We have used this company 3 times in the last 2 years with very good price/service in the past. They installed a complete package unit in our home 2 years ago this July and that went great. $12000.00 repair. No complaints. Last winter they installed a new furnace in our rental home 2 doors down. Again, no problem, great service, highly recommended. The contact of this review was a little different. Our a/c had no air flow. I had turned the unit off for a few days and the airflow returned. My experience with this situation suggested that the "a" coil was blocked by ice due to a low system charge. The tech Eric arrived as promised and confirmed my suspicions and recharged the system. Everything went as expected until my wife got the bill. We were charged $90 for a pound of freon....R-122. My wife questioned this and was told that R-122 is being phased out and was very hard to come by. The phased out part was true but the availability and cost ....not so much. I am a Lexus/Toyota tech and went through a similar event when the old R-12 for auto a/c phased out. I understand the situation quite well and checked myself on pricing and cost of R-122 currently. 30 pound canister for $190 all day long to anyone on Ebay. So, $20-$30 is fair. $40 maybe, but $90 for a pound? That is gouging. I recommend Drabek and Hill for major work. They give fair, competetive bids for turn key installs. Good people, solid installs. Don't use them for simple service. There are better deals to be had for that.

They were excellent but the cost was too much. They said our home was out of compliance with city ordinances; replaced the flue, removing asbestos, and replaced water heater, of course. Two days before Christmas, dead of winter: I was desperate enough to use them. And I will use them again providing we can agree on a reasonable price.

Keith was the person who spent over an hour and a half at my home, reviewing the existing systems which were to be replaced, took measurements, listened to my concerns, and provided solutions we could pursue in how he configured my future HVAC systems. |Unfortunately, the prices on the Lennox systems he quoted were too much for me to stomach, especially when I had existing quotes for Trane units of the same efficiency. So, I couldn't proceed with the company's quotes.

They are absolutely Aces. They are very, very good. We needed them to evaluate our house to get the right system for our house. Because I have specific temperature needs for sleeping they put in a dual system which allows the house to be two different temperatures in different areas of the house. It's a very high efficient cooling and heating system. We also had them build a steel cage around our air conditioning unit as well because we have had problems in the past with people stealing them for the copper piping. They also come twice a year to check everything out. They are just absolutely fantastic.

My heater had stopped working during the cold snap that came through the area. They helped get the thing running in no time

The punctuality is normally excellent, but the bad weather caused a delay.

The first time we used their service for an A/C and heating system was in 1981. They provide an excellent service. What stand out about them is their service and their honesty. When you get their service, you know you’re not gonna get ripped off.

They were professional. They knew their product and the installation was excellent. We thought that there would be problems but it turned out there weren’t and so they knew their job. It was impressive and we were pleased. They weren’t the most expensive and they weren’t the least expensive.

He was here at the top of my 4 hour window, was very straight forward and quick!

Came when no one else could, and completed the job in a trustworthy manner.

I called D&H and they said a service man could be at my house in 30 minutes. That's unheard of these days. The serviceman, Geoffrey, showed up on time. Very professional. Had me turn on the air conditioner to see if the condenser would kick on and it did for a second. He then opened up the side of the air conditioner and tested several things and touched the hard start capacitor and it was firecracker hot.

It went great. The salesman was knowledgeable. Work crew showed up on schedule and completed the work on time for the agreed cost. They left the place clean.

Andrew was the technician. He appeared knowledgeable. Did a thorough job of inspecting my air condition unit .Fortunately there were no problems identified. The Freon level was checked, and the AC fins were cleaned with water. Also thermostats was checked to see if it was functioning properly and also the temperature at the air intake and the outlet.The AC drain pipes and condensation pan were also checked.

: "My AC unit at home is low on refrigerant, i have now been sleeping in the living room because it is so hot in here. My father in law recommended Drabek & Hill and I decided to schedule service with them. I scheduled an appointment on Tuesday 6/11/13 for Friday 6/14/13 between 3 to 5 pm. This was the slot I was giving because they were busy. Friday, I took the afternoon off from work to be home when the technician arrived. At 3:30pm on Friday, I called to make sure a technician was confirmed and on-time. The lady on the phone was courteous, but indicated the technician was running behind and it would be now 5:30, not 5:00pm. I asked to please do whatever needed to stay on time as I had an appointment at 7:00pm that would force me to leave home around 6:00. I received a call at 5:30 pm indicating the tehnician would be calling me in 20 minutes. There was no apology, this was a blunt call and the attitude was take it or leave it. As there was nothing I could do, I told them to come in as soon as they could. The technician arrived at 6:00pm, one hour late. At the door, I explained to him I was disappointed as I had been waiting all week for my appointment, he was one hour late and nobody in his company had ever even apologized or showed concern. The technician response was "Listen, I have been working all day". I responded that was not my fault. The technician said "well ok. Have a good day Sir.". Walked to his vehicle and left. I couldn't believe it. After waiting for my appointment for one week, they arrived late, were very rude and did not perform any work. This is unacceptable customer service. This provider feels they are entitled to treat you as poorly as they want according to their workload. All I wanted was some basic courtesy on the phone and from the technician. Instead, Drabek & Hill has left me with my unit still unserviced after waiting one week for their arrival. This is the worst customer experience I have had in a while.

Overall the service was performed as expected.

Left me wondering why the estimates were so high....since i didn't understand this opted not to use the company.

It went fine and everything was done on the same day. The customer service was excellent. They kept in good contact with us, they were on time and did everything when they said they would.

I needed to have my heating unit serviced because there was an indication there was a leak out of the unit. The house I live in is only 9 years old and you wouldn't expect such a problem. Drabek and Hill cleaned up the Heating Unit, found there was no leak and then cleaned everything thoroughly. They were such pros! I would and will hire them again for any type of service needed for my heating or a/c unit.

They were good about providing me with follow up education about the system and everything went well.

In all of the years that I have used various heating and air, electrical and other types of companies, I have never seen a technician so qualified. Again, he immediately diagnosed the problem(s) and began to repair after giving me an estimate. He (Eric W.) was very professional and business friendly. He was careful with my house and surroundings. I tried to tip him with a bit of cash for a job well done but he would not accept the tip. He could have easily told me the heater was out or the fan was out and I wouldn't have known the difference, but in the end the part and labor was only $236. I would say an honest company and a very talented and honest employee. Use this company and ask for Eric W.

They did a great job. They came in and removed my old heat and air system and moved the furnace into the attic and ran all new ductwork and installed new registers in the ceiling. They moved the air conditioner from the back yard and installed a new one on the side of the house. They removed the water heater and installed a new tankless waterheater and repiped everything back in. The job was very professionally done and I am very happy with the results.

I was truly pleased with their professionalism and expediency. They were able to get the job done quickly and on my time.

My A/C compressor was not running. I called them to come out which they did and determined the fan needed to be replaced. They came out on Sunday, 8 July, and replaced the fan. Total cost $897. I've checked several places since and they all said this cost was about twice as much as it should be. One company quoted $450.

Service personnel was prompt. Checked to insure ac unit was prepared to work thru the summer heat.As a follow up Claude Drabek himself came out to and inspected my system when I had some questions. I was very pleased with his concern for my air conditioning needs. I will use Drabek and Hill again in the future.
