TruGreen Lawn Care - 5455

I had used Western Lawn for several years and overall I was reasonably happy with them. Western Lawn sold their accounts to Trugreen, so I have had them for the last 2 years. My lawn overall does not look as good. I have more weed occurrences. When you call to have them retreat, it can sometimes be all the way up to whenever your next appointment is supposed to be for them to come back out. They use fertilizer very sparingly. I have had to basically fertilize myself to get my lawn to the lush, green state that I prefer.

They do quite a good job, but they try to hound me over the phone with more services, which I don’t really appreciate. The actual job is good and they do well with my dogs and they give me a call ahead of time, so I can get them in or they will work around them as best they can.

Have done a great job, lawn looks better than it has done in years, but at a premium price. You get what you pay for.

I had used TruGreen for a few years. They ended up costiing me a bunch of $$ and a few vacation days. I have both fescue (in shaded areas under trees) and bermuda in my yard. Botton line, TrueGreen killed off most of my fescue. They did replace 500 square feet (about half). but they showed up weeks late, unnannounced when we were on vacation so I lost 1/2 of what they tried to correct. But since my yard is on a slope, most of my top soil washed away with our wet summer I ended up re-sodding and re-seeding myself after bringing in loads of top soil. I was also having to purchase my own weed killer to spray weeds. When you call the TrueGreen 800 # you get great lip service. But they seem to have little impact on what actually happens from a service perspective. Run, do not walk, from TruGreen in OKC. They may be better in other cities.

i called them about lawn service. itold the salesperson what i wanted and got a quote. they tried to upsell me at that time and i declined. on the 3rd visit extra work was done for the up sell and i got a 190.00 bill i call and they would not credit me for the upsell products which i had declined. so i paid the bill in full told them not to come back

I have paid annually for approximately 4 + years. My lawn has progressively gotten worse over that time, with no response from them earlier this year regard a LARGE amount of weeds. When they came out to spray for weeds, they killed some of the plants. Our service stops at the end of the calendar year. We will NOT be renewing with them.

We used Trugreen for two years and almost lost our lawn. It seemed they sprayed water on our yard. Went to another company and lawn came back. We kept giving them a chance, but, they never changed. Asked to have someone in charge come out so they could see what was happening to our lawn, but they only sent out the sprayer guy and he didn't know anything about lawns or lawncare. He said, "I just spray the yards." He didn't know anything about what he used or should be used. Just a warning, but, we would never use them again or recommend them. After we cancelled them, they kept calling and bugging us. A year later and they still call. Watch out.

It was horrible! I have never had so many weeds. I'm pretty sure they use "extra" emergent instead of pre-emergent on my lawn. Poa anna is taking over my yard. I paid for aeration. They only did half my yard and broke a brick on the side of my house getting the aerator to the back yard. It took calling them about five times to get a manager to discuss this with me. I still have broken brick and they never came back to finish the aeration. I paid for them to overseed fescue and they got more in the planters instead of the lawn. I paid for tree and shrub care with very un-impressive results.

We have been very satisfied with their services. We have a yearly contract with them, so they come about six times a year. They let us know when they are here, and we like that because we have a dog. Our grass now is so much better. They are professional, and they have always been courteous with us.

I have been using them for years. They usually call before they come or the knock at the door and inform me that they are going to spray in the yard. The price depends on the size of one’s yard and I pay them for spraying both front, and back. I like how they do my lawn and I don’t see any weeds coming up after they spray. If I call, they would come out and redo it. The price is fair. They used to be $45 but they went up because of the gas prices going up.

Their service is high-end. They ended up being higher than anybody else. Their service is good. They show up on time. They are very nice when you call them. But they are just expensive. That is the only negative I can find about them. If they say they are going to be here the next day, they are going to be here. They are punctual.

Very responsive and accommodating. I have a rather small yard so it is hard for me to justify spending $35 to mow it, so I prefer to find the time to do it myself.

I don't know what they have been using to treat the lawn, but their were a lot of different kinds of weed all over the place. We have decided not to use them based on what we saw the result of their previous years of work.

We like their services. They always give us reminder phone calls to let us know when they are coming so that we can put our dog in. The service guys are really good. They will be coming on Monday.

They have lack of options. They are okay. They don’t kill all the weeds and that is very frustrating for me. They told me that they might kill the grass if they tried to kill this particular weed. I think they are expensive, but I don’t have anything to compare them to.

They are convenient. They fertilize with the appropriate amount, not too much and not too little. It keeps my yard green. I am happy with the things that they do. I could buy the fertilizer and do it myself because the price was a little high. They showed up when they said they would and they did the service suggested for that month. I have a very little interaction with them, but they do what they say they are going to do.

Grass is looking healthier. We've been happy with their service.

Company never showed up. My room mate refuses to tell me exactly what she paid them.

They've been very good about not coming without calling first which we've asked that they do. I also like that by mid-season, there are usually no leaves left in the yard.

They were extremely slow in coming out and spraying initially. I wanted to make sure the yard was mowed before they came out and sprayed, but because of that, I had to wait approx 3 weeks for them to come out and spray. They do a decent job once they spray, but getting them out to spray can be a hassle. Other than that, they did a decent job.

They have only sprayed once. The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I will continue to use this provider.

My neighbor said he could do a better job. My neighbor did his own yard and it looked 10 times better than mine. I had to call them to discontinue their use. They said they will send somebody by to evaluate the yard. They did come out and did some things. I was never overall satisfied with what they did.

I like that they're timely and they come when they say they're going to be there.

I had used their services from 2002 through October of 2008. I fired them in 2008 becuase each year I used them the lawn got worse and worse. I was assured year after year that I complained that they would fix my lawn and they never did. They told me they would try to fix it every year because I was asking why my lawn was dying, and in 2006 they implyed that I needed to airate it. It did not get better and the next year it was even worse. When I asked them again they said I needed to dethatch the lawn. Then I found someone else to do it because they did not perform that service either. In May of 2008 they sent someone to look at the lawn and they said they would fix my lawn. Then nothing happened, it looked worse and worse. I called their office to send someone else out because my lawn was not fixed, and they came out and said "we definitely dropped the ball on this one!" And then I fired them on the spot!

It has been two weeks and Scotts has not started the job. I have been on the phone every day trying to inquire about the problem, but I can not get anyone on the phone because all of the customer service representatives are busy. I can not even leave a message as the recording suggested because the message box is full. Only one time was I able to get a representative on the phone to tell him the problem. He said he would look into the problem and could I please hold. Sadly our phone call was disconnected. He did not call me back and I tried but all lines were busy. I went to the BBB site and inquired about Scotts Lawn Service. The company has a lot of complaints that read just like mine almost word for word; No Show, No Phone Calls, No Return Phone Calls, No Way for customer to leave a message, Taking money and Not doing the Job. All ofhe complaints from other people sounded just like what I am experiencing. I give Scotts Lawn Company an F on all categories, and will never use them again. It has been a time consuming disaster.would
