I called them because my dishwasher would not rinse. The repair man came to my home and told me he needed someone at the shop to look at it. He actually took my dishwasher back to their store. They worked on it three times. Twice, it still wouldn't rinse. The last time it wouldn't run. The shop owner was surprised that the repairman brought it to the shop as this was not standard practice. I never did get an answer of why he took it out of my home. They blamed the problems on me and told me that I was not loading it properly. The last time the dishwasher was rewired incorrectly. I ended up having to replace it at my own expense. This was a terrible experience. I would never call this company again.

I contacted their office regarding possible repairs on both my washer and dryer. They quoted me $79.00 service call which would be applied to the bill if repairs were made. However, when the repair tech arrived I discovered it was $79.00 per machine. I decided to have him look at my washer only, which is a front load model. He was very up front about the cost of repairs and that because it was caused by a power surge he couldn't guarantee the known repair would be the only one needed. So rather than spend $300.00 on repairs only to find out that the pump was burnt out and have to spend a couple hundred more on repairs. I just replaced it based on his recommendations. (FYI: The used washer/dryer shop didn't even want the washer, it was too costly to replace a circuit board.)

I got Mr. Appliance from the manufacturer's customer support line. No problems with Mr. Appliance's service. The fridge is working fine now. I'm disappointed with the quality of the Sub-Zero. It looks great, American made, and has some nice features, BUT: I?ve had this for less than 10 years, and had to have it serviced 4 times. The 1st time it quit cooling, it was still under warranty. Good for me, because the service man had to change out the EVAPORATOR COIL. It had developed a leak. This was a major repair job, requiring special tools and training to soldier aluminum. He replaced the original copper coil with an aluminum one! I always thought copper was better. He didn't say exactly what the problem was, but apparently, there was some sort of chemical reaction between the copper and the refrigerant (thanks to government mandates?). As a professional engineer, I know this was a SERIOUS design problem! Meanwhile, I have an old Sears refrigerator with ice maker that has been working fine for 32 years, and has required NO SERVICE at all ! The Sub-Zero cost about 10 times as much! Just replacing the fan cost about half what I paid for the 1980 Sears model. Was this Sub-Zero refrigerator made in the same country that landed men on the moon in 1969 ????????
Description of Work: My Sub-Zero model 690 refrigerator/freezer was hot on the outside and not making much ice. Mr. Appliance showed up on time, seemed to recognize the problem right away, a bad cooling fan. Had the replacement part with him, explained the problem, and answered all questions. He also made an adjustment to the ice maker that greatly improved performance. Very professional with tablet PC for credit card & sent my receipt by email. $250.00 seems like a lot to replace a $10.00 fan, but I owned a repair business, and it's expensive to hire, train, & keep good people. He was obviously familiar with the Sub-Zero 690, since he had the fan with him, it's no doubt a common problem.

Service tech professional on site. Dishwasher installation - leaking under sink where dishwasher hose attaches to garbage disposal. Had licensed plumber look at this and he advised that hose has been installed incorrectly in addition to the leakage site. Unfortunately it took me about a month to notice this leak. Dishwasher installed on 7/5/11. Noticed leak on 8/12/11. Contacted company directly and they told me to contact the home warranty company again. I've done that and home warranty company automatically assigned a different person to repair. I think Mr. Appliance should have the opportunity to correct their mistake.

I called Mr. Appliance about 9:30 a.m. The woman in the office said she could get a team there by around noon. They called closer to 11. They performed the necessary troubleshooting to determine the problem. They had the part in the truck, exchanged it, tested the machine to ensure it was working properly, cleaned up and left. The two men were friendly and efficient.
Description of Work: I called this morning and was able to schedule the same day. How great is that? The two repairmen, Tyler and Terry, were prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and speedy. I have an LG washer. It's not easy to find repair service for these products. The LG site only listed one company. That company had no one in the office and was not going to call me back until after close of business. That was not satisfactory. Mr. Appliance had a person in the office and was able to repair the machine in a more than timely manner. Best of all, Mr. Appliance lists the brands it services. That helps out a lot. Angie's list needs to request this information from all service companies.

I took half of a day off of work so a technician could repair my washing machine. Prior to the technician coming, the washer was shaking violently on the spin cycle. After about 30 minutes the technician put it back together and said it is in very good condition and could not find anything wrong with it. He said the reason the washing machine was shaking is because it was sitting on carpet. I told him that this washing machine had been sitting in the exact same spot for 5 years and had never shaken before. He assured me that it was due to the carpet and carpet pad. The technician stated that it just needed to be on a hard surface. After the technician left I began to do a load of laundry. When it got to the spin cycle it just stopped. I called the technician on his cell phone and got no answer. I called up to your office and spoke with a manager and he advised me that the technician just forgot to do something and I could fix it myself. Not being technically proficient, I was adamant about the technician coming back to repair it himself. After all, I did pay $69 and now my washing machine did not work at all. He finally did come back out and got my machine to at least go through the spin cycle, still shaking violently. In the following weeks, I moved my washing machine into the kitchen on a hard, level surface. Much to my surprise, the washing machine continued to shake violently on the hard surface. A week later, I called another serviceman to come and look at the washing machine. In 10 minutes he found the problem, and in 20 more had it fixed. It has worked great ever since. I was very disappointed with Mr. Appliance. It took some doing, and they were none to happy about it, but I was able to get a refund from them.

