Description of Work: Dan inspected our roof and contacted me to discuss various options. I asked him to provide an estimate on the various options. He said he would but it would take him several days due to his current workload. Several days past and no estimate was ever given. I had already received 2 other estimates from other contractors and had to make a decision so I contacted him to let him know since I never received his estimate I had to go with another contractor.

 + -1 moreDan was phenomenal. He returned my call quickly, and arranged to drive by and give me a quote the following morning, even though I would not be home at the time. He called on my cell and gave me a quote, which was a great price. When asked about time frame, he said he was willing to come after five that same day when he was finished for the day at another site. Dan came out himself and it took him less than 45 minutes, and he made sure it was sealed well and done right. He also explained about my roof (we had bought the house with a reasonably new roof so had no idea how long it might last or the workmanship, etc.), that whoever did it did a good job, it was a 50-year roof, and why this particular thing had happened (putting our minds at ease about the quality). Just as a comparison, I called many roofing companies and left messages over the weekend, and I am still getting initial call-backs from some of them. Some told me it would be over a week until I could get a quote or that they didn't waste their time with small jobs like mine. The fact that there are honest, hard-working roofers like Dan, who are willing to come out after their normal working hours, is reassuring in this modern world of "charge more/work less/cut corners" contracting. Thank you, Dan, I'll be telling my friends about you and Angie's list.

 + -1 moreThe estimate was done quickly. Because of the problems getting shingles it took about a month before they came out to replace the roof, but we were in no hurry. They did it in one day with about 10 workers. They were courteous, and cleaned up the yard afterwords. Dan came out when there was a question about the color and brand, and we came to a compromise. Our roof looks great, he also installed vents in our eaves around our house to aide in air circulation to our attic. They replaced turbines and put in vents and painted them to match our shingles. Dan told us if we had any problems to call, even if it was 10 years from now.
