Description of Work: They were contracted by Lowe's to install a new water heater, which they did, and charged me $409 more than what I paid Lowe's for installation. But the plumber told us new city code required an additional piece of equipment, which could only be installed by a licensed electrician. We hired the electrician and he came installed the emergency on/off switch, at an additional cost of $609.37. When the city inspector came, he said that we didn't need that on/off switch because the water heater was in the same room as our breaker box. So, it cost me $1000 ($309+$409+$609.37) to install a new water heater. I think the electrician should have known the city code and advised us it was unnecessary.

Description of Work: They came the same day I called and replaced my water heater that day.

(never again) After trying to get the installer to come back to fix the leaks under the sink, I went back into the store and another man recommended Hermans. I was willing to pay an extra cost at this point just to not have to mop up my kitchen anymore! They went above and beyond, cleaning up an aging plumbing area and I couldn't be happier.

Description of Work: We had a new hot water tank installed through Lowe's and the plumbers that came were from Herman's. They did a great job, were very polite, and were also patient with my child who was underfoot watching everything they were doing. We had no problems with them or their work.

Description of Work: Hermans plumbing replaced a bury pump seal in my outdoor faucet, in less than 10 minutes they were done and gave me a bill for $194.50, the rubber seal cannot cost more than $5.00. I asked the plumber why it was so expensive... He replied that he "did not know, he had just got back from vacation". If he does not know why it costs so much... How the heck does he know what to charge you? After he left I called the office and stated my complaint. The man on the phone said the manager was out, but I can leave a message, I did. I was never called back. It appears to me Hermans plumbing is letting 20 year old kids make up a price while on the job, with a reciept that gives an elementary school type description of what was done, with no list of part prices, or labor cost, or actual time spent working! WHAT DID I PAY FOR? Red Plains plumbing came out a few months later, and in the cold rain dug a hole to fix a leaking waterline, took them over an hour. they charged me $75.00.
