I called 6-7 fence vendors and Jim was one of only *two* salesmen who actually came out to take a look at our sagging fence and retaining wall before providing a bid (other fence vendors had me send pictures or even just text a description of the job!), which immediately gave his bid more credibility than the other vendors. Jim was great to work with: extremely nice, knowledgeable, professional, and accommodating with our requests. Jim was able to give us a firm date, which was a couple of weeks out from the bid (I gathered from talking to various fence builders that they have extremely busy schedules.). It was important to us that Aloha does not outsource their work - they use their own people and it is clearly a family-run business. The crew was punctual and worked very quickly and efficiently (done within a day!). They cleaned up their work area thoroughly and even raked the dirt smoothly back into place. The work took place after the rains started and they had very muddy conditions to contend with. They had to remove the existing posts holding up the 2' high retaining wall and replace them (sinking the new posts in fast-drying concrete) as well as the vertical boards of treated wood making up the wall, and then rebuild the new fence, which was approx. 60-65 feet long cedar and 6' tall with an overlapping, privacy style. I would highly recommend Aloha Fence and will use them again for any future fencing projects.

Quote was received about 3 months ago for our relatively small repair project. At that time they gave me the date in Ocptber when they would be able to fix it. They came on that date in October, were on time and fixed the fence as promised in the estimate. Would use again in the future.

Roughly 100 ft of 6ft cedar privacy fencing adjacent to retaining wall. Of the three bids we sought, Aloha fence provided the most information, the salesman spent plenty of time explaining how to address the specifics of mounting, foundations, etc, and guided us through the best option for placing the deck. The finished product involved securing the new fence to the wall as well as more conventional mounting of posts. The end result was a significant improvement both in terms of aesthetics and privacy. The second portion was a wood deck approx. 12' x 16' and a foot above grade. The deck is solidly built and uniform in appearance. Both projects were complete in two working days, no debris was left onsite. We were unable to be there during construction, but the quality of the finished project speaks well to the professionalism of the crew.

I have worked with Aloha Fence & Deck on two previous occasions & have found them to be friendly, professional & very efficient at what they do. Jim came out the same day I called & gave me an estimate. He is very knowledgeable with his field. On an appointed date, two of the workmen came &installed the fence & step, cleaned up after themselves & took less than a day in doing so. I am quite pleased with them & have recommended them to friends & family.

Ok, so here is the company you have been looking for. I wanted a local company, and so chose Aloha Fence and Deck partially because I went to Aloha High School, and also based on good reviews from Angie's List. I am so happy I went with Aloha Fence and Deck!! I had some specific wishes on my deck regarding privacy and size, and they accommodated every thing I wanted. There were times when other deck companies would have taken short cuts, but they always went above and beyond to make sure it was done right. The estimate was by far the most professional I had. It was super detailed, and done the same time as the original meeting. They also appreciate that they are not a huge company with a large building for a business storefront, and their prices reflect that. To me, I think that is HUGE plus. You get a more personal experience with a family business that has been doing quality work for over 25 years. The crew was terrific!! The lead crew member has been there for over 25 years, and the rest of the crew is carefully chosen. At times there were 7 crew members here, most other times less, but they have the manpower for sure. So this a real review from a VERY happy customer. My main suggestion is to have an estimate done a couple of months before you need to have the work done. This goes for all deck contractors, but in this case, the wait is worth it. I have had a number of contractors work on my house in the last few years. Of all of those contractors these guys were by far the best. You will not be disappointed if you go with them ... because they will make sure that you get exactly what you want. Decks are not cheap, but you will save money going with Aloha Fence and Deck. And then like magic, in a few days to a week, you will have an awesome deck that you can be proud of for years to come!!

When our 34 year old fence blew down, we needed to replace it. We called Aloha Fence and Deck on a Tuesday afternoon. Jim Montgomery came out the next morning, did a walk through, gave us an estimate, and on Nov 15, (about 2 weeks later), our fence was installed. It was necessary to remove our old fence boards and posts, set new posts in fast acting concrete, and nail new boards plus provide a cap to the top of the fence. The man who worked on our fence, Zefraim, was very, very good, and despite the cold, windy weather, completed the job on time, with excellent quality. Betty is the lady at the main phone number who makes the appointments and settles the accounts. She was prompt, professional and called exactly when she said she would. Hiring Aloha Fence and Desk was a very positive experience. Their professionalism, quality & pricing, plus being a family owned, local company, was a big plus for us. I will definitely call them again any time I need fence or deck work done at our home.

