Rick Kelley Fence

Mr. Kelley is AAAA++++! I cannot thank him enough for taking such good care of my mom who is a senior. He did a beautiful job on the fence and made both gates easy to use and secure at the same time. He also removed 2 very large trees from the back yard. This was no small job and he completely cleaned up the yard. He is a regular MacGuyver, very smart. This man works very hard. He is funny but serious and very honest. If everyone in the world worked as hard as he does and cared for others as much, what a great place it would be. It may take him a while to get you on his schedule, but I assure you, the results will be worth the wait. He takes a great deal of pride in doing it right.

Used all cedar materials and heavy duty metal posts. Would definitely recommend. I thought Mr. Kelley was awesome and his workers were hard working and respectful.

He was on time and everything went very well. I felt his prices were very reasonable and he offered me a couple different choices. I would recommend him to others. We were very satisfied with his work.

Overall was a very good experience. Moved into a new home that needed some fencing work to keep our dogs from getting out. Replaced a small section of side wooden fencing that looks great. Added a wrought iron gate to the side of the house. The bigger issue was that both sides of the house had a brick wall about 4ft tall, which was too small for one of our dogs that can easily jump and clear at that height. Rick Kelley built wrought iron fencing that had to be custom cut and welded on the job site to get what we wanted. All the work was done in one day. The end product looks great and is exactly what we requested. And despite the extra bit of work to customize the fencing the final price was the same as the quoted estimate. Very happy with the final product and will be calling them back to work on the side fencing that will eventually need to be replaced due to age.

I had asked them to come only in the afternoon as my husbnd was sleeping on that side of the house. They worked quietly, and the tree removal took one afternoon, and they finished the fence installation the second afternoon.

Not good at all!! First they did not call me the morning they were to arrive. By 2:00 PM I had to run an errand. That evening I went outside and I saw plain wood on the back of one section. When I got close you could tell they had put boards along one section. When they nailed it down they ended up lowering the left side and now it's completely uneven. All around the bottom is suppose to be 6inch openings are all the way around all the fencing. I could have done that myself. Plus I wanted them to make it uniform for the entire fence. This is a water view home and was completely shocked by the quality. I was going to explain this to them but they went ahead with it and I'm sure it would have costs more to do what I needed them to do. They had good reviews but I will never get another deal and have to pay in advance!!

Project went great. Came out in a timely manner and replaced the fence. Mr. Kelley came out and did the post work and then had another crew finish up the work. We are pleased with the work and communication we received from the company...Work was A+++ and we will use Rick Kelley fencing in the future, Our project was small, but we were treated great. Thank you.

What appeared to be a good deal ended 9 days later with zero contact. I sent messages, left voicemails, sent emails through the company website as well. I will be looking for a different fence guy unfortunately.

Great experience and would recommend in the future. Matt was quick to come out to complete and estimate, to include options and pricing for every combination requested. There's no guess work in deciding what the job will cost you. I had to communicate through email about scheduling and Matt was great about responding and scheduling around me. They had to use a tracked piece of equipment to pull all the old posts and I was highly impressed that they could do it without leaving a tracks and ruts in the yard. Any marks left from the equipment were gone in just a few days. I have had contractors in the past do terrible damage to the yard and was relieved and thankful at their level of expertise with the equipment and concern for my property. I was not home for the completion of the project and arrived to find it not completed exactly how I intended. I contacted Matt with my concerns and he immediately put me at ease and rectified the problem. This is a professional company and I can recommend them without hesitation. You'll sleep well if you hire them for your next fence project!

After accepting their bid to fix our fence we waited about 3 weeks for the work to be completed. Our fence was repaired quickly and the workers were friendly and professional and cleaned up and hauled away the old wood. My only complaint would be they took their time returning phone calls. Other than that we were very satisfied and will use them in the future.

He inspected existing posts and determined that one didn't need replacing so he checked the other posts around the yard and used the extra to replace a bad one there. The yard slopes and he installed individual slats cut to match as the year slanted upward. Installed a gate which can be unlatched from front or back. He did a great job.

Called Rick Kelley Fence based on the reviews and Matt promptly arrived within a day or two of my call to provide an estimate. He provided a detailed description of the work to be completed and duration. Every question I had was answered appropriately and he left saying that he would have an estimate later that day. I received the estimate and agreed to terms and had them put me on the schedule. At first, they were going to have order my 8' cedar planks as they are not regularly kept in stock however being I only needed 45' they found some sooner than later and began work on my fence two days after providing me with an estimate. The fence was constructed perfectly without any gaps between pickets and level all the way around. Pleasant experience throughout.

He went the extra mile and came back and did some painting for me.

They did an excellent job, would use them again instantly. Picked them off Angie's List and got one other bid. Prices were close on the two bids. Rick was $25 higher but he included several things the other guy wasn't going to do (like repairing the old fence and included the removal of the old fence), so Rick was really lower priced (by a lot) overall. Rick isn't "smooth" or "shinny" but he presents himself professionally and communicates very well. Did an excellent job of evaluating my needs and offering options. I had a few quirks I wanted done differently than normal and he listened and then we discussed them and I got exactly what I wanted (but a bit better because he had some better ideas). Came on time, got it done very quickly. Worked with me on shuffling my dogs around the yard while the fence was down (which slowed him down a little). Nice guy and really knows his business. He considered the big picture, it was going to get cold and freeze soon and he made sure that my hose was drained and put up dry - coiled it very neatly. Very careful of my trees and most importantly he really mostly dealt with my wife and treated her respectfully - acknowledging that she knew what she wanted and could make decisions (lots of guys will talk down or ignore the female in the family). I understand why Rick is rated so high consistently.

They were responsive and punctual. I did not feel they lived up to the terms of the coupon. Instead of providing a fence inspection and minimum repair for the coupon, they just deducted the $100 coupon value from their repair estimate. All in, I still paid full price. The fence repairs have not held up.

We knew he was busy and could not get to the work until December but were hoping to get an estimate ASAP.

They did a good job They removed theold fence and installed the new one. He also repaired my gate for no charge

They were very quick to get me a quote. They built a nice looking fence as well, but it was built 5-6 inches off the ground because the crew thought my yard was fairly uneven. Turns out that it was not nearly as much as thought. The crew agreed the finished product was way too high off the ground. They agreed to come back and lower it soon since the day was ending, but 3 weeks later and I can't get them to call me back. My dog keeps getting out of my yard because the fence is so high all the way across my yard. One end of my fence is completely rigged in a ridiculous way to my neighbors fence. Overall I'm quite disappointed after being blown-off. I guess I should not have paid my bill a few weeks ago until I was satisfied. Supposedly I have a 1 year warranty, but I have very little confidence I could get them to comeback for work.
