They sent the roofer out promptly to measure the roof and give me an estimate. I needed the work to be done as soon as possible, and they fit me in within a couple days. The job was done well.

The roof was replaced in July, shortly after the hailstorm. That crew ended up coming a few days earlier than planned but it worked out fine. They removed the old roof then replaced it. They painted the pipes and vents to match the roof. They also caught the chainlink fence post at some point and broke a connector and bent the post. The next part of the project began in August. It took awhile for them to get started since were working on other jobs and hadn't gotten in everything needed for mine. They started by removing all the old gutters, old patio, and siding. The crew putting on the new siding started 2 days later, preparing the areas and started putting up the new soffit, fascia, siding, etc. They removed one double window and one single and replaced them with picture windows. They removed the old porch posts which were rotting and replaced them with aluminum ones. In the meantime the concrete guys came out, removed the old concrete and patio bricks, dug the foundation for the patio and prepared it for pouring the concrete. Got the concrete poured the next day. The siding guys removed the old sliding glass door and installed a french door. I needed to be gone a week so we scheduled the the start of the sunroom the following week. They ended up having to finish another project so they didn't make it over for a couple of days. They got started then we had a rain delay for a couple of days. Once they got going it was finished relatively quickly. They did get there a bit late some days due to picking up things needed and truck problems. The last crew came and installed the new gutters in one day and fixed the fence. At the end of the project there were a few things that needed to be taken care of...a door sill and chain, a small piece on the sunroom wall which could slide, the satellite dish cable needed attached better to the soffit, a leaking gutter, and a question about extensions on 2 of the downspouts. Chuck came out personally to take care of the remaining issues and took care of things to my satisfaction. The clean up was not the best, as I still find nails from the roof and screws from the rest of it and other small pieces of trash. The crews were all great and the work was outstanding for the price.

Storm came through on 5/29/12 and many shingles were lost due to the wind. The morning of 5/30/12, I accessed Angie's List to research companies who could perform roof repairs. I was in somewhat of a rush since the forecast stated more storms were coming through and several shingles were lost along the ridgeline. I called Discount Remodelers. They were very responsive. Sent someone out within the hour and my roof was repaired by noon. I designated 'good' for both the quality and price only because I am not a roofing expert. I don't appear to have any leaks so I'm fairly certain they did a good job. I did not take time to shop other companies. Due to the rush circumstances and the fact that it was not a scheduled job, I feel the price was good. The gentleman that did the repairs did state that should I hire Discount Remodelers to replace my entire roof in the future, I would be able to apply the $350 towards the cost. I thought that was excellent!

I had them take care of my new roof before this, but they sent me a different crew for the siding job. I let their boss know that they weren’t up to par. They took long breaks and took days to finish the siding job even though it was a smaller job than the roofing job that I also had them do. They quit earlier and came late, left cigarette butts behind and didn’t completely clean up after themselves.

The workmanship and final results of far exceeded my expectations and am very pleased with all work performed.

The initial inspection went great, their representative was attentive to what I wanted to have done, he inspected the house with the adjuster as well as to make recommendations for other work I was requesting. The work began on a timeline I was satisfied with, I needed to be flexible due to my work schedule and they had a lot of work going on due to recent hail damage so the dates of the work were fine with me. The heat outdoors was a factor, but they stuck to their work plan and got the jobs done in a short timeframe. The workers were all friendly, professional and very skilled at what they do. They did excellent work and you can tell they take pride in their work. They also made recommendations and I took advantage of that advice and the company was nice about adding some things I had not thought about.initially. They cleaned up completely after each job. In closing, I am completely satisfied with the work that was done to my home. I did not have to ask for a single thing to be done twice, and when I asked for slight modifications that needed to be revisited they were good about coming back and making the adjustments. I still have a contract left to be completed in September but I'm very happy with my choice to use this company. The quality of work makes the recommendation easy. I give them a strong A for their service P.S. Something to think about unrelated to the service provided by this contractor: I did have worries when material had to be left overnight because I live on a visible corner lot and the material sparked some unwanted attention. I guess times are hard out there, I felt I lived in a pretty nice neighborhood but that had no bearing on the risk. I kept things in a locked fenced area but still had two unwanted visits. Lucky for me the thieves in my area was clumsy both times and dropped their loot. Plus my dog was doing his job along with the motion lighting...but it did lead to a couple of sleep deprived nights. I ended up locking things I could carry in the garage a couple of times just to make sure nothing stopped my project from moving forward.

Ron the guy who comes out and gives the estimate and writes the order, is extremely nice, professional and helpful. The installers were the same and were very good about cleaning up all materials after when they were done. They worked quickly but did a great professional job.

