Edgar was prompt, courteous, and reliable in his communications. He arrived timely for the estimate, oversaw all facets of the project, even taking me on a field trip to identify different roofing materials to assist in my selection process. Communication from the main office was also responsive and timely. Their workers were conscientious in their efforts and maintained a punctual schedule as the 4.5 day project ensued.

Ability Plus Roofing was one of two roofing companies that have done a large number of jobs in our neighborhood. We had bids done by both for a complete re-roof of our house. We were initially impressed when Edgar came by to do an estimate. He seemed knowledgeable and was very thorough in hisdescription of various aspects of what the job would entail, and was very personable -- as well as giving us a good feeling that he would be very and quot;hands onand quot; and prompt to deal with any concerns we had. Though the bid from Ability Plus was slightly higher than the competing company we got a bid from, Edgar sold us on using this company. The job proceeded well -- and they were even amenable to stopping mid-job and taking a one day break, since my wife had an event at our house that unfortunately coincided with the week of nice weather in May that had been picked to do the job. Everything got finished on time as as expected, and the new roof looks great. Though for the most part this was a 100% positive experience, there were one or two nits that kept things from being straight A's across the board. First and foremost, you can't be in your house while a new roof is being put on! Never having been through this before, this was a somewhat unexpected (and jarring) discovery. If anyone reading this ever plans on re-roofing, plan on being elsewhere during the 2-3 days it's going to take. I kind of sort of wish this had been emphasized to us. Additionally, the thumping caused some things on shelves to fall down. Make sure if you re-roof you do a double-check to make sure nothing inside is and quot;precariouslyand quot; placed. Lastly, I suppose in hindsight I should have realized that a lot of debris would fall through when the shakes were removed, since they were attached to the roof with slats that had gaps in them.We had a lot of boxes, etc. in our attic that ended up with random shake shingle pieces on them, some big, most splintersized. I asked Edgar about this after the fact and he sent someone the next day to help clean things up. They did a good job -- however it appears as if the attic insulation will have this debris on them for the long term, since that was more or less impossible to remove. If you get your shake roof replaced, be sure to ask for some tarps to be put in your attic, and request a post-roofing attic cleanup beforehand. Other than that, I'd give a hearty and quot;thumbs upand quot; to this company.There hasn't been a single issue so far -- even though we've had several downpours this month that severely tested the roof rightoff the bat.

Mike was definitely not high pressure. He did make a color suggestion that we ultimately adopted. We scheduled way in advance to do the work while the family was out of the house except for me. The start day was pushed back several days, and I ultimately had to leave for two weeks before the work was significantly completed. According to reports from neighbors, the job initially scheduled for 3 days ended up taking about two weeks. In Mike's defense, he knew we weren't around, so he probably put others first during that time. When we returned, the quality and the look appear to be excellent. No complaints.

The work was done quickly and when they said they would be there. They cleaned up every splinter and tack. I was very impressed..When I discovered an outside rafter that looked like it wasn't right.. one email with a photo of the discrepancy was all it took. The repair was immediate. I am very satisfied and would hire them again.

They were very good. They charged me $3680 for their services. I'm pretty happy with the work they did. The experience with them was perfect. I couldn't say enough about these guys. They're just great. They got it done in a day and a half. They cleaned up everything and not a bit they left behind. The estimate guys are really good. They get right on the job and I was really happy with it. I will use their services again in the future. I have recommended them to my neighbor who's getting his roof done in the next spring.

Mike came over and we talked about my concerns and he did an inspection. When the bid arrived it contained a firm figure for the roof replacement, and a per sheet figure for any decking that needed to be replaced. I had requested bids from 3 companies. All were good, but Mike's was the most responsive to my worries, and it was also very competitively priced. We scheduled the work, and his crew showed up on time and were very professional. The job was finished on time, was very well done, and I look forward to my first worry free rainy season in a long time.

Mike and his crews called me 2 days before Christmas and asked if we were open to getting the roof done immediately. He had been watching the weather for almost a month looking for an opening so he could get in and do the tear-off and re-roof our house. We agreed and they got right to work. He sent two crews to get the tear-off done quickly. They were all 8 very professional and courteous. In 2 days the job was done except for a small patch where they ran short of shingles. They came back after the Holiday and finished up. Very happy to do business with Ability Plus Roofing.

