Lee Slater Painting

Lee has a work ethic you don't normally find these days! He and his partner Dave did an amazing job painting the interior of my home. They are both very skilled and dedicated in what they do. Lee has excellent drywall skills and pays close attention to every detail. I felt very comfortable having them work in my home. They left every room cleaner than when they started. They were very polite, friendly, and always showed up on time. Lee's work and professionalism is worth every dime. You will not be disappointed if you hire Lee Slater.

Lee and his partner did a great job. They were very conscientious and detail-oriented. No issues with paint where it wasn't supposed to be, no missed nail holes, etc. Lee might be a little pricier than some of the other companies out there, but you get what you pay for. Would definitely hire again.

Project took about two weeks. Lee and team did excellent work and were very professional. Highly recommend.

He showed up on time to give us an estimate and seemed like a nice person; HOWEVER, his estimate was twice as high as the estimate we got from Helm Renovations. Helm Renovations are excellent - we've used them before - but usually pretty high priced. We were shocked that this guy was twice higher than Helm, and we know nothing about the quality of his work. We wondered if he charges more because he's on Angie's List??.

We had used Lee and his services in our own home for a master suite remodel (bedroom and bath) including removing a "popcorn" ceiling. He did such a good job we knew we would use him again. One of our investment homes turned over in July of 2015. We had a narrow 3 week window to make it ready for new tenants. Lee was able to work us in to his schedule. Several walls throughout the home had large and some smaller holes to be patched and some full walls to be painted. Lee and his crew can patch any size "hole" in drywall and make it completely undetectable. It usually takes 2-4 coats of "mud" with drying time between each to make this happen. Lee or one of his crew would stop by, sand, then apply another coat,and return and repeat as needed. They are true craftsmen. Lee always keeps to the agreed schedule, does outstanding work and charges a reasonable rate. We even trust Lee to come and go (for sanding between skim coats) when we are not at the property. He is on our preferred painter/wall expert.

This is the second time I have used Lee Slater, he is excellent. He came out gave me a bid and worked me into his work schedule. He and his co-hort Dave showed up on time and did an awesome job. His prices are fair and he is meticulous in his work. I will use him whenever I can, and no we're not related :)

Lee and his helper showed up on time for all 5 days it took to do our remodel of a guest bedroom and bath. Some of the time was intermittent as they had to wait for the "mud" for the patches to dry. We had a popcorn ceiling to remove including stains from an attic leak. Bedroom walls included repairing large holes left by old intercom panel and other smaller holes. Lee chalked all of the baseboards even though we didn't expect him to. He wound up having to skim coat almost all of the walls to smooth them out plus the ceiling before painting. The job came out beautifully. I don't know they can get a ceiling to look so flawless. He cleaned up nicely and the price was exactly what he had quoted. My husband and have 5 nice rental homes and Lee will be our go-to guy for painting and all the other skills it takes to do a great job of walls and painting.

Lee and his son came in and did a good job. Very professional and courteous.

I spent around $200, they were on time, professional and I'm getting ready to use them again.

Although we did not go with Lee, he did return my call promptly and answered all of my questions. I appreciated his professionalism as well. Although we didn't go with Lee, his price matched the company we did use so I know his prices are fair. Maybe next time!

Lee and his company do an excellent job. We've had them here three times now to paint various rooms in the interior of our home. He's painted walls and ceilings for us in several rooms. They have been on schedule, on time, and reasonably priced. They are very professional and punctual. The rooms look great, and Lee always cleans up well, too. I'm home with my three little girls while Lee is here, and he's very courteous . We'll definitely be using him again!

We found Lee Slater through Angies List, and got an estimate on removing popcorn from a long hallway, painting the hall ceiling, removing wallpaper from bathroom walls, and painting the entire bathroom. While he was not the lowest bidder, we could not be happier with our choice, and would be eager to recommend him for this type of work. He and his helper, Dave, were always on time as agreed and took great pains to do the job in a very professional manner. They always shielded the house from excess paint and were even more particular with the work than we could ever be. The best contractor we have ever used in renovating a 3310 sq. ft. home over ten years. A really great experience.

