I haven't hired them yet, but the impression I had of them was very good and their bid was worth considering! They were referred to me by very good friends who heard about them through other people, and so far, I've only heard positive things about them. One thing I like about him was the thorough estimate, he went up on the roof himself and gave me an estimate based soley on what he saw on my roof and without me explaining everything going on with the insurance company, which I really appreciated.

I requested an estimate for a full roof replacement which was twice the amount I received from two other reputable roofing companies.

I contacted Bob Maupin of Salazar upon the recommendation of a friend who recently had her roof replaced, along with an exterior remodel. Bob was responsive, reasonable and easy to work with. The actual work took a few days longer than anticipated, but this was because Bob told them to hand nail the shingles instead of using nail guns. The quality of the work was outstanding. They did an excellent job with clean-up. One note, however. Tell them upfront to take pictures and contact your adjuster before replacing any decking. They forgot to take pictures of my old deck, and the adjuster declined to cover it. Salazar made it right, but a few photos would have saved everyone a little unneeded stress. I was very pleased with their customer service, and I would highly recommend Salazar based upon my experience.

I got a referral from my insurance company and went to their Lawton office. Joy was the office contact and she was very friendly and took my contact information for someone to contact me to scheduld an appointment for an estimation. Alfred called and set an appointment. I told him that I lived in Moore and the home the work was to be done on was my mother's in Lawton. He sit the date and time and on the morning he was to meet me he called my home in Moore. I called the Lawton office and they contacted him and scheduled a second appointment which he never called to say he was not going to show. Two trips was wasted. I will not contact them again and I will find someone else to take care of the job.

From start to finish they were outstanding. They picked up after themselves and there was not a nail anywhere in our yard. They used pictures to show us the work and they brought samples for us to choose from for the roof material. They did spouting work for us and it was seamless. They were very quick, efficient, and their estimate was good.

We actually used Salazar twice: once for the summer 2009 hail storm damage to our roof and again for the summer 2010 hail damage to our roof. Both times we were very satisfied. The representative checked our roof carefully after the insurance company adjuster had assess the damage. Salazar found that the damage was far more extensive than the insurance company had estimated (in both instances). We gave them permission to act in our behalf with the insurance company. The Salazar rep met with the insurance adjuster at our home and showed him what had been missed in his assessment. The adjuster agreed and provided us with the correct amount to restore our roof to excellent condition. What we also like about Salazar is their responsiveness as well as their quality assessment system. All along the time our job was being completed, quality inspectors came to check the job. When they found anything that was not up to par, the workers had to return to make corrections. This usually happened without our making any contact with them. When we found a small issue with our gutter, we called, and the correction was immediately made. We will never use any other roofing company.

I think their estimate to our insurance was really high. They did not follow through on getting back to us or on what they said they would do. They had stated that they would send photos to our insurance company and never did. We ended up choosing someone else for the job.

They did not do any work for me. They did not charge me for the estimate. The gentleman was very nice. He was friendly. They gave me a comparable estimate.

They did a beautiful job! Unfortunately the man who was hired to do the job spent a lot of time sitting in a chair in my bedroom. He ended up using my copy machine which he was not authorized to use. I finally got tired of him and asked him to leave. He ended up getting paid around $500.00 for this job and I do not feel he deserved it.

They were very adament about wanting my business. I told them I was checking around but they continued to call even when I told them I would contact them. During my talks with Salazar, I was told they would waive my $1000 deductible if I put their sign in my front yard. When I brought that up again later, they said they would only waive $500 of it. I told them they weren't keeping their word and their response was they would honor the $1000 waive if I put their sign in my front yard starting that day. I replied by saying that I had not yet committed to their business so I guess the deal was off. Well, they still honored the $1000 waive even though I didn't decide to go with them until a couple weeks later. The job was completed in one day (in by 9am, out by 5pm). From what I could tell, they did a great job and cleaned up well after themselves. I did have three issues, however: 1) I noticed that they had spray-painted over my existing vent pipes, even though they were supposed to be replaced (could still see the hail dents in them). 2) I had a problem with the wrong vent cap being installed. The first time I tried to turn my furnace on, it didn't work. I called the heating and air company; they came out and told me the vent cap was too small, restricting airflow, and therefore making the furnace not turn on. I tried to call Salazar but couldn't get ahold of anyone. I was caught between not knowing if I should wait for Salazar to come out and fix it or have the heating and air company fix it then (to prevent me having to pay for another service call). I left a message for Salazar but never got a returned call. I them left a message saying that I had spent the $75 for a new vent cap and would like Salazar to reimburse me. When I still didn't get a returned call, I threatened calling the BBB, and got an immediate phone call back. Salazar did reimburse me the $75. I had asked if I could get it spray-painted to match the rest of the pipe but that never happened. I just finally went ahead and bought a can of spray paint that closely matched the color. 3) I realized after looking at the new shingles that they weren't what I had ordered. Prior to the job being done, I had a representative from Salazar come out with samples and we held it against my brick to find the best match. What I got was my second choice, so I wasn't too upset about it. But still, it would have been nice for them to get the order right. Overall, it's hard to rate the whole experience. The roof itself looks great; it's just the communication and responsiveness on the back-end that was less-than-adaquate. I sure got a lot of push and quot;up-frontand quot; to go with Salazar but it seems like after I handed over that check, I had to jump through a few hoops. My hope in writing this experience is that Salazar would work a little bit harder on communicating with the customer after the job has been completed.