Jeff was very quick to respond to my request for an estimate. He provided an estimate the day he assessed the things to be fixed & didn't try to pressure a quick commitment from me because he was the first to provide a quote. The pricing was very competitive & I liked that one company would take care of all my problems instead of contracting them out! When I called to let them know that I would be using this company, we were able to get a contract signed very quickly & the work was started very soon after. The roof was done in one day & I love it! The guys did a great job of picking up the nails (I found only a few hiding in corners & crevices) & all the trash was picked up. Also, they did not damage my plants or property (as was my last experience with a different roofing company several years ago.) The siding & chimney were done a short time later, they weren't started as quickly because they were trying to match the old, dated siding that hadn't been damaged so wasn't being replaced. We had a few challenges with completion of the siding & chimney, but Jeff was very receptive & quick to respond to my questions/concerns & any issues were corrected promptly! I am extremely satisfied with the end product. There are several other things I want to have fixed/redone to the house & I fully intend to contact Discount Remodelers when that time comes!!

I initially contacted this company regarding repair of windows, siding, and roof damage caused by a hail storm. I do understand there were many in my same situation. The company did contact me quickly after I sent an email through Angie's List and let me know they would be doing an esimate visit the upcoming Tuesday. When I hadn't heard from them by Thursday, I called and was told I'd have the estimate either later that day or the next morning. Again, I understood due to the large amount of damage in the area. When nothing had been received by Wednesday of the following week, I called the main number rather than the cell number I had been contacted from initially. The man who answered said he'd contact the person who did the estimates and call me right back. I never heard from either of them by phone again. Finally, Friday again rolls around and I did receive the written estimate/bid. It was from 30% above to double all three additional bids received in the interim from other Angie's List providers. Needless to say, I chose another company and have been completely satisified. Thanks, Angie!

I submitted an online request for them to contact me regarding completing my siding and fascia. That was a month ago and they have never responded.

Discount Remodelers is awesome. They were always there went they said they would be. Everything is as they said it would be including the price.

From the sales person who gave us the estimate to the gentlemen who actually did the work, all were very professional and did an excellent job. Their price was half what others estimated. They started on the jobs quickly, finished quickly and did a great job. We couldn't be happier with their work and will certainly use them next time we need something done around the house. They definitely rate an A on all counts.

Overall if you want to get the best deal then this is the company to do the work.

They really did an exceptional job! I even had them come back out and do other things for us. They swapped out some doors for me, fixed some sheet rock and other odd jobs. The quality is good. I will be using them again.

we called for a salesman to come by. an appointment was made, he arrived promptly on time and was very helpful and courteous. he listened to what we wanted, explained the companies product, showed us samples, after we decided what we wanted he prepared an estimate, told us when they could start. and we agreed to have the work done. there was a crew for the concrete work, sidng,widows door and soffits, and a crew for the patiocover and carport. all crews were supervised and scheduled by one main supervisor from start to finish. they were carefull to address all our concerns and answered all our questions. I have other projects in mind for the future and will not hesitate to have them do the work when the time comes.

They did a great job the whole time and I had no dislikes. They were all great.

Oklahoma is known for extreme weather. Due to recent damage, I found Discount Remodelers in September of 2009. I had met and received bids from several local and out of state roofers and none of them impressed me as much as Chuck Minicozzi. He came to my home and inspected the damage and within the day, I receive a very competitive quote for all of my damage...not just the roof, but all gutters, shutters, and windows. The process was extremely painless as the crew showed up and did the job in one day and the yard was completely clear of any debris. My neighbors who had decided to go with other companies were still waiting to have their roofs replaced. Then the storm of May 2010 came and hit Piedmont hard. I knew exactly the company to call! Chuck was back to my home within a day to give me another quote and I had him replace my roof again! I couldn't be any happier with my dealings with Chuck Minicozzi of Discount Remodelers. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are a 20! You can't and won't find any better! Since then, I've had them install a beautiful new sun-room on my home. It not only adds to the overall aesthetics of the home, but to the value!

At the recommendation of our daughter-in-law, we contracted with Discount Remodelers to replace our 50 year plus old windows and oversized patio door. We could not be more pleased with the service and the results. It actually gives us pleasure to open and close our smooth gliding door. All of our sons have commented on it when they have been home. No more drag! The windows have been wonderful, stay up when we open them and even when the wind blows hard, they do not rattle. Our little house is warm and cozy for our retirement years and we expect great savings on our utility bills! I cannot speak too highly of the work of Discount Remodelers and would recommend them to anyone in need of home remodeling.

