I was in a hurry before freezing weather came in, and they came out immediately and scheduled the work to be done before the temperatures dropped.

Mark McNeely came out on-time, gave a good estimate for repairs. Work completed in a timely manner, he had to enter house when I was at work; I gave him a key. Totally trustworthy, great clean-up

A+++++ I contacted Handyman Extraordinaire they scheduled a handy man to meet me and evaluate the job. Steve Gates arrived at my house on time and I explained to him what I wanted done. He called me after a couple hours after he left and he needed to research the costs of materials and gave me a price and estimated time to accomplish the job. We scheduled the day for him to perform the work. He arrived and was very efficient worked until he completed the job! The quality of work was excellent, he was very polite and cleaned up after he was done. The cost of the job was exactly what he quoted! I will request Steve again for my next project. Thank you again for the great work!

The people in the office were very responsive when I sent them a message to schedule an appointment for estimates. The lady I spoke with did let me know that they were very busy so it would be a while before someone could come take a look at the property. (The office's responsiveness is the only reason I rated this company a C). We set a day for the appointment (2 weeks out from the date of the call), and they were supposed to call my brother to meet them there or myself to get the lockbox code to gain access to the property. Neither my brother nor I ever received a call, and I never heard from this company again. I didn't bother to follow up with them about it since I wouldn't have hired them after that anyway. I live out of state, so I have to be able to rely on the contractors that I hire to do what they have agreed to do.

The and quot;handymanand quot; was a no show and Handyman Extraordinaire failed to respond to my queries about his wherabouts.

Arrived within time period stated to give estimate. Explained while showing problem areas. Explained how door was to be repaired. Signed proposal. Called a few days later for a time to make repairs and arrived on agreed time. An unforeseen problem arose and I agreed that this was indeed a surprise problem. Went to get other supplies and then fixed. Extra cost was added to original and it seemed fair. It has only rained a couple of times since the repairs were made and no rain came under the door. Mr. M. courteous and cleaned up work area.

Came to our home (was on time) and looked into installing a handrail/banister on our staircase. We did not end up using him, as it took about 3 weeks in order to get a quote and after that just couldn't get schedules to line up be there enough at the time to get it done. *The man we spoke with was very nice, and genuine and had some extenuating circumstances which caused the delay. Depending on his situation we would consider using him again.

I called the main number and they assigned a and quot;craftsmanand quot; to call me back. He did this promptly and actually arrived early to give me an estimate. I dug up two concrete fence post pilings and replaced them - all within about two hours. This is something that I have done myself in the past and which took me all day long.

They were very quick to respond to my call and said they would send someone out the next day to provide a quote. I then received a call asking if the window was on the 1st or 2nd floor of the house. It was on the 2nd floor so she needed to call a different and quot;handymanand quot; and we set up an appointment with them. They showed up as scheduled but did not have a ladder to reach to the 2nd floor (not an unually high 2nd floor mind you, just a typical 2nd floor window above the garage). They were unable to provide a quote and informed us that not a single handyman with this company had a ladder to reach a 2nd floor window. I was left completely stumped. What kind of handyman company doesn't have ladders to reach a normal 2nd floor window? Do they only paint the exterior of homes up as far as they can reach?

Jimmie was very efficient, professional and pleasant.

Frank and his wife were very professional and provided insight to the repairs needed. Their estimate was quite a bit more than I had expected, so I am now rethinking the project.

Pete and his crew were amazing! Very punctual and very attentive to details. He was very honest when giving an estimate and told me that something that I thought needed to get done was not necessary - that saved me money! They did a great job making sure everything was cleaned up before they left. I will definitely be calling them back when I need more work done.

Contacted HMX and they sent out Mark McNeeley. Mark was very professional and provided the quote within 2 days. His quote was very reasonable and we engaged him to do the work. His work was very good and he made some suggestions as he went along of things that we might want to do differently. I was very pleased with his work and would not hesitate to use him again.

Pete was always on time and ready to work. He was very professional and did quality work. When he encountered a problem, he kept trying options until he could find a solution. He worked efficiently and effectively plus he was such a pleasant person to be around. We really enjoyed working with Pete and will definitely use his skills on future remodeling.

There is nothing that I didn't like. It went fine. There were a few up and down, but it was fine.

I also expressed a desire to assist him at no cost in his work so that I might learn the trade. He didn't seem interested. His bid was the highest of three bids. I declined pursuing using this company.

The operator was nice, the guy showed up when he said he would. Maybe I expected too much out of a handyman service... It was offensive to be told it'd be pricey, and not get called back, like maybe I looked like I wouldn't or couldn't pay. I seem to remember reading another customer's review of doing their crown molding and the worker commenting it shouldn't be done. This is very unprofessional; if you are going to be providing a service, just do what the customer wants, and do it right.

I have worked with Jimmy before, but this recent experience was very frustrating. He did work for us about a year ago on a door and did a nice job. While he was there, we asked for an estimate on building out a closet in the master bedroom. He gave us the estimate and we filed it away so we could revisit it when we had the money. Recently, we asked him to come back to discuss installing a door in another closet. Jimmy gave us an estimate and also sent us the estimate that he previously made for the master closet. So in recap, we had two (2) estimates: 1. Installing a door and enclosing a closet, and (new estimate) 2. Building a new closet for the master bedroom. (old estimtae) The total estimate for both was approximately $2,800.00. It took Jimmy almost a week to get us the estimate on #1. Once he did, I sent him an email asking if he would consider taking less if we did both projects at the same time. I wanted to see if Jimmy would CONSIDER going lower. His response was shocking. Instead of knocking a little off the price, or saying no, he responded by completely removing their bid leaving us high and dry. We are trying to get this project done before our new baby arrives and now we have to start from scratch. Jimmy wasted our time in getting us the estimate and now has wasted even more time; now we have to find someone else to do the job. Communication is the key and there was a lack of it on this case on their end. I don't think completely withdrawing a bid is how to respond to a reasonable offer of someone for the builder to CONSIDER taking less.

Absolutely perfect experience. Brad was efficient, prompt, and very reasonably priced. This was for the company I work for, but I will use them for my own home projects.

Several strips of siding fell off the side of the house as a result of a storm. This particular area has come off several times before. This is the first time it was replaced by this company. The company was responsive to my call. They were going to set up an appointment for an estimate, but I requested that as this has happened before and I knew it was not a hugh job that the company send a person competent to replace the siding and it be repaired at that time. The company set up a time for the repair in a timely manner. The repair person was knowledgable, understood this was a chronic problem, and took steps to minimize it happening again. The company has a one year warranty which I like although it has been more than a year since the last time the siding came off. I would use this repair person and this company again.

Box window approximately 10' x 10'. Removed awning, demo damaged wood around window. Replaced it with Hardie Board material and trim. Sealed source of leak on roof and painted restored surfaces. Replace awning and gutter downspout. Jimmie Radcliff is the man who did the work and he is fantastic. Came and gave me a very good estimate, did the work in one day and a half, was very professional, friendly and knows his stuff. It was a very positive expirence and I will definitely contact them again for any job that requires more than I can do. On a scale of 1 -5, I give Jimmie and Handyman Extraordinaire a big 10.