I had a good experience with main company, but I did not like the foreman that they sent to oversee the work.

Had to return to locate and repair one leak, which has been a problem area for years,difficult spot. Responsive office staff.

I called to set up an estimate and got an answering machine. I received a follow-up call in a timely manner and set up an appointment for an estimate. They never showed, called, nothing.

I spent $18000 for replacing the roofs on two houses. They were excellent. They showed up on time. They cleaned up the property when they were finished. I had a very good experience with the sales person. There was no pressure at all. One of the houses definitely needed a new roof and I could have waited to get the roof done on the other house, but the insurance company had already funded it. So I told them to go ahead with it. That’s why the roofer didn’t try to pressure me to put another roof on it.

During both roof replacements, Salazar representative Bobby Nash worked with our insurance company adjuster to increase the amount we received so that our work could be properly done. Instead of just cutting corners, he met with adjuster, made phone calls and managed to complete a job with which we are very pleased.

They had to repair a couple of leaks. They did a fair job but after a month the roof had a new leak. When asked, they informed me that they had nothing to do with it and it just happened. They told that it was not due to the damage caused before and also that they did not cause it. Their company has been here for a very long time.

At first, all was good. The roof went on smoothly, no issues. They left and our account representative stated that they would be back next week to install the new window screens that were included in my estimate. 2 weeks went by, no screens... Then I noticed that where the roof met the siding, it looked as though someone had ripped the roof right off the house and just laid a new one back on with no regard to damages caused by the roof repair. I contacted them and they said that they (as roofers) were not responsible for the damage to the home because it was not part of the roof??? By the way this is 2 months later and to add insult to injury, still no screens. Using my keen observations skills, I noticed that their logo read Salazar Roofing and CONSTRUCTION! I asked "Can your construction division not repair this damage that you so obviously caused? No answer. It was not my intent to have the repairs done for free, I even encouraged them to contact my insurance company and have my assessor return for an updated claim. No answer. Many of you may think this is the end, but there is more! Defeated by the man, I moved on with my life, and then the rains came. Not a little, but a lot. And wouldn't you know it, the roof leaked in the same exact spot it had been leaking before the roof was even replaced! I know this because the leak(s) is on my fireplace and the water leaves an obvious path in the bricks. Once again they came back out, this time I contacted a different Salazar office and they sent someone right away. He inspected the fireplace and said that it was not their supreme roof but my fireplace was cracked??? The inspector seemed to be as genuine as possible so I am not doubting his claims. In my opinion the original sales person was so EXCITED to sell me a roof that he did not even notice the root cause of my problem!!! Be leery of any business with this company, it is difficult to notice what they have done (or not done) until they are long gone. Oh yeah, still no screens.

Contacted Salazar Roofing and made an appointment, for later that day (6/1/10), for them to come to out house. They did not show up. Called two hours after the scheduled appointment time and was told they forgot about it but that they would come shortly. They did come and received and estimate. The next week I went to their office and needed further information regarding the estimate (for the insurance company) and they could not find their copy. They said they would "get back with me." Approximately two weeks later received a call from Salazar Roofing and they wanted to come out and give us another estimate. Made an appointment but they never showed up. Consequently, used another roofing company that was recommended to us and am very satisfied! The roofing company is Aspen Contracting.

They never called us again or came back. They were very communicative when they came. We called them because they were pretty heavily advertised. First they sent a gentleman to look at the roof and then they sent someone else to take the measurements. However, we never ever heard back from them so we hired someone else.

They have been doing the work for a month and a half now. I paid around $14000 on the job. They replaced the roofing, the siding on the north side of the house, and gutters all around. They did excellent work. There was a lot of hail damage and they did the work. The roofing was done very quickly. The siding and gutters took a long time. However, I have to take into account that there was a major hailstorm at that time. So, I guess they were busy. I would say that they did excellent work. Their price was good. I will use them again in the future.

Since the company didn't bother to give me an estimate, I will not be using them. Very bad business to not bother giving an estimate.

I received a recommendation for them from a friend. I was very pleased with their work and they were really good. They provided me with a free estimate as well. One of the windows was hard to open, and they fixed the problem too. I was very impressed.

They did a wonderful job. They did exactly what they said they would. They were on time and efficient. The finished product had no problems whatsoever.

No services were performed because no one called me back to make arrangements to come out and inspect my roof and give me an estimate.
