+ 0 moreWe were having a problem with the pilot on the water heater going out. The first trip the plumber replaced the thermocouple, which did not fix the problem. We called back and had another visit replacing another part. I had to pay for two full service calls even though the first diagnosis was incorrect. This may be standard I don't know. When I called to question the bill the plumber essentially told me that if would have not bought a particular brand of hot water heater I would not have the problems I'm having. This may be correct. The real problem was after the problem was fixed we were getting a lot of noise in the pipes whenever we used the hot water. When I finally isolated the problem I found out that the plumber on the second visit had failed to turn the cold water supply back on to the water heater. I'm not a plumber, but I think I would know you have to turn the supply line back on.
Description of Work: The pilot light on the hot water heater would not stay on. After replacing the thermocouple and the thermostat it was fixed.

+ -1 moreI called on a Wed for Friday afternoon installation because my regular plumber had people on vacation and would not be able to come. My countertops were being replaced on Fri morning and I did not want to go the whole weekend without a kitchen sink. Chad told me it would be about $200-225 for the work, would probably take 2 hours and they could come at 2:30 on Fri. The actual plumber arrived at 2:21 and began work. He was done within the hour and the bill was $115. He was very professional and courteous. He checked everything for leaks (found one, repaired it) and left. I will use them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

+ -1 moreI will use this company exclusively from now on. I have recommended them to all family and friends. There are many things that set this company apart from the rest. Up front the fact that Chad stays in touch with you and makes certain that all bases are covered is such a rare treat. Gary was very generous with explanations and recommendations on how I could maintain my own home as well as how I could most cost effectively use their services, e.g., having parts from manufacturers in hand prior to their service call. Within the next few weeks I will schedule my follow up once I know how long the faucet manufacturers will take to get my parts sent to me. So far, I could not be more pleased. I will make another report after their next visit. As for now, Hurrah for One Way!
Description of Work: I will try to be concise. I called many, many plumbers (30+), to repair a Kitchenaid faucet. Once I described the faucet and offered to email a full blown up technical sheet and Chad was the only on to even entertain working with me. He called me upon receiving file we discussed the best way to try and repair. However, I eventually received a new faucet from Kitchenaid and asked One Way to come and install. In addition, I needed someone to look at why my shower pressure was so low. Chad and I made an appointment for this work. A plumber other than Chad came to do the work and I was a little disappointed with that until I saw that, Gary, was more than competent. He had my faucet in within 20 minutes. Gary also noted that my drain from the garbage disposal could be improved upon greatly, he described everything to me in detail including that it had a small leak (I'd always noticed a small amount of water from somewhere but could never identify). He quickly looked at my shower, dismantled, removed a small screen that was clogged, and showed me how I could clean this myself from now on. I also had two other plumbing issues I showed to Gary. He explained what I could do to make his next service call regarding these two issues less lengthy e.g., more expensive. I will make another appointment with One Way which will be after I receive recommended parts from manufacturers (life time warranty on these pieces). Lastly, having a kitchen faucet and a strong pressured shower is really, really nice!

He tapped into a main gas line in my attic, ran a new line down an interior wall in my kitchen, and installed a shut-off valve, exactly as needed, and exactly for the estimated price.

I then checked the Tulsa BBB and was pleased to find this firm is a member and had no complaints for the prior 3 years. I called at 0900 to set up an appointment. Chad set up an appointment for between 1130 - 1200. At 1030, I got a call from Josh to let me know he was on his way. Josh proved to be very friendly and professional. He completed the job in less than 30 minutes. The price for this job was within a few dollars of what I expected. After completion of this job, I talked with Josh about replacing a commode. He gave me a quote that is very reasonable. I will schedule this job during July 2007. Thank you Angie's List and thank you One Way Plumbing.
