I'm picky because so much of my money has gone to contractors. I've had MANY, MANY bad ones, but Michael Joy was not one of them. This was years ago (nearly 15), but Michael came out and installed two bathrooms worth of 6 inch white tile... the installation was fantastic, even with his then apprentice son doing some of the work. I had one issue with a raised tile on the floor right where I step, and Michael came out immediately to fix it (his inexperienced son had installed). Not until recently did I have issues with any of the tile or grout, other than it showing dirt in the grout and caulking because the grout was not sealed and I did not use the proper caulk when re-caulking (I now have the OK GroutSmith coming out to repair). I don't know of any problems behind the walls with mold or anything like that, as I think they used a good backer board and liner where needed. I recommended Michael to my neighbor a couple of years ago, and they told me that they are very satisfied, and that MJ / his crew did a fine job; they said MJs crew was the first contractor they EVER had to show-up timely, when they said they would - certainly I'll be asking her again (how the job has held- up) based on the other review in here who gave him an F (which averages MJ to a C). I don't know Michael well personally, but based on my (and my neighbor's) professional dealings with him, I cannot imagine that his crew deserves an F, or that he did not try to rectify the problem. These reviews are fine, but everything is subjective when it comes to pickiness... it's possible that some just need professional (medical) help. I'm sure Michael can do fine on his own without my review, I just wanted to put in a good word for him. And, a word to everyone, including contractors: please do not use your young relatives or inexperienced people to do the installations when you can discern that you may have a perfectionist client on your hands; my house is a wreck because I can't find anyone to do the jobs even CORRECTLY (much less perfectly).

the work on the project was good. counter tops look great. backsplash is well placed and looks great. only major issues we had with the whole project was the lack of communication with dates and times things would be done. I would be up in the air about choosing Michael Joy for further projects. from all of our research you can not beat his prices.

Showed up when scheduled, did great job, did the counter top first, then a tile man came and did floor. Area looks beautiful and price was more than fair. The owner came out twice during job to oversee things. I would love to have them back to do kitchencountertops and floor.

They installed the granite and sink. The main island counter was not the right size and too short on the overhang side. Also one corner was supposed to be curved similar to the others and he put a sharp corner on it. He apparently never took notes on the day we discussed things. Then tried to blame us because he did it wrong. Even though we gave him the opportunity to fix things, he refused to do so. Therefore we asked for our money back and had him remove the counters. He could have minimized his losses by putting in a new counter top because he could've re-used 80-90% of the slab that was cut wrong. However, by refusing to fix things he lost more money on materials and the labor to remove everything. Obviously not a smart business decision.

We had a schedule set and followed for the most part. Michael called in the mornings to explain the days work. Workers showed up everyday on time, most days we allowed them to come into our house with no one present. Everyone was professional and courteous. The few minor issues we had were addressed and taken care of promptly. With the exception of us selecting more expensive tile, our invoice reflected our original estimate. We are very happy with all work done by Joy Marble & Tile and are using them for more upcoming projects.

Estimate was good, installation started on-time. Great quality installation on the backsplash and the countertops. Installation took longer than estimated because they left one guy to finish tile. Clean-up was only so/so; but I could live with it.

It went absolutely wonderful. I hired him to retile my kitchen and all my tiles on the first floor. They showed up when they said they were going to. The price they said, they even did better. I felt like they acted it was their own shower they were doing. They did a good job. I would recommend them. I thought they charged me a very fair price.

The owner needs to take more interest with customer satisfaction, show up on jobsites to see how projects are going and follow-up with the customers after project ends to see if customers are satisfied.

Joy Marble &Tile was very responsive to my request and Mike came out with samples of tile for me to choose from. We setup a day and his tile installers came in and went right to work. The whole process took a little over a week and they did a fantastic job. I just love my new shower. I feel like I'm on vacation every time I shower now. It is so beautiful and warm. The natural stone tile I picked out is installed perfectly, and the granite pieces really accent the stone and give a very rich look.

I am in the cabinet business and have dealt with many different granite companies around the Tulsa area. There are several that provide good service and fair pricing, but I was looking for someone who I could recommend my customers to on a regular basis and not worry about them being overcharged or overlooked. One of my customers, who flips houses on a regular basis, told me about Joy Marble and Tile. She said they had great prices and great service, so I met with Sherry in person and we hit it off right away. Very personable and was very concerned with my personal needs for my shop and how I wanted my customers treated. I ordered my granite and it was delivered and installed right on time. I now refer almost all of my cabinetry customers to Joy for the granite and tile needs. As far as I know everyone who has ordered products from them has been happy with the experience. One major thing I noticed right away, was that Sherry Helms, their main sales person, didn't pretend to be a know-it-all. But instead she knows how to find the correct answer for tough situations that we sometimes can run into in construction situations.