I received a phone call saying they finished a project early and wanted to know if they could come out a day early which was fine with me. I had send them pictures of the fence style I received which they didn't get but It just took a few minutes and I showed him the pictures and they got started. It took them about 5 hours and the fence looks great. They cleaned up after themselves and other than the new fence you wouldn't have known they were here. Will definitely call next year to have the fence on the other side replaced.

EXCELLENT!!!! I called late 3 30pm to get a bid on the project Came out the same day as I called . Jim came out for the bid but also made some excellent suggestions. As to making the fence as attractive and affordable as possible. Gave me an actual detailed bid with drawings on it. Out of the 3 companies I had called Jim was the only one to do that on the spot. They were weeks out but knew I was getting ready to list my home. So Jim said they would do it that Saturday and Sunday. I had many questions concerning product and the actual process. As I had inquired with other companies and was quite confused.JIm made sure I understood the lumber lingo, and wrote down all of my specific requirements on the spot. Answered my questions about the difference in Douglas fir versus cedar, top rails and the gates. Was very patient as I reviewed twice what was to be done. Jim was the estimator and I was blown away by his knowledge and detail of the project. Betty called that night for the deposit and had also made the appointment. Betty who answers the phone does the bookkeeping was accommodating and always responded quickly. UNDERPROMISED AND OVERDELIVERED!!! That was the case with each person I dealt with at Aloha Fence and Deck which was most important to me. Mike and Serafin were the fence professionals that actually came out on Friday afternoon for 3 hours and reviewed again everything I wanted done and got the posts in. On Saturday they showed up on time and had to make some adjustments which they absorbed the cost and explained to me every step. They suggested a rounded gate which really made the fence look even that much nicer at no extra cost. Mike and Serafin treated me like a valued customer and took the time to have myself and my husband review before the final install. Mike and Serafin finished on the same day and the fence completely exceeded my expectations. Both made sure I was totally satisfied cleaned up after their work. Gave me good advice on maintaining and if I needed to adjust the size of gates in the future. This project was completely DRAMA FEE, no surprises and no excuses at all.

It's nice to work with a small, local company that is also organized but not too formal. They promptly provided a bid, changed the parameters on a Saturday when the neighbor wanted a different style, and then installed on exact date and time. Well worth the money. Removal of old concrete and wood was done by one guy on a very warm day. He poured and installed the new posts, then came back out the next day to build the fence and gate. Nice wood, solid base, and nicely fashioned gate. Nice work.

Mike of Aloha Fence was very honest. He told me the rest of the fence was fine and didn't need to be replaced. He adjusted/trimmed some gates as part of their service.

Mike, the owner, was great. Very obliging did additional services at no extra cost. Nice looking fence and side gate. Cannot describe how helpful he was. A pleasure to work with. I have used a lot of contractors in the last three years renovating an old duplex for personal and rental use. He was in the top 3. Thanks Mike

They answered my call promptly and the estimator came by within two days. Their pricing was very good and when I called to schedule they came the following week. So response was very good. I had a couple of special requests and they said no problem and made sure those requests were done. They came across three challenges - a bee nest next to the fence, a retaining wall, and a huge tree root. They took care of the issues easily. They finished right on time and the fence looks Great. The two gates they did for me are beautiful. They cleaned up and all through worked to keep my lawn from being damaged. I highly recommend them.

Aloha Fence and Deck were great. I decided to use them because of the price and we liked the representative that came by. We were a little concerned because there weren't more recommendations on Angie's List, but it ended up being a great situation. The others we were looking at were way more expensive because I think they were accustomed to doing more commercial and larger homes. That's why we went with them and we were glad we did. We had a stump that we were trying to pull out in front and the guy offered to do that for us, he didn't have to do that.

They only charged $22 per foot. They did an excellent job and made sure everything was done right.
