good news/bad news scenario. Bad news - the lock itself was out of production and there were no replacement parts. The lock was only 10 years old. BUT Good News - They had a shaft with the spindle that was the exact same size that would work as the replacement. Cost - $20.00 and I worked with the same key. So total time to remove the deadbolt from the door, drive to the Locksmith, get the part and drive back and install it - less than ONE HOUR. Love it. IF I ever have a lock problem again I will go to Davis Lock and Key. They are fast, professional and reasonable. Great experience. And for the record, the replacement spindle worked perfectly.

Arrived ahead of time (called first) and finished up quickly. Everything works the way it should.

Quick, less expensive than dealer and great service.

2/8/2012 What a great company to work with. I lost the key on my 2012 Mazda 3 and the dealership wanted $350.00 to replace and program the key. A friend told me about this place and I called, they wanted a 100 less than Mazda, hello guess who I choose. I would much rather deal with a small locally owned company anyway and I got to save a 100 bucks to boot. Great little shop and super nice guys that work there. They ordered my key fob, called me when it came in, made the actual key and programmed it all the space of 15 minutes. Great guys. It has a full warranty and they will take care of any future issues, my key looks exactly like my old one and works perfectly. I had no idea they also did locks sets for your home, I will keep that in mind. Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone. To the previous reviewer, remember the adage you pay for what you get! These folks are professionals and make their living making and dealing with locks and keys!

Very good. Walked in and was greeted, had to wait, but that was ok. When I was helped, very fast, nice and knowledgeable so much so. We'll open an account.

They did an excellent job. He had to do a special job because it was not just a standard lock but he did a great job. He did exactly what I wanted and we were totally happy.

The Davis Lock and Safe here on Angie's List was kind to take the time to let us know we had not called their office and they asked us to give them a try. We did that, and the result was excellent in every way. WE GIVE THEM OUR HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION - AND THE CORRECT CONTACT NUMBER IS: 503-848-9100. If you call any other Davis Lock and Safe, you aren't getting the one that gets an A rating here. We will continue to call them and continue to recommend them to our clients.

Since we only had a single key to the car, the technician had to program new keys through his computer and the car. This was completed in an efficient manner. The keys and new remote lock units work perfectly. I was extremely impressed at the high level of service provided at the business.

It was professionally done and they charged a fair price.

The folks at Davis were very friendly, extremely detail oriented, and went above and beyond. Going the extra mile for me means these guys will not only get all my work, but recommending them will be easy. I was their most important customer, regardless of the fact that it was a small job. While there a woman came in with an auto key that needed copying. The owner was so thorough with her, and it made me realize that there are still ethical professional people in this world - focused on the needs of those of us who are in a bind. We just moved across country and my key to my lock-box was lost. I walked in the door with my box and Mr. Davis approached me. He immediately found the appropriate key. The cost should have been $7, but with the Angie's List Coupon, it was $0. The shop was clean and the help was excellent. A woman was leaving with several things and was so pleased she was bursting. I definitely would go back and recommend them to anyone.

Very professional. I called them and few other locksmiths around this area. They had the best rates. To save few bucks, I decided to take my locks to their store to have them rekeyed. They did it promptly and I am a happy customer. Very professional. Can't miss store building :-)

Davis Lock & Safe are very knowledgeable, even more so than the dealer. They were able to make me keys for significantly less than the dealer's gonna charge.