We at Mr Appliance strive to give the best service possible and we stand behind our work and warranty all parts and labor/ Our tech's are very well trained. In this members case the machine performed properly while testing so the tech thought that it may be the carpet allowing the machine to shake and advised the customer as such, and collected the service fee as standard procedure. The member did not call us back to let us know that the machine was still shaking to give us a chance to correct the situation. If he had we would have given full credit for the service call fee and done the repair at a discounted cost to make up. Mr. Appliance

After finding Mr. Appliance through Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau we arranged an appointment to have our Whirlpool refrigerator/freezer repaired. We were contacted by Michael Ryan who arranged to come out the next day. He specified the hour during which he would arrive and was right on time. He went to work immediately diagnosing the problem and determined that two parts needed to be replaced. He called in the part numbers, found that one was in stock but the other was not. He was able to find the other part at a related dealer and arranged to have it sent. Before he left he gave us the time and date he would be back and provided the total cost of the repair. We paid a deposit amounting to the cost of a service call (to be applied to the total cost of repair). Michael was professional and personable, answering our questions but never deviating from his task. Michael returned exactly when he said he would, completed the repair quickly and efficiently, and with the same good humor as on his first visit. We are very satisfied with the service provided and will definitely call Mr. Appliance in the future. If all Mr. Appliance's personnel are as pleasant, professional, and technically competent at Michael Ryan, I fully expect that future dealings will be as satisfactory as this first experience.

They are courteous and prompt. They are upfront with their prices and there are no surprises. He showed me everything about the relay. This is the second time I am using them. The first time they fixed my washer about 6 months ago. He promised to be here between 9 and 11. He called me 15 minutes before 9 and told that he will be here on time.

The repairman arrived at the time given. He was polite and professional.
Description of Work: This company was found on Angies list and had a high rating. They were called in the morning and came out later the same day. They were called because the oven would not light. The oven was checked out and determined the lighter needed to be replaced. This was an item that was stocked on the truck.

I called this company at approximately 8:15am on 10/19/2009. I advised that I needed a repairman to come out and see if I could get my washing machine repaired. I asked what the charge would be for someone coming out just to look and was told $79.00. That was even if no repair was ultimately done. If a repair was done, the $79.00 would be applied towards bill. I had a leak happen the night before. When my wife started the washing machine, I heard water sounding like it was hitting the floor. The washing tub was overflowing and when I attempted to shut off the water at the knob, it wouldn't stop. The only way I was able to stop the water was to manually shut off the water at the wall. I cleaned up the mess and try to determine if it would be worth getting this 21 year washing machine fixed or not. I inclination was to buy a new one, but I thought this Maytag had lasted this long, so I would see how much it would cost to fix first. My appointment with the repairman was a 12pm. He called me at 11am and advised he had gotten done with an earlier appointment and asked me if anyone was at home. I told him I could only be there at noon as I was working. The repairman, Fernando was very friendly and knowledgeable. He tested the electrical connections, and in fairly short order determined that the water valve needed to be replaced. He had the part in his van and proceeded to replace the water valve. I asked about the Angie's List discount, but the repairman was not aware of a discount, but offered to take $10.00 off my bill. The total time the repairman was at my house was 1hr and 45 min. Overall, my experience with this company and the repair that was done was very good. I'm glad I didn't just go out and buy a new washing machine, and mine is again working just fine, thanks to Fernando Alfaro. Suggestion would be for this company to make all their employees aware of the Angie's List discount if there is one. Thanks...

The customer service rep was very nice that booked the appointment. I got an appointment within 24 hours which was great. My home is very hard to find but the repairman actually read the directions I gave the CS rep from the day before and made it with out a problem. He also called 20 minutes before hand to tell me he was on his way, and he showed up on time. He went right to work found the problem, fixed it, and was done quickly. He was polite and very polished. What I found most impresive about him is how proud he was about the company he works for. He let me know the work he had done had a 90 day warranty, that all service techs have 10+ years experience that work there, and told me some of the history of the company. You just don't find people like that much any more. I will defiantely use this company again.

It went very smoothly. The person who answered the phone scheduled me for the next day with a service call. The service person arrived promptly, actually was in the area, and called to see if he could come earlier and did. Then he ordered the part and came back the next week when it came into their shop, and installed it. Very pleasant experience.
Description of Work: The paddle from the water dispenser on the ice/water dispenser was broken. Jim came to see exactly what part was needed, and the next week, replaced the part.

The overall project went exactly like it should have. If his owner would stock a few LG parts on his van, it could have been done that first call.
Description of Work: Sam has worked for Mr Appliance for several years. Last year about this time I bought a brand new LG washing machine and dryer. The washing machine quit working right away (mother board went out). LG provided me a name/company to work with and they did not respond or handle the problem well at all. After a month of working with this other repairman. I found Mr. Appliance in the phone book and called them. Sam came in and knew exactly what was wrong, he did not have a part on the truck for the LGs but was able to order it and have it back running in a week. Well, the LG washing machine has gone out again, this time it is the drying pump. Sam (I'm happy to say) is still with the company, came out remembered me (even though we moved from Bethany to Yukon) and had to order the part. He was back a few days later and it is fixed. Sam is so helpful and friendly. I feel like I see him more than my own relatives. I won't buy an LG appliance or anything LG again, but I can tell you ... this company is very dependable and knowledgeable. I wont call anyone before I call them!

Travis called early and arrived at exactly the time scheduled. He checked the dryer and found a sensor had burned out. He gave me an estimate for the part, which he had on the truck. He also suggested that I might replace the vent system which may have caused the sensor to burn out. He told me he could do it for $35, or I could buy the parts for $20 and do it myself. I appreciated the suggestion, but had him go ahead and fix that too. Everything runs well, we had a pleasant chat as he worked and he was finished within the hour.
Description of Work: The dryer had a burned out sensor and the venting was old. Both the sensor and vent were replaced.
