Handyman Extraordinaire

After making an appointment the contractor found he had double scheduled for the time and had to cancel. it took two weeks to reschedule and then the estimate was just a price with no breakdown on work, services or material quality. When I asked for a little more detail, I had to call and email several times to get any response. Another week passed and then I was told that he was no longer interested in the job. Basically I wasted three to four weeks and was frustrated with the contractor not responding to telephone or email messages in any kind of timely manner.

I am impressed so far with their services. They have done what they said they would do so far. Am waiting to set a date for the work to occur.

I called to get an estimate on having windows installed. I was basically told to call someone else. She said they wouldn't have anyone available in the Okmulgee area for 2 -3 weeks. I told her that was fine because no one was living in the house. She still told me to find someone else. If they didn't want to service the area, then they need to remove that they service within 50 miles of Tulsa.

The experience couldn't have been better. I researched them on Angie's list. I read all recent reviews. Mike Mefford came out to give me an estimate. He was professional and thorough. I approved his estimate. He set a time for him and his crew to bring the materials and repair my arbor and fence. They were here between 3-4 hours, completed the repairs, hauled off the debris and the job was excellent. I paid them and have already asked him to come back to assist me with another project.

Responded quickly to request for services and arrived on time for both appointments.

Mike was very professional the first appointment he came in took notes of our to do list, gave us a ballpark figure and scheduled a day when he could get the work done. I have not complaints overall great!

Everything went fine overall. Jodie was helpful in my choosing just the right combo of colors. We worked in a grey family and everyone who sees it is greatly impressed.

It didn't go well at all. All I got from them is how all of their people are bonded and liscensed and such but nothing else.

The office staff was professional both times I called. Someone was sent out within a couple of days to see the work that needed to be done. He said that he would total up the estimate and email me. He never emailed me. after about a week I called the office and the person on the phone apologized and said that she would contact the guy that came out and that he would call me or email me, neither of which he did. So, after about another week, I went with another company I found on Angie's list.

Very nice and flexible with hours available. Very curtious and even vacuumed up the sawdust and had layed out a rug on the wood floor for protection - very professional and has and quot;pride in workmanshipand quot;.

The leak has been fixed. We were very well pleased with the service. The paint matching was excellent and the outcome was great. We had great communication with them and they were very prompt. The guy that came and did the work was very consciencious. He didn't hesitate to help us out and point out some things that we didn't notice. I appreciated his efforts to clean up. He was even able to keep the dust and everything from getting in the rest of the house. The price was extremely reasonable for the amount the work.

They were super. The fellow came out and his name was Mark and he was very professional. He did a great job. He built the gate that had been rebuilt about 2-3 times and he built a brand new one and it has just worked. I was real pleased as the windows work and roof was coming out and he fixed that. The doors weren’t closing properly, the gap between the roof and the body of building itself was separating so he pulled that back together and fixed together. If you have him come out when you have to do multiple things then the price is reasonable. I would use him again for larger projects.

First thing Jimmy said when he came into the rooms was that and quot;you don't really need to spend money on thisand quot; the less is more thing is going on. He then stated that the crown in the dining room was done wrong, Jimmy told me that he usually works on 500-600,000 dollar homes and this would not be worth it to do the crown, The ceilings were to low and that it would be overkill and a waste of my money but he would do it if I really wanted to. Well guess what I really wanted to and you are not doing it. Come in to my home insult me and my house and then say you don't really need the work fine. Next time just say you don't do small jobs,

They came on time and did a good job. The price was reasonable.

.Jimmie from Handyman Extraordinaire was very prompt, and seemed to know what to do right away. Gave an estimate that was reasonable and able to finish the job the same week. Was done the same day as promised and the work was outstanding. Even provided some tips on how to prevent similar damage. Cannot tell that there was ever a problem in those areas when he was done.

Mike would not return my calls and they started 2 weeks late. I wasn't in a big hurry but I wanted to have the work complete before cold weather hit us. The workmanship was good on the wood replacement on the house. Mike said his painter told him it was too much trouble to clean the windows where they could be opened. I had to ask several times for them to repaint areas missed and they always said they would take care of it and they never did. I told Mike it was not acceptable on the way they sliding door on the storage building was left after wood replacement because you had to go to the opposite end and pull out to slide the door open. He said I could figure something out and he didn't charge me but half of what he should have and then he would make it right. He got mad and tore the wood strip off that was in the way and when I asked him about covering the and quot;Zand quot; channel, he said he would chalk over it and after it was painted it would look fine. The next day I told Mike before he painted the storage shed, I would correctly fix the problem and repaint the area. Mike must have felt guilty because he left to pick up another 5 gallons on paint at $200 ( I was told that 3 gallons would be all that was needed and the storage unit took 8 gallons). Mike brought back a strip of wood to replace the one he tore off and I told him how to cut it and I adjusted the bottom roller to accommodate the extra thickness, after which the door worked fine. The last thing that was done was the replacement of a cracked front glass. Mike got the glass out and called for a replacement piece. He left at 12:30 P.M. and said he would be back in 1 to 1 1/2 hours. After 3 hours and it was starting to rain, I called his office and asked for him to call me. I tacked up some plastic to keep the rain out. I called his cell phone at 4:00pm and he said he was on his way. When he got here, the replacement piece was too short and he said he would call for another piece. He said it was too late for them to cut another piece and he would be back tomorrow. I asked about the and quot;holeand quot; he laft in my house and he said I would think of something and left. I made arrangements for a glassman to come out the next day and he told me that a professional never ever leaves a customer with a hole in his house even it he has to put in temporary glass until the next day. Oh, did I forget to mention I am 70 years old with limited use of my left arm due to spinal nerve damage and it was very difficult for me to hang plastic and cut and install wood over the opening in the rain? Only use this provider if you don't care about the workmanship or when it gets completed.

All of the work performed on our home was high quality. The contractor was very skilled and meticulous, including the prep and repair work done on the exterior of our home. Things took a bit longer than anticipated, but that seems typical of all contractors, and did not really take away from our overall satisfaction. Additionally, the Contractor was very friendly and helpful.
