Top Flight is a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction. From the large to small jobs we will be able to please you...guaranteed. **10% Discount for Fertilization and Weed Control yearly programs that are paid for in full!

"They hydro seeded my new pond embankments day before major thunderstorms rocked my area. I called them to state it looked too me that the majority of their seed washed away, but was told it was probably just the coloring, wait, water daily, and we'll see in a month. Called a month later and left message that 80% of pond was bare. Called again a week later and left message again, still no reply. Called three days ago and left another message, still no reply. Beware of these clowns, no customer service at all. If you find you have to hire them, hold your payment until you actually see the results they promise!"

We offer 10% discount for a pre paid full program. Also, there is a $25 voucher off your last application for each person you refer to us who buys a full program.

"Horrible experience. I decided to contact Weed man because they are the only lawn fertilization company with an “A” rating for my area. I had only one request: that I be contacted prior to a technician showing up because I had questions. Next thing I find is a bill on my door. No one called or texted, and I was given the explanation, "I don't know what happened." Technician treated my lawn while I was at home working in my office. He never had the common courtesy to knock on the door, even with two vehicles parked in the driveway. Just stuck the bill on my door and left. I was told there was a follow-up to take place approximately two weeks after the initial treatment. No one showed. I did receive a sales call later trying to sell me service to treat grubs. I asked how it was possible to know I have a grub problem if it hadn't been determined at the time of my first treatment and no one had returned since. I was told that other people in my area had the problem, so I guess that qualified me to have the same problem. I was unaware that my phone number would be used for unsolicited sales calls. It would sound more sincere coming from a technician who managed to show up and assess my lawn. I declined the offer. I was contacted about the attempt to make a second treatment. Then a cancellation at 3:15 pm the day of, due to the technician having an illness. Two days later, I was notified of treatment for the next day, but again, at 4:30 pm, I was notified that he was sick again and had to cancel. I would think I would have been priority after the first cancellation, but no such consideration was made. I had a voicemail for another reschedule, but again, a cancellation due to rain. Then another text for a reschedule, so I requested to just cancel my service. This company seems to be full of excuses, justifiable or not. The way I look at it is this company has failed to follow through on a single commitment after four failed attempts. As a customer, I don’t want to hear excuse after excuse, I just want the job completed. If you think it’s going to rain, don’t schedule the customers that request prior notification. Especially, the ones that have received multiple cancellations. If you must cancel a treatment, make that customer a priority. I don’t know why this is so hard. We’ll see how the competition performs. I’m not sure why this company is listed on Angieslist. I’ve never had this kind of problem before."

Lawn fertilization and treatments FAQs

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:

  • Fertilization: $80–$400

  • Soil testing: $700–$2,100

  • Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560

  • Treating weeds: $110–$325

  • Mowing: $50–$210

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

The frequency with which you should fertilize your lawn depends on its overall health. Healthy lawns with healthy soil may only need to be fertilized annually. On the other hand, you may need to fertilize lawns with shallow roots, poor soil, or neglected or over-fertilized every six weeks. To determine the best fertilizing schedule for your lawn, consider hiring a professional lawn fertilizing service and consult them about recommended frequency based on your lawn’s health.

Lawn aeration costs between $75 and $350 on average, depending on the size of the lawn, aeration type, slope of the lawn, soil type, lawn prep, and location. Keep in mind that it costs an average of $0.10 to $0.35 per square foot to aerate a lawn that’s less than 1,000 square feet. Different types of lawn aeration include:

  • Spike aeration: $85

  • Core aeration: $200

  • Liquid aeration: $75

Whether organic or synthetic fertilizers are better for your lawn depends on your goals, budget, and plans for other lawn treatments. Organic fertilizer costs more but is likely to benefit your lawn more in the long run by improving the soil as well as feeding your grass. Synthetic fertilizers get faster results but don’t enrich the soil and may contaminate nearby bodies of water if you live on a shoreline. A hybrid fertilizer may be an option to give you the benefits found in both organic and synthetic fertilizers.
