The lawnmower was looked at and a gasline issue was found. I had it repaired but a different company first and the lawn mower ran 30 secs before dying. They ordered new parts and installed a switch so i could turn the gas off completely and drain the line. Took a while to get the parts but it now runs perfectly.

They turned our backyard, tore out back deck, turned muddy mess into a sanctuary. Its beautiful, everyone compliments on our backyard and it is all because of A&J Landscaping. Highly recommend them, all the workers are polite and trustworthy.

The $65.00 charge above is for them to come out and check to see if we have any water leaks. Our water bill went up by A LOT once we engaged them to do work. They nickel and dime you for everything and every visit. That being said (or written) they do a pretty good job but please be aware that if you engage them, ask them what the price will be, what is and what is NOT included. We assumed that when they came out to check to see if we had a leak, it would be free because they never told us there would be a cost for the visit.

I called to get an estimate to install a backflow box and fix a leak in my sprinkler system. They told me it would be $75.00 for an estimate. They did say they would rebate the $ 75.00 if I chose their services, but for the sake of competition and choosing the best provider, I will not be using their services if they can't even offer an estimate for free.

Took a couple days to get them scheduled but they were very good about communicating. They showed up on time and did exactly what I asked plus gave me a couple pointers to help in other areas. They were very nice to work with.

Came by same day I called. Very friendly, professional and speedy.

They came out and provided 6 man hours of service, but only charged 5 man hours (really wonderful first experience). They pruned 7 trees and cleaned up several other overgrown bushes and plants. I was really impressed with their work. I'm now using them for weekly maintenance.

Tim was very professional, as was his assistant. They worked very hard and finished the work in 4 hours. We did not even think we would get an appointment until May, but there was a cancellation and they called us, to our delight. They came the same day they called, and we are very happy with the results.

The work they did was excellent:) The crews doing the work were very professional and worked very well together. They took the time to answer any of our questions and addressed any concerns we had. Everyone that we were in contact with was very polite. We had a couple of small issues with our sprinkler system and they responded and fixed those issues quickly. We originally hired them to put in the retaining wall & sprinkler system in the back yard and we were so pleased with there work that we had them come back and build the walls around our 4 flower beds. We have also hired them to take care of our lawn maintenance. So far we are pleased with the lawn care. We must say they are professional from the front office to the crews that did our work.

They are responsive and our lawn looks great! We are very happy.

I hired A&J to do a survey of my sprinkler system, adjust the timing so that different zones received the right amount of water and let me know if anything needed work. We had just moved into a new house and have 2 sprinkler control boxes and I just needed to make sure that we were watering correctly around the yard. Tim came out and he brought a novice apprentice with him. So the first surprise was that instead of the quote of $90 / hour, I would now be paying $180 / hour because I was paying for two workers. The junior employee did not contribute his own expertise, instead just followed Tim around so I felt really taken advantage of to pay a full rate for his time. Then Tim just set all my zones for equal amounts of watering.... 10 minutes each zone every day. As the weather got warm and I started watering, this resulted in soggy grass and overwatered plants in some areas and dried out grass and plants in areas of full sun. The loss of one mature plant in a sunny spot was the trigger to realize that I had to go back and do the work myself, adjusting for the right amount of water throughout the yard. Adding insult to injury was the $300+ water bill for my soggy grass. I contacted the owner Al and he had the most awkward response to me. Instead of responding to me directly, he just forwarded my email to Tim and asked him to get back to me. It was so unprofessional I did not even know how to respond. I am the owner of a small business, and if someone has a problem with one of my employees, I'm certainly going to address it myself so that I can be aware of any problems and also do my best to make the customer happy. Maybe Al is too busy to do this or just doesn't care. I will not do business with this company again and do not recommend them.

Trees were removed quickly, larger tree stump was completely ground and removed. On the retaining walls it was frustrating that I couldn't get A&J to recommend more options of materials. Provided gray stones are ok but felt there was better options. Team seemed to work slow until owner came out and watched over them. Overall work was performed completely but would look for competitive bids on future work.

The company arranged an appointment as rapidly as possible. The technician arrived on time, was very personable and professional. and got right to the necessary work, which was done rapidly and is still working a year later! The cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use this company again.

I called and made an appointment, the soonest was a week out, the night before the appointment Tim Hopkins, Irrigation Specialist, called and reschedule the appointment to another day. On the day of the visit Tim arrived we discussed my concerns he ran each zone of the sprinkler system and checked the valve box. He said they could not repair the valves, the sprinkler system did not have enough pressure (likely because valves were leaking), and the heads were poorly placed. His recommendation was not to repair, but replace entire system and he would provide a quote. The visit lasted 15 min and he charged $65 for the visit. Then next day I received the following brief quote via email: "Bid ? Irrigation system installation for front & backyard (4 lawn zones & 3 bed zones): 7 zones @ $1100.00 per zone m/L $7,700.00 Total material & labor", there were no other details regarding type of Timer, Valves, Heads or anything further. I was surprised at the lack of detail seem he could have provide the quote the day before. I paid the bill for $65, and provided a note back to Al Liebertz, Owner and President of A&J Landscape sharing my concern for paying $65 for a 15 min visit and brief quote. A week later I received a voice message from Teresa McCormick, Office Manager, confirming she read my note and she explained the $65 is for the cost of travel and reminded me that the $65 would be deducted from the cost of installing the new system.

Took a few days to get out, due to a lot of irrigation work happening, with our warm, dry summer. But, Tim does a great job, and is prompt, friendly, and efficient. I would recommend them any time, and have on a couple of occasions.

Tim and his partner called and said they could come out earlier than expected, which I was completely fine with. They arrived and got right to work repairing a broken irrigation pipe, which took them about 15 minutes. They then adjusted 3 sprinkler heads, replaced two that were leaking and moved another to a different location. Tim was more than happy to answer all my questions and show me how things worked. Both Tim and his partner were friendly and very professional. I didn't feel like they were in a hurry to get to their next job, which was nice. This was the first time I've used this company and based on the reviews, I'm glad I did. I'd recommend them to others and would not hesitate to use them again. I'm very pleased with how everything turned out!

Tim provided excellent service. He did not fix anything that was working adequately, but he identified a couple of problems I hadn't known about. He and his assistant came exactly when they said they would come, finished the job in just a couple of hours, and ended up coming in at the low end of the original estimate.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Arrived on time. Made the necessary repairs. Left everything in order. Just perfect! We have used this company before and will continue to use them in the future. We highly recommend A & J Landscaping!

Very punctual. On time. Efficient. Prompt and courteous service. Called back quickly. Came out when he said he would (did I mention he was on time?). Fixed 2 broken sprinkler heads. Made sure rest of the sprinklers in the yard were working correctly. Will definitely use again and I recommend them highly.

Tim showed up on Memorial Day (his request, not mine) and immediately repaired the above ground broken PVC pipes. He then tested station valves and quickly found the bad one and replaced it. He then tested the entire system several times to assure that all worked well. I was very impressed with his knowledge and that he had all necessary parts in his truck. Job well done !

Al and his crews did an excellent job of all tasks. Very professional, puntual and good to work with. We have used Al's services for removal of several trees, hedge & shrub trimming, and tree spraying. I've always been pleased with his service and pricing is very reasonable.

This time around they winterized our sprinklers. We have used them for irrigation issues and landscape maintenance in the past. They are awesome. Very easy to work with, very professional. So happy we found them on Angie's list

Excellent! Could not have had a better service. Al came out to see the yard at the beginning. Once the service began, it was clearly superior to other service providers that we have used in the past. Also, folks in the office were always courteous and helpful.
