A-1 Real Wood Floors

We had a hose burst underneath our kitchen sink which resulted in our wood floors in our kitchen buckling. It was a real mess, affecting several 100 square feet of wood. I called A-1 and the owner was over to my house within 2 hours to look and give me an estimate. He emailed me the quote soon after. Im very impressed with A-1 and their entire crew. This was a big job, and they did tremendous work. They are patient, professional and very good at what they do. When we had any questions, Al would take time to answer us and make sure we knew what to expect. They are very detail oriented and made sure everything was perfect. Since we had to file a claim with our insurance company to get the work done, I spoke with the claims desk and showed them Al's estimate. He told me the estimate was very reasonable, especially with the amount of work that needed to be done. Our floors look beautiful. I couldn't be happier. We will use A-1 for any future wood floor needs. I highly recommend them.

Al and his team were very professional from our first encounter. The crew quickly measured our space and discussed what we wanted done. Al promptly provided his estimate and was easily reached when questions arose. The pricing was fair for the scope of the project and Al clearly included all expected costs in his estimate. On the day of the project Al and his team were on time and promptly began cordoning off the work areas to minimize dust, which was especially important to us. He also set up a special vacuum dust collector to further minimize dust. The team made good progress and worked hard to stay on schedule. When issues came up, they did everything in their power to maintain their promised timeline. In the end the project came in on time and on budget. Any follow up work we requested was done promptly and professionally. I would not hesitate to recommend A1-Floors again; I know we will use them for all future projects.

Al and his team were fabulous!! I have worked with any sub contractors, A 1 flooring will be the only wood floor refinishers I use on projects and recommend to clients. They showed up and when they said they would!!! Got to work and continued until I was satisfied. CLEANED up each day as if they were completely finished. The stain look I wanted was different then the normal but they researched it and did a wonderful job. I feel the highest of praise goes to the whole team.

Mr. Pacheco and his staff did an excellent job refinishing my wood floors. Mr. Pacheco was very responsive to my requests and completed the job as stated with no delays or additions. They had to replace some boards near a wall due to some water damage and you cannot tell where the patch begins or ends. Beautiful work!

They added hardwoods to the master bedroom and the office and blended the new hardwood with the existing flooring so well they all look original. Did great job and worked with us to pick the color and finish we wanted. Most importantly they listened to what we wanted and were honest about the job. The showed up on time, worked late and on weekends to complete the floor. At the end they took the time to teach us how to take care of the floors. Overall, great experience.

They did a great job. They did what they said they were going to do. It took the exact amount of days they said it would take. Floors look great we just can't put rugs back down for 6 weeks, which we're glad they told us that too.

I called to request a quote, and Al was available the next day. He came by in the evening so that I didn't have to take any time off work. From the very first interaction, Al and everyone at A-1 Real Wood Floors were friendly and professional. They arrived as scheduled to begin work, brought in their equipment, and got started. They use a dust collection system for a small additional fee, which I highly recommend. They sanded the floor down and I was in the house the entire time - no dust swirling around, and no dust left behind. They bring several samples of stain, and stain areas of the floor with different colors so you have an accurate view of what it will look like on your wood, in your room, with your lighting. Since the process of looking at small samples in a store and trying to imagine what it would look like in my home was a little overwhelming, this was incredibly helpful and put my mind at ease that I was making the right choice. They work quickly and they take pride in what they do. They asked me several times throughout how it was looking, if I excpected or wanted anything different, and whether I was satisfied with their service. They worked around my schedule, even when that meant coming by on a Sunday to finish up. The price was fair and we are very happy with the result - the room looks fantastic! I would absolutely recommend Al and his team. We plan to refinish a room or two at a time as our budget allows, and we will definitely be using A-1 Real Wood Floors each time.

Al and his team restained my hard woods a month ago. He did an outstanding job and I'm very happy with the final product. Also, while restaining our floors, Al removed old, warped planks and matched it to the existing floors. Now our floors look like brand new! I would recommend A1 Real wood floors to anyone looking to add hardwoods in their home or restain existing hardwoods.

AL Pacheco from A-1 Wood Floors was courteous and punctual from the start. His team did an excellent job sanding and refinishing my wood floors. His system for elimination of dust while sanding left me with barely any dust on my surfaces. Running my hand over the counters produced hardly any residue at all. The finish on the floors looks perfect - they were very careful to hand - sand around the baseboards and finished right up against them without causing any nicks. I highly recommend A-1 and will definitely use them again in the future.

It went great. They worked until they got it perfect and cleaned up perfectly every night before they left. They were very trustworthy. I had a question afterwards and he came back! I am very pleased with them and have referred them to five different people.

Al was very responsive when I initially contacted him. I was looking for a super low cost option and asked if he could beat the price I saw on a sign somewhere. He said his work used high-quality materials so he couldn't beat the dirt cheep price I was looking for but he gave me the name and number of the person who could do it! I appreciated the honesty. When I tried multiple times to reach this low-cost provider without luck, I decided to go back and see what Al could offer. I found his pricing to be fair and work to be impressive. He takes pride in what he does and being a business owner.

Al and his crew did a great job refinishing and distressing our hardwood floors. We love the work they did. They showed up when they said they would and were very professional. We opted for to use their dust collector system and it was worth the extra cost. The dust from the sanding was minimal.

I had previously hired a bigger company to install oak flooring in my living room to match some I had in the entry way dining room, kitchen and breakfast room. They assured me they could do the job, that they did it all the time. They installed the floor and did not do a good job. The sanding was bad and the staining was even worse. I had to have it resanded. I did not want them to do anything more. I asked around and was told that A-1 Real wood Floors was who I needed to do the job. I called them and Al came out and looked at my floors and told me what needed to be done. I hired them to fix my floors. Al fixed the places in my floor and he and his sons and nephew sanded, my floor using the dust collector. It leaves hardly any dust behind. It was so different from the other co. Then they stained my floor and did a wonderful job. I love my floors so much. They are so beautiful. I did not think it could be done. I hope this review will keep someone else from making the same mistake I did . Just call A-1 Real wood Floors first and you will be glad you did. I can't say enough good things about them.

We hired A-1 to install wood floors in our living room, hallway, office, and large master bedroom. Since we already had existing wood floors in our entryway and dining room, we decided to have them redone to match and to have new planks laced in for a seamless final product. Al and his staff (sons) were really great. I totally trusted them in my home and trusted their workmanship. They did a fantastic and professional job. My floors and home now look amazing, and they took special care to clean up each day. I have and will continue to recommend A-1 Real Wood Floors.

Al is able to answer any question about wood flooring you can throw at him. His prices are competitive and he uses quality products. His estimate came quickly and he was able to finish our floors on time.

Al is very punctual, honest and fair. He's one of those contractors who truly cares about the quality of his work. Our floors turned out beautiful. We had an area of wood pulled up and replaced with new and you can't even tell any work was done, which is exactly what we all want when faced with that type of repair. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Al again. Not only does he have valued pricing, he does fantastic work. Another thing - not many contractors are good communicators. Al isn't most contractors. In fact, he may be the best contractor I've used in terms of communication. He gave me his personal cell phone and quickly replied to any texts/questions I had. He also worked around my schedule, which is nice when you have to give up your house for lengthy periods of time.

Al and his sons completely refinished my hardwood floors, he is polite, honest, and cares about taking care of his clients. His sons are a reflection of their father, courteous and hard working.