Lee is extremely professional and takes his work seriously. He was not the cheapest bid but I could tell with the way he approached the bid and walk through that he would do the best job. I was correct. He had do do more work than we thought to get everything right- but he made sure it was perfect . We found a few things mid way through that were not in his initial scope of work in his bid and he came up with a fair price - afterwards he came back a couple of times for touch up which almost NEVER happens with contractors. This was by far my BEST experience with a contractor. He did exactly what he said he would and made sure it was perfect. I will use him again without question.

Lee Slater and his assistant, Gabe, prepped and painted all our interior doors and trim, window trim, exterior doors and front porch. Lee consistently called me back quickly and showed up when he said he would. His prices were very fair and the work was very good. They cleaned up very well each day they worked in our home. Very satisfied!

Lee (and colleagues Dave and Julie) were consummate professionals satisfied only when everything was perfect. This was a 3 week job, and removing popcorn ceilings is nasty work, but they kept the dust to a minimum by enclosing each area prior to work. And afterwards, before leaving for the night, they cleaned everything. We questioned if we could live in the house while this was going on, but they made it possible. And then they worked and re-worked the ceilings making them very smooth. We are very pleased with the results.

Lee and Dave were both professional and on time. They were very detailed in the prep work needed to protect the ceiling, the floor, the walls, granite, etc. in my home. The kitchen cabinets now look brand new. Their attention to detail was most appreciated. I would use Lee again for any future painting needs. I also appreciated the fact that it took maybe one day longer than what was anticipated because Lee wanted to repaint the upper doors on the cabinets. I offered to pay him 90% for the job since it was going to take one day longer (paying the remainder when job was finished) and he said No, he wanted to make sure I was happy with the job before I wrote the check for the total job. Impressive....

Awesome work. They fit me into schedule; I was in no hurry. Came by to work as they could and still got it done in an acceptable time. The walls look great. Wonderful people, trustworthy (they had a key to the house to get in themselves), and very nice cleanup.

Lee did an excellent job. He was courteous, professional, and reliable. The room is very large, and we were surprised that he was able to do all the work in less than three days. His price was very reasonable considering the amount of work involved. We have no complaints at all about the quality of the work, and we plan to use Lee again in the future.

I called Lee a week before Thanksgiving. He started before Thanksgiving and finished the week after. He was very good at working with our schedule and working us into his busy schedule. Everything went well. Lee and his partner were very professional. They moved furniture and took care to make sure drop clothes covered floor and any furniture left in the room while painting. After they finished they put everything back the way it was and cleaned up. The results were great. We are very pleased with how the house looks.

It went GREAT! We hired Lee to paint our living room after I saw his many "A" ratings on Angie's list. Our house is two-story and living room is open up to the second story with vaulted ceilings. Lee arrived with assistant Dave and they were 110% professional, courteous, on-time. Did the work very efficiently and just an overall pleasant team to have worked with. They just do good work in a cost effective and pleasant manner. Can't find that enough these days! Highly recommend them.

He did a great job. He left at 5 or 6 and he was there all day.

We set a time and f he was delayed he called. Worked quickly.

Answered "hello" did not identify who he was or the company. I had to ask making sure I had the right number. No call backs made to meet so I called & he finally showed up, still not calling to let me know when he would be there. Assessed it but I had to call back for a price. He asked what I thought & I told him he was the expert & to tell me. Made a time to meet again late on a Sunday but never showed. I had my husbands me the call to pin him down with specific instructions on when to meet WITH a call telling us he'd be there. Finally got the job done looked fine but we had to do the painting because he didn't have the time to come back after it dried. Not communicative even in person & we came away with it thinking the job was too small & a waste of his time.
