Stanley Steemer - Oklahoma City

It was a nightmare and I had to get two different crews out here. Stanley Steemer is a thumbs down. They were charging me over $300; but by the time I complained enough and had another crew out here, it cost me $150. I would say don't use them. The guy who came didn't even take the covers off and clean the vents that were hard to get to which were right underneath the cabinets and on the side. I asked him to re-clean them; that's how I knew. I knew he hadn't cleaned one of them and he told me he had cleaned. We made them re-clean it. It was like a dust storm in my bedroom. I don't know what he did and I had seen it coming; after that I was watching them. It was horrible. Then we got the second crew out here; I have to say that they bent over backwards, but I still would not use them. I was guaranteed a crew that knew what they were doing. This guy came an hour late because he had to take driving lessons to prove that he could drive the big truck or the box as they called it. This was rescheduled and it took two schedules. With what I had to go through before I ever got to the second crew; I have to say that I wouldn't use them. If they had wanted to give it to me for free, it wouldn't have been good enough. I had to clean my whole house; they cleaned it all out of my ducts right into my house. I can laugh about it now, but I was upset. I was just glad to get rid of them. The day that I was scheduled the first time; they didn't even show up. I winded up contacting them in the afternoon and asking them what was going on. They were supposed to be there 8 o'clock in the morning. They told me that the house that they went to before me winded up having 42 vents. They should have known this before they scheduled mine. I should have known from the very beginning not to go through with it. This got elevated all the way up to their divisional. I would never use them again.

I came to Angies list first to check out company ratings. Stanley Steemer was the second rated company to another. That first rated company doesnt have services here in my area. The two guys that came to do the carpet were very nice, even offering to move furniture if we wanted. They did the job quickly and efficiently, not wasting time at all. Even gave us some spot cleaner for free. Ok, heres where we werent happy. They did the carpet and we allowed it to dry before we went onto it at all. After it dried, it looked worse than ever! While it was wet, it looked great! We wrote a review that day and said it was great then right after it dried...whoo. The stains are worse, the smell was bad(water meets nasty carpet smell) and we paid for the deoderizer which didnt work at all for the smell. Over all, the service was awesome, the end result, terrible. We wont use them again, ever. Wed rather use that money to do it ourselves, we end up with a much better result. Its a shame too. It was the first time ever using a service to do this and it was such a letdown.

I have an annual contract with them to come out 4 times a year. They are very personable and very caring. They take care of my furniture and they do a good job. Their prices are competitive. I have been very pleased with them and I would recommend them.

I saw their commercial for a $99.00 special they were running. They did a very good job cleaning the carpet. They were quick about it. They tried to sell me other products and services that I didn't want. I felt as though they didn't care about me as much as whether or not I was going to spend more money with them. I won't call them again.

They did a great job. They were efficient, the guys that came out were really conscientious, and it seemed like they were really interested in doing the right thing. They kept me informed about what they were doing and then they talked to me about it afterwards. They tried to drum up some business with my tile, but that is what they do for a living so I get that. They were really nice and I would use them again. They were running some sort of special and I was not unhappy with the price.

They did a good job. It's been a long time since I had carpet to clean, so I didn't know they wouldn't move furniture. They did move small pieces of furniture such as my chairs for me.

They gave me a window of time and they pretty much came in that window of time. They are good to provide follow up and they call before they come. They quoted a price before they came. Services like carpet protection cost a great deal extra, which is a little bit frustrating.

We were advised they were in. We arranged for them to be here between 9:00a and 1:00p. No call, except from one of their employees who thought they were going to be cleaning carpets. I called them at 1:30p. I was told someone would be there around 2:30p and that they were a truck short. A fellow arrived at about 2:45p, but he didn't have the filters and thought we had them. He indicated that this was a common experience, and that the excuse about being a truck short was just an excuse.

They are a well known organization. They do a good job. They do whatever they say they are going to do. Everything about them is good. Their pricing is about what I expect. I haven’t really compared it to other companies. They were punctual this time, but they aren’t always.

