Phone call response was polite and informative. Service man was on time, neatly dressed and polite. Service was quick. There was not a clear cut result on this service call as he could only do so much to improve the functioning of the dish washer. We have followed his advice and have a better result.

Nothing to tell. No one ever gave me the time of day.

After reading the positive reviews on Angie's List I called Mark's Appliance Service. I was told there were several jobs in front of me but he could probably get to my repair the same day. Less than an hour and a half later called back and said he would be in my area within the hour and would come after one other job. Harvey showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem within ten minutes (the safety thermostat had died and required replacing), quoted me $129.00 all included and said he thought he had the thermostat replacement part in his truck. Within 20 minutes the job was complete. Harvey was polite and professional. He accepted a credit card and I was only charged what I had been told. My dryer works again!

Harvey came out to service my dishwasher. The computer panel was not working. He told it would cost $229. The dishwasher is 9 years old so we told him we would probably just replace it. We went shopping and found that stainless steel dishwasher prices have gone up a lot in the last month. We decided to repair our old one instead. Harvey ordered the part and installed it within days. He applied the cost of the earlier service call to my total. A few days after it was fixed, it stopped working again. I called and he came out that day. It had blown some sort of fuse when the computer part overheated. He replaced the fuse with no charge. He was very quick, polite and knowledgeable.

After looking at Angie's List for a repairman I gave Mark a call. He thought he could be here between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., and maybe he could be there before noon if he finished up soon on his existing job. He arrived at noon and was finished in less than 15 minutes! I told him I found him on the List and about the negative comments that were posted, and he told me that there was another company with the same name in another town. There is only him and his son - he hasn't sold to any third party or doesn't subcontract. He was great and very thorough.

Everything was wonderful. They were here when they said they would be. The service man was very polite and courteous. He worked in a very timely manner. It was a very smooth transaction. We would definitely use their services again.

Fridge dropped to room temp while freezer was still functioning normal. Service man was available to come that afternoon, but I chose the next day due to work schedule. Showed up on time the next morning, quickly determined what needed replaced but needed to obtain part. Returned later that afternoon (per my request) to replace it although he could have fixed it earlier in the day.

I contacted Mark's for an estimate to repair the freezer section of my whirlpool refrigerator. The person who answered the phone did not answer as "Mark's", just hello. I had to ask if this was Mark's Appliance Service. I asked how much it would be for a service call and was told $45.00. It was Friday so an appointment was set for the following Monday between 9 and 11:00, depending on how long his first call took. At 11:30 I called to find out how much longer it would be. I was told he hadn't shown up or called, because he lost my address and number. Since I know those things can sometimes happen, I agreed to reschedule for 1:00pm the same day. He showed up just after 2:00, and apologized for the earlier problem, but no mention of being another hour late. After looking at the freezer, and sort of guessing what the problem was, he said he thought it would need a part for the ice dispenser which had to be ordered. He said it shouldn't take more than two days for him to get the part. I was given a cost of $145 parts and labor which would include the service call. He did not write the estimate down or give me anything further, just said he would call when it came in to schedule the repair. I never heard from him again. Since he had failed to make the first appointment, showed up 1 hour late for the reschedule, and then failed to order the part and get back with me. I decided to use another company. From the first call this company seemed slightly unprofessional, but I was willing to give it a chance due to other list member's recommendations. The person who answered the phone and showed up for the estimate was not "Mark", and I am not sure there is an actual "Mark". I can not recommend this company. I wasn't out the cost of the service call, but it was time consuming and inconvenient.

My ice maker wasn't. I called Mark's Appliance and Harvey came by the next day. He determined that the water valve was not functioning, thereby causing ice to freeze in the inlet to the refrigerator. He had replaced this water valve for two customers earlier in the day and didn't have another on his truck. He called the next morning, and came by to finish the job of replacing the water valve.

Called 8:30 A.M Monday morning and repair was completed by 10:15 A.M. No parts necessary. Prompt, courteous, informative service. Will definitely never call one of the major repair companies again and wait for days and hours for service.

So I did NOT have Mark's actually do any work, but I was very pleased that 1) Their charge for a service call would have been reasonable, and 2) That they did not try to soak me for the service call fee and/or any other work they may have done to try to repair the machine when they knew already it likely needed to be replaced. The dishwasher installer (contracted by the big chain where I bought the new machine) confirmed the "bad motor" diagnosis, and confirmed that it would have cost me near the price of a brand new dishwasher to have any repairs done, even if such repairs had been possible. I was pleased that Mark's didn't string me along or waste my time by trying to work on something they knew could probably not be fixed.

We called on a Monday afternoon and they stated they would be there Tues. morning by 9:30 am. They called again Tues. morning to let us know they were on their way and arrived by 9:20 am. Have never had a repairman show up early before! He was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. We were charged a service call but were still pleased even though it was something extremely simple and something we should have checked before we called. Would definitely use this company again!

We were pleased with the results. Impressed by cordiality, professionalism, and general character of service person. Only complaint was delay in obtaining needed part. I thought such common brand appliance would have been in stock by appliance repair shop. Was offended by the impersonal mfg repair scheduling and glad not to have to deal with them!

Refrigerator and freezer had quit when I called and was told it would be the next morning before he could come out. It actually started working again not long after I called, but I decided it needed to be serviced anyway to avoid having it go out again. He arrived at 9:00 a.m. the next day, and couldn't determine what had happened (since it was working fine when he arrived); but he gave me estimates on replacing the compressor and the control if it should happen again. He told me how I could check to see if it was the control if it quits again. He also told me what a new Sub-Zero would cost, how old this one was (because it was in the house when we bought it two years ago), and was most helpful, polite, and prompt. It was a most pleasant service call. I would definitely use them again.

We had our fridge go to warm over the weekend, after researching Angie's List, we found Marks Appliance Repair. I looked at all his feed backs and sure enough, everyone was right on the mark -- no pun intended. I called about 9am on a Monday and within 1 1/2 hours, they were here. They called first just to let us know they were on their way. They are fast, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Had it fixed in 15 minutes--best $140 for repair; well worth it! I will be calling them in the future for sure!

This was the best service call I've ever experienced. The repairman was here earlier than he estimated, the problem was quickly discovered and then repaired. I'll definitely call Mark's again when I need repair on any appliances in my house.

The repairman was on time and very proficient at what he did. It took less than 25 minutes.

I appreciated the whole experience. Marks Appliance came to my home, and had the refrigerator fixed within half an hour. I would recommend them to anyone.

I can trust Mark's Appliance Service. One time my refrigerator was not working properly. Mark's determined the problem was with the plug-in and did not charge me for labor. They got the washer going within 45 minutes. It is a great local service company.

Technician was very prompt and courteous; the first part was defective and the technician went immediately (even though it was late in the day) to the supplier to get another part. Have used this company several times over the years and would recommend them for any size job. Honest and reliable!

This is our first time using Marks Appliance Service. He did a great job fixing the dryer. We would use him again.

Marks Appliance's service technician was very helpful. He can look at something and know what is wrong with it. He is very smart and educated. He is easy to contact and comes out right away when I call him.