After a severe storm hit, we were left with a pretty bad roof, holes in our window screens and our gutters were falling down and dented. We waited a bit to call anyone since the entire city had damage and from what I heard it was taking months for some people to get work done. I was torn over who to use - I had a company come to our house asking for business and my mother-in-law was suggesting that we use her roofer. My mother-in-law's company came to give us an estimate, the guy seemed a little inexperienced, left and never called back. We tried calling him several times and he always said he was trying to "get to us" ...apparently he had enough business. The other company that came to our house seemed to be a fly by night crew just looking to make money off of what happened and left me with a gut feeling not to use them. I was then referred to Chuck at Discount Remodelers by someone who was currently using him that really had exceptional things to say about him. After that, I ran into my State Farm agent at the grocery store (she's a family friend) who asked me who we had decided to use. I told her we were thinking of Discount Remodelers. She gleamed and said, "you can't go wrong with Chuck. He's as good as gold." Apparently he's the best kept secret in town and I had no idea or I would have used him for many other things. She said his family has been in business for many years and they have an exceptional reputation in their business practices as well as on a personal level. That just about settled it for me, especially since she's deals with these kinds of companies on a daily basis, she's seen it all so her recommendation stuck. Let me just say, first impressions are everything. Upon meeting Chuck, I was so pleased and relieved. Not your average "roofing" guy that's trying to sell you, upgrade you, or pressure you into anything. Nor did I feel like just another number on his calendar. He was so sincere and I could tell immediately he ran an honest, dependable business just by the way he spoke and carried himself. There was a humility there that usually doesn't exist in men, especially in this kind of business...I think it comes from knowing he does things right, he offers a good product and stands by all of the work done. That really speaks for itself. He was humble, yet confident we'd be pleased. He worked with us on getting us the best deal for our insurance money. He began work immediately (many of my neighbors and friends were still waiting for work to begin, or for a follow up to fix something done wrong - some even had leaks!) He answered his phone personally each and every time we called him, and he and his son (who was just as precious as he was) stopped by each day during the job to make sure all of the guys were getting the job done right. I was impressed with that, you usually don't see them again after they have your money - you only see the labor crew. I can't count the times we spoke with Chuck from start to finish, he called often and was personally involved, overseeing the entire job himself. The crew was pleasant, very respectable and I enjoyed having them at my house. They did a great job cleaning up and the work done was truly amazing - my husband is an engineer and is meticulous about how things are done. To his surprise, there wasn't any complaints. Not one. Quality work! I can't tell you the difference the roof, gutters and screens made to the house - it's value went up considerably and got us a 20% discount on our insurance. I have referred Chuck many times now, to anyone needing this type of service. My mother-in-law actually had him come and do her windows - she was sold on him too. He's not just great to do business with, he's just an overall good man with old-fashioned values and standards. I love it when I meet people like him and I can help their business - especially when they are so high above what everyone else out there is offering. Working with him reminded me of how things used to be, when you could "shake on it" and take someone at their word. Not many people like that doing business anymore, it was refreshing and encouraging to me to know that there are still good people in the world who aren't just looking to make a buck.

I first hired Discount Remodelers in summer of 2010 for a roof replacement. I was absolutely amazed at how much MORE they were able to do with my roof replacement insurance check! Not only did I get an upgraded lifetime roof, but also the roof vents, all new guttering and a few brand new windows! they also repaired a few awnings that were damaged by a recent storm. I was so pleased with this first job and the initial new windows, I went ahead and purchased a whole house replacement for the remaining windows and replaced my front glass door a few months later. My home is 30 years old, so it was time to do all this anyway - and Discount Remodelers price for windows was about a THIRD the cost of several other window companies I had quotes from! Next, I had them enclose two of my patios for me (June 2011). One especially for my plants that I could never keep alive - now, I actually have a green thumb! The patio room is bright and looks great with all my plants. We also found that was a great spot for our house cat to reside (added bonus!) We moved her bowls and liter box there - so now it is completely out of sight, and she has a nice sunny area to nap all day. The other patio enclosure is off my bedroom and is a great place for those who want to have a cigarette (we don't smoke in the house). These enclosures are multi purpose rooms with so many great uses. Everyone that comes over raves about the added space. I know if I ever decide to move, those will be great for resale as well. Lastly, I just had DR blow new insulation in my attic (Dec 2011). I just could not get my house warm, no matter what the temp was set on. Upon the free inspection, we found I barely had any insulation at all - no wonder!. Immediately after they blew in the new insulation, I had to turn my thermostat down (6 degrees!). I can't imagine how much $$ I would have been saving all these years if I had just done these things sooner! The insulation was so inexpensive, and I have zero doubt that my utility bills will be about HALF what I have been paying. I highly recommend Discount Remodelers for any job you may have. They are good as gold in my book and very honest! You just don't find people in business like this anymore. Chuck and Ron will give you the very best deal on anything they do and will even tell you if you don't need it! I'll be having them back out next summer to start on pergola in the back yard and new hot tub enclosure I have been wanting for years! This old house of mine is looking brand new again, thanks to Discount Remodelers!

They did a good job. It took them a couple of weeks to do the job. Maybe a little longer than what they wanted to. They showed up everyday and even showed up on a Saturday. It's a pretty big house. We were overall happy with them.
