Al and his son did awesome work. They had some intricate work to do along my fireplace and it looked great! My only complaint is that it took a little longer than expected. Part of it was not Al's fault as the wood supplier supplied the wrong wood floor but Al caught it and made it right. I was a little less than thrilled with Al's sons punctuality. I bit my tongue because I know things happen but punctuality is very important to me. In the end the finished product was beautiful and far outweighed the other part but I wanted to give my honest opinion. I would definitely hire Al again.

So great! They were here shortly after the first call. We had our estimate within 24 hrs. The work started soon after and we were very impressed with the promptness and professionalism of the crew. They worked very hard and were very polite. We were included in making decisions about repairs and in choosing the stain colors. There was an area that had to be replaced and they worked on it until I was satisfied with how it blended with the original wood. We couldn't be happier with the results. They took 111 year old floors and made them look spectacular! Thank you Al and your crew!!!

Our house is 100 years old and floors were in rough shape, coated heavily with old wax. We took forever to pick a stain color, changing our mind at least 3 times. Javier and his crew were really patient. They guys were punctual, professional, and trustworthy. I left them keys to the house so they could get in when they needed to. It took about 5 days for the entire job and we are very pleased with the result. Their price was fair and their work superior. Always available to talk or answer questions. I would definitely recommend them --I had a friend who recommended them to me.

It was a non-starter because of the receptionist's stone-walling.

Our dishwasher was found to be leaking water for some time and resulted in about 30 square feet of warped floor boards. Called A-1 to arrange repairs and they were out to assess the situation within 2-3 days and provide a total cost. In less than a week, they were ripping out the old flooring and putting down new wood. A few days later they were back to stain the wood and apply the final finish coats of sealer. The existing floor was only 3 years old and we were very worried the new section would not match the original floor. A-1 took the time and care to not only find the original stain, but also feather the new floor into the existing one so the repair was not obvious. The results were FANTASTIC! Today, you can't tell the repaired floor from the original because it matches flawlessly. The work was exceptionally well done by a very friendly and respectful crew, showed up when they promised, and the final cost was very acceptable. We will definitely use A-1 Real Wood Floors again!

Responsible, trustworthy and informative from start to finish. Easy to communicate with through email and cell. Went out of his way to complete the work to fit our schedule.

Contacted Al, Oct. 29th. He came the next day to measure and provide estimate. His crew started the following Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. Crew of 3 completely sanded smooth and removed lighter, yellowish finish original to the house vintage early 90's. Applied coat of darker finish to entire area and 2 coats of clear satin top coat. Additionally removed toilet in guest bath and installed completely new wood subfloor and oak flooring, sanded and stained entire area. His crew also created a special step detail for the step leading down into sunken family room. His crew worked on our project Tues - Sat. Came back the following Monday and Tuesday for buffing and final coating and details. Job was completely finished in 1 week. We are very pleased with the finished product. Crew was very polite and professional. Price was fair considering the scope of the project and the quality of the work. Work area was kept very neat and relatively dust free. We would use A-1 again and can recommend this company without reservation.

I had a badly water-damaged hardwood floor that had to be replaced. I contracted with A-1 Real Wood Floors to install new flooring. The work was meticulously done, and the jobsite was kept neat and clean. The floor was completed on time and I am very pleased with the work that was done. Whenever I need to have more work performed on my other wood flooring, I won't hesitate to call Al Pacheco of A-1 Real Wood Floors to do the job.

It went very well. It took a bit longer than planned due to the unexpected need to replace flooring in my dining room, plus we had a little trouble coordinating schedules mostly due to my own work schedule but Al was very accommodating and always showed up when he said he would. The entire crew was so courteous and Al explained everything in detail that he would do. The dust from sanding was minimal (I paid extra for the dust vacuum) and they took care to keep the work confined to the two rooms. The cost, of course, was more than his original estimate because of the unexpected damage and need for replacement of the floor in one room which he couldn't see initially because the floor was covered. The result is beautiful and beyond my expectations. I've had numerous compliments about the transformation of the floors and am always asked who did the work. I tell people immediately that I highly recommend A-1 Wood Floors without reservation.

Al was very responsive to our request for a quote during our home inspection. He showed up when he said he would and was very friendly. Our best laid plans of having our floors done before we moved in went awry when our Heat/AC unit wasn't working. Al was very understanding and went above and beyond to try and help us out. He was understanding when work was delayed and was accommodating to work us back into his busy schedule. The floors look great and so does the transitional trim piece installed to clean up the edge between the tile and the wood floors. If we ever need work done again, we know who to ask! We would undoubtedly recommend A1 Real Wood Floors!

This is a family operated business and we contacted them to help bring back the hardwoods that had been covered by carpets for 60 years. They know hardwoods; came out for a professional appraisal, cost estimate and explained in detail what they would do. They came as promised, changed the floors to a thing of beauty and did not overcharge. The stain was perfect and clean-up was fantastic. Al also brought us some matching stain to stain a new transition pice and additional trim when we later remodeled. We highly recommend A1 for any hard wood flooring needs.