They were fast and they were good. They got the job done without any issues. They were responsive. They came out the same day that I called them and did the job, without me being around. I was very happy with them. They were inexpensive. I will use them again in the future.

Mike Doyle met with us, gave us an estimate of the roof replacement and options. We selected the type of shake, asked for two new skylights and the gutter guards. The work and materials were excellent, the workers friendly and the result beautiful. The skylight fixture had to be ordered and will be installed in two weeks. The price was as agreed. The response to our questions have been promptly answered. We are very pleased and expect the skylights to be installed promptly. We are very confident that Mike will deal with any problems that may arise, although we do not anticipate than we will have any problems.

They are excellent and I’ve referred them to several people I know. The bid was good, they were clean, they were prompt, and they got it done quickly. There was a tenant in the house and they did not disturb him. I would absolutely use them again.

Mike explained everything to us including different grades and kinds of roofing tiles, told us where we could see the different tile colors, and made sure everything went smoothly. His employees worked tirelessly and cleaned up completely after each day's work.

Everything went extremely well. The crew showed up on time, they worked fast and hard, and the job was done in three days. The foreman took extra care to caulk my chimney and then went back up to paint it! The owner even replaced my hose when I mentioned on the follow up questionnaire that I thought the nails on some plywood had pierced it.

Do get a quote from Ability Plus. It will help you with your decisions/negotiations with other roofers and give you a baseline quote from a quality company. Ability Plus doesn’t have the frills that other companies may have (dedicated sales person, full time on site scrap hauler/site cleaner, yearly inspections, recycling program, etc) however you don't pay for them either. They do a quality job with quality material at a fair price. In quoting my roof I saw prices vary by 100%. The roofers took 4 days to do the work. The first day 10 people came out and tore off the entire old roof and hauled it away. The next 3 days, 2 roofers came out and installed the roofing. Each day they cleaned up and the site it was nicely kept. During my "walk though" on the roof, without Mike, I notice a corner on some flashing was not nailed or cemented appropriately. It took me a few days to get Mike back out to the site to repair however once he came out he completed the work.

It took them three days to finish. The experience was only so so. Their site clean up wasn't very good. They did a little bit of damage to our gutters. The installations itself was great. Tearing off the roof is a messy thing and I think they could have done better with cleaning up.

Called this company to arrange for an estimate to repair a leaking roof; they did not return our call.

We had hoped that the new roof could be laid over the old one. I selected 3 of the most likely roofers from Angie's List. Each provided an estimate promptly. The Ability Plus estimate was considerably less that the other two - and in addition they offered a small "Agnie's List' discount. Two of the three companies advised that the existing (old) roof would present problems if not removed - we opted to have it taken off. We were directed to a roofing supplier (in Beaverton) to select the roofing material. We learned that for a little more we could have a 'Scotchguarded' roof (which we ordered) that resisted moss and was guaranteed for years longer. All in all, Ability Plus did a prompt, first class job.

The man who came out to do the estimate was very thorough; he described exactly what they were going to have to do. We were able to communicate on which material we were going to use and how much each cost.

They did the work very promptly. They finished within two days under the threat of rain. It was big crew that cleaned up well. I was happy with the work. They were the lowest bid we received, they were competitive in their pricing.

He solved a problem for us that no one else could solve and he did it very economically. Everyone else quoted us thousands of dollars and he was able to do it for around $300.

They had a very competitive price and good service. Mike Doyle made an estimate while we were out and then discussed the details with us once we chose him. There were some scheduling issues, but they seemed to be in the normal range of a weather-dependent business. Once they got started they got the roof installed within 2 days. Mike Doyle and the foreman took care of the location and installation of the skylights. They left the property reasonably clean, though we still found nails in our yard long after (which is probably normal with roof replacements). About half a year later we had a small leak in the new roof. Mike responded promptly and immediately sent somebody out to repair the leak. They replaced a part of the roof at no cost (it was still covered under warranty). I would definitely recommend Ability Plus Roofing.

They did a good job of timing the project to coincide with good weather. Materials were delivered on time and work progressed rapidly, completing the whole project in three and a half days. Great job and performed the work in a timely manner including clean up of the yard after the job was done.

He was able to work me in quickly. They had it fixed in no time. He sent me a bill in the mail. I can't say enough good things about them

The work is fine. There doesn't seem to be any problems. It just took a while to happen. We were trying to met a deadline for the house. It was finished two weeks after the house was on the market.
