We made 5 trips to [Member Name Removed]'s home during this process to complete an estimate for hail damage, normally on insurance job's 3 is standard one to inspect for damage and determine if it's necessary to involve the insurance company , one to meet with the adjuster to make sure were on the same page as far as the scope of item's to repair .The third trip to show samples and colors of the product's we install and get the contract signed . During that 3rd meeting she expressed the desire to install a product someone she knew recommended , unfortunately we did not carry that product line it was , at that point we shook hands and parted ways . A week or so later she called and had decided to use one of our product's , on the forth meet the colors weren't enough to pick from so a fifth appointment was scheduled. At the final appointment after everything was decided and products and colors were picked she starts reading over the contract then takes out a marker and proceeds to crossing out sections of the legal-ease parts of the contract she doesn't particularly like , at that point I expressed those are part of most contracts these days and while we would rather not have any of it in there it was a necessary part of the contract ( so decided by someone with a law degree ) and we couldn't proceed without it , I suggested they think about it and talk it over ( they being her and her boyfriend that was present ) that upset her and she blew up at me saying that was sexist implying I was saying that a man was needed for this decision , I apologized and explained that was not what I meant by my statement . She didn't except my apology ( by this time its after 9 pm as all the appointments happened after her work day was finished ) so I seen myself out . The next morning she called to apologize and wanted to set another appointment and at that point I thanked her for the opportunity but suggested she find another contractor . In the end we made 5 50 mile trips , worked with her insurance adjuster to ensure all damage was covered ( no charge )