Their reputation and availability stood out. They showed up on time. They were very professional. They did a good job.

No gimmicks. No pushing of additional products. Thoughtful, professional employees. Explained details of cleaning. An excellent experience and a very clean rug!

They were fine and were prompt. They did a good job like I expected them to do. They did everything for a reasonable amount. I have taken up a plan with them so that they can come back about 2 or 3 times during the year. I am getting ready to have them come back before Christmas. I think that the price that I paid them was supposed to be for 3 cleanings.

I called them because they advertised $89 for your whole house. After talking to them they quoted over $200. The ad is deceptive.

Stanley Steemer was able to give me an appointment the very next day, and the workers arrived within the designated time window. They did a good job, so I have no complaints about the work itself. The only unpleasant part was the constant upselling push. When I made the appointment, the clerk automatically quoted all these extras that I had to specifically back out and decline. Some of these items were back on the bill when the guys showed up, so I to insist again that I did not want the scotchguard. They also tried a hard sell on upgraded tile sealant, doormats, duct cleaning, etc. It was a bit much. They seemed to stop every 15 minutes to try to sell me something.

The workers were very professional however they didn't vacuum out the water and the carpet was soaked for 2 days. Also, the front door to the house had to remain open while their truck was running which left exhaust fumes in the house. It's been about two months and we're seeing more spots that before they were here so it appears that the teflon treatment doesn't work.

My wife had used Stanley Steemer on one previous occasion for commercial work so we decided to try them out in our home. Two representatives from Stanley Steemer showed up in their van on time. Came into our home and steam cleaned carpet in 4 areas of our home. They were able to clean the superficial dirt accumulated with regular use but did not do a good job of removing isolated stains. Their work ethic was not up to par with what I'd expected and they seemed a bit "chatty" and unfocused. I had to stay on top of them to make sure all areas were cleaned and had to ask them to go over a few spots they had missed. What bothered me most was their persistent "selling" of add-on products which accompanied their work. I'd prefer my carpets were cleaned without being pushed products I don't want or need.

I didn't like it very well. I wasn't terribly pleased with the services. They didn't clean the sofa well. They called again a few months later and told me that I could have had them come back out if I would have called them back in ten days, but the worker had actually told me otherwise. I wasn't happy with this service.

I can call anytime and get my favorite worker (Carlos) to come do my living room and study carpet as well as the little bit of hall carpet that connects them. He is prompt, polite, professional, but very friendly and does his work quickly and well. He moves all my furniture where I want it and puts it back where I want it, with little blocks underneath to prevent any damage to the furniture. My carpet is over five years old and has two Golden Retrievers romping, eating, sleeping and shedding like maniacs all over it, but it looks as good as new each time Carlos and his partner are done. They rake it all over and remove all the shed hair I couldn't get to with my vacuum and rake, and it dries within a few hours for the boys to play on again.

They were very professional. They did a good job. They did the work in a timely manner. They showed up on time to do the work. They do try to sell you a lot of other things.

We've used them to clean our carpets for over 10 years. Recently, they suggested that we clean our upholstery. We agreed, not really thinking we needed the service, but it made such an amazing difference. Usually, when I grade things, I give B's to leave room for improvement, but I feel that they are at the top of their game.

Pricing was a bit expensive. Technicians were on-time and seemed competent. Unfortunately, some of the stains reappeared.

I was very satisfied with Stanley Steemer servicemen who came to my home. They did a fantastic job with my carpet cleaning. I would gladly recommend them to my family and friends.

I actually didn't have a single complaint at all. Stanley Steemer was here very quickly, didn't take too long, were very professional and friendly, did good work, and charged a fair price. I would recommend them to anyone.

Stanley Steemers employees were polite, helpful, and careful about wood floors and furniture. They came out right after I called them and arrived when they said they would.

Stanley Steemer did an average job. They didn't complete the job the first time. I would never hire them again.
