Mike did a great job. He started and finished when he said he would.

Mike was quick about getting the job done, and was very punctual and professional with my initial meetings and providing an estimate. I'm happy with the work he did, and I have no hesitation in giving him an A grade here.

I called for a quote and he said that he would be there the next night. Never showed. Not a smart move for him, now my entire neighborhood is using someone else. Apparently he does not need customers.

Mike was very prompt to return phone calls. He came out immediately to give an estimate and discussed various options and even pointed out ways to save us money. He mentioned stamped concrete as an option which we were not familiar with, so he brought by several different brochures for us to review and helped us along the way to figure out what we wanted.

Mike was on time, did extra things & was priced right.

I requested a bid from BIGFOOT CONSTRUCTION. Weeks passed with no response. Then, Mike e-mailed me to say he was far too busy to come out and give me a bid. Due to the time lapse, I had already chosen someone else to do the work and am very satisfied. Obviously they are very busy, good luck staying that way by ignoring potential customers.

Mike was very friendly and helpful. He was happy to come by with his portfolio and material samples (he willing came back for a second ''estimate'' to show my husband what he had showed me). Throughout the project he provided us with lots of good ideas and genuinely cared about making sure the finished product made us happy (it did!). Overall, Mike was great to work with. I found him to be generally responsive to my calls/requests (he said he was working on that part of his service, in part because of Angie's List members' feedback!), but we did have a few ''miscommunications'' along the way, which were easily resolved. I did appreciate his detailed proposal (with the estimate) and the price at the end of the job was what he said it would be (we ordered more manor stones and he gave us that up-charge as we went along so there weren't any surprises).

Mike came by promptly to give us an estimate for deck repair. He said he would give us an estimate but he never called nor sent us an estimate. We called and left a message but never got a return call. We would not recommend this company.

We made an appointment. He didn't show. He apologized when I called. We made another appointment. He didn't show.

Contacted Bigfoot to work on my deck. Made an appointment and he forgot. Made another appointment and he never showed.

I made an appointment with Mike to look at my project. He failed to show up and never called.

I emailed them regarding the desire for a quote on new fencing on May 5, 2006. As of today, May 17, 2006, I have not received any phone call from them at all.

Mike neglected to show up for our first appointment, but did call me back an apologized. He showed up 1/2 hour late for our second appointment. He seemed very knowledgeable, but doesn't seem to enjoy his work very much. Additionally, he promised to follow up with the estimate via email that night, and it's been over a week now and no contact. I obviously went with another company. I am surprised this company still has an A, when such poor customer service seems to be an ongoing issue. Frankly, I would worry about hiring this person as he seems a bit unstable.

Mike did not bother to show up despite calling to say (for the second appointment) that he was running late. I altered my schedule to accommodate him & he did not bother showing up. I would not recommend him, nor would I do business with him if he DID show up!

Spoke to Mike on phone and set up time for an estimate to have a deck built. I took the day off of work to be there. He never showed up or called me. I called him 2 hours after he was supposed to show up and left him a message to please call me. 3 days later still no return call. This is extremely rude and unprofessional. I see that others have had the same problem.

Called and left message that I was interested in having a fence built and I have never received a return phone call. I think this is very unprofesional--if you are too busy call back and say so, don't just ignore the prospect. Bad business!

We had Bigfoot Construction out to give us an estimate on replacing our fence and were so impressed with them we arranged to have them do the job. This also involved coordinating it with our neighbors who share our fence. The job was scheduled for the following week, but Bigfoot never showed up to do the work. We tried numerous times to contact them to see if there had been a misunderstanding or a change in plans, to no avail. There were no replies to our phone messages whatsoever. It was completely disappointing, not only in time lost, but also to realize that even high marks on Angies list does not ensure professionalism in a contractor. A simple phone call would have made all the difference. To ignore a client is extremely discourteous and I could not recommend a contractor who behaves this way.

The whole process was good. Michael Jones was easy to work with. We made some adjustments, as we went by both, in fencing and decking. Michael Jones did it without any problems, and did not add to the overall cost. He is very flexible to work with, accommodating changes and listening to our ideas. Quality of the work is good and the speed is also pretty good. Not to say that cost wise he is the cheapest. He uses good quality materials. But as with any contracting work, we must take personal interest in any project being done. What I mean is that we should be overseeing the project at every turn. If you can do this, Michael Jones is the man. Would I hire him or recommend him? Definitely YES!!

Didn't show up at agreed upon time on two occasions for bids. Decided not to try for a third time.

We are thrilled, and our neighbors are impressed as well. One of our neighbors, who is quite a handyman himself, asked for Mike's card at the completion of the job. Mike and his assistant were prompt, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure the job was top-notch. They installed decorative hardware on the gate, with self-closing hinges, and even went to the local home center to buy and install a latch, after the fence installation was complete. The total installed price was less than others quoted for materials alone. We can't say enough positive things about Mike and our experience with him and would DEFINITELY use him again!

In my opinion, Mike is the best. Everything was done exceptionally well. There was no single thing I was unhappy about even though I am a ''hard-to-please'' customer. I wish every contractor was like Mike!

I called for an estimate for repair to a damaged fence. I spoke to a representative who said he would be out the next day - that was 3/20/06 and he has still not come. Needless to say, I will not be using them.

Had an appointment set for 3:00 PM. At 4:15 called him to find out where he was. He said he would be there in 25 minutes. Again called at 5:15 and he said he would be there in 15 minutes. He never showed up and never called. It is my feeling that he only works in a given area and will not do work outside that area. This conclusion is from other reports where he did not show. He does not care about word-of-mouth recommendations as I will bad-mouth his company after this. Found the reports of good work from some clients as useless, because of his lack of actions and total disregard of commitment for estimates and what that does for his reputation.

Mike and his team did a great job. Their communication was proactive and thorough. The work was completed on time and within budget. The fence and retaining wall are beautiful. We will certainly recommend them to others and likely use them for other projects in the future.
