+ -1 moreService was excellent. I only had to wait one day between my call and the technician arriving to repair the dryer (unlike Sears, which is always a week or more wait). He was prompt, extremely professional and just an all-around nice gentleman. He was in and out in about 30 minutes. It's been hard to find anyone to work on Samsung appliances...most refuse. I'd add a and quot;plusand quot; on to the and quot;Aand quot; rating, if it was allowed. I highly recommend this repair service.

+ -1 moreIt was great! I had a dishwasher that was not working. After googling it and trying to fix it myself, I finally call Mark's. He was kind enough to have me check a few things to make sure it wasn't something I could fix before he came out. Sure enough, it was a burned up wire connection just where he told me to look. I was able to fix it myself and am extremely grateful that he was cool enough to do that for me. Big props to Mark's Appliance.

+ -1 moreOverall, the technician was very prompt, professional, and honest. Examined my refrigerator and discovered that the defrosting panel needed replaced. We were given a quote for repair, but elected to purchase a new refrigerator rather than repair the old one. Would definitely recommend to any friend or neighbor!

By them coming out the same day we were able to save the contents of the refrigerator. I would definitely call Mark's again if needed...

After assessing the problem, he informed the manager that he could provide a quick fix and see if that helped, but a long-term fix would cost twice the amount.. I went with the quick fix because the washer was very old. If it breaks again, I will be buying a new one, so it was nice to have options. We were very impressed with the service.

+ -1 moreOverall it was an excellent experience. I bought a new washer based on the information he gave me. And I feel very confident that if any other appliance breaks down I will be given an honest evaluation of the problem and a very good price.
Description of Work: Came the day after i called on washer repair. He was very professional and very very honest. I was given full details of either repairing my washer or buying a new one. He even gave me advice on the best deals in town that he knew of. Three weeks later my dishwasher broke down. He came out with a quick fix and more knowledge about future problems that may happen and ways to avoid them. He will continue to be the one I call for appliance repair. Trust and honesty are hard to find. I feel very fortunate that I did.

Unfortunately, we had to call him next week on another problem, when he gave us the bad news that it would be cheaper to buy a new washer! No charge for that call, though, which was nice. Will use him again, especially since he left us a nice magnet with his phone number. With a new washer and dryer, we had better not see him for a long time, though!
Description of Work: Front load Kenmore washer stopped working. After checking everything I could on the internet to see if I could do it myself, I checked Angie's List and called Mark's. He was there same day and replaced the electronic door switch.

I was surprised that he would be willing to try and have me try some things to fix the icemaker without a service call, but he spent a good 15 minute on the phone with my father-in-law doing just that. After we realized that was not going to fix it, he came out a few days later and replaced the icemaker on the spot. It wasn't cheap but the icemaker works and it is new. I would recommend Harvey and Mike's Appliance Repair again. Thanks!
Description of Work: Harvey consulted with me on the phone to try and talk me through repairing my refrigerator icemaker myself. When that didn't work he came out a few days later and ended up having to replace it.

+ -1 moreI thought the cost was very reasonable and I am very pleased with the final results. Shane was great, didn't talk down to me, explained in simple terms what the issue was. He was polite and friendly. He was were very up front about the cost and stayed true to their word.
Description of Work: I called after 4:00 PM, and spoke to Harvey. He listened to my problem, and told me he could have someone to me the following morning. I was thrilled! The next morning, Shane called me as planned exactly when he said he would. He was prompt, courteous and friendly. He listened politely as I explained the problem and immediately set to work to inspect the machine. After looking it over thoroughly, he called for a second opinion. Both seemed to agree on the problem. He explained to me the likely problem and told me who much it would cost to fix it. He was very honest and frank with me about replacement versus repair on the machine itself, which I appreciated. Shane replaced 3 pads on the support struts which had been worn completely away. Then he tested the machine. It now works perfectly.

+ -1 moreI called Mark's on a Wednesday morning and they were able to fit me in on Friday. That was a nice surprise as I know these type of service men are very busy. Harvey arrived in a uniform, quickly listened to the problem and went right to work. He identified the issue with the dryer right away and called in for a replacement part. When the replacement part price came back, it was half the cost of a new dryer. After talking to him for a little bit, we decided to purchase a new dryer rather than spend the money fixing an older unit. He was able to tell us some stores to check with good prices and did not pressure me to have him fix the dryer. Great experience; would definitely recommend.
Description of Work: I damaged our dryer while moving into our new house. I called Mark's to see if they could fix the broken face-plate with the computer for the dryer.

+ -1 moreAppointment was timely kept. Two service men showed up. Both were nicely dressed in casual clothes. Both communicated professionally and worked efficiently. They found the heating element had shorted itself out, which also took out a thermostat. They had the necessary parts in their truck (pickup truck without a business name displayed). From the time they arrived until they left was about 25 minutes. Pleased with their service.

+ -1 moreI do not remember the details concerning their punctuality on the original service call since this occurred 4 months ago. After the repairman installed the new pump, I noticed an odd oily smell in the laundry at the end of the rinse cycle. I assumed this would go away with time, but it never has. Perhaps a month ago, I noticed we were again finding soapy water in the bottom of the tub at the end of the rinse cycle. I contacted Mark's Appliance Service again in mid February and scheduled another visit. They were supposed to call me at work before coming out. The never called and never came out.
Description of Work: My washing machine was not draining completely. The service man said it needed a new pump and installed one.

They called first thing Monday to get an idea as to the problem and then suggested the approximate price to repair. We set an appointment for later that day. Company showed up ontime and repair cost equalled the estimate. Repairman was neat, clean, and personable Wore a company logo shirt and carried a company logo repair container. Definitely will hire for any future home appliance needs.
