Convenient Movers LLC

I booked Convenient Movers through Uhaul's website after reserving a truck. I believe they are listed as 'Best Movers' on the Uhaul website. You will know which one is them by looking for the most affordable price. I scheduled the day before and could not have recieved better service. They work hard and don't waste any time. You pay for a 2-3 hour window but they will stay later to get the job done without charging, within reason of course. Loved everything about Convenient Movers!

Grat job will use them again

Once we got started everything went well. They had 2 moves scheduled for that day and the 1st one took longer than expected. I was able to be flexible, so it wasn't an issue. They were able to get my furniture to my new home and unloaded in just a few hours.

We needed them to move a vending machine and some pianos (within the building). When I called to make the appointment, I told them that we had purchased a prepaid coupon that expired in two days (Angie's list coupon). And, if possible if we could schedule a time the following week. They agreed there would be no problem with coming the next week. They sent "Dingle" and "Dingleberry". A little guy, not much bigger than a flea and his partner. To wrap it up. They moved the vending machine and we sent them on their way. (30 min) The next day. The office called and said the coupon was expired and we owed the $99 to them. That's where we are now...... Ugh

Very poor performance. 4 Guys stood around for about 2 hours trying to figure out how to get my buffet out. 2 women carried it in when i bought it. They broke a chair and just laughed and said i could get paid by the pound the damage. Took probably 4 hours too long. Team manager was very sarcastic and they certainly didn't work very hard.

I'm not sure how my original review got deleted and replaced with the numbers below, but here's another: While the guys showed up on time, were fairly organized, and worked hard, one of them told me I had to pay them another fee on top of the Angie's List deal, which I did because I needed the job completed. He encouraged me to go get cash for the extra fee as well, but I ended up writing a check which ultimately served me best. I will say this: when I mentioned it to Angie's List customer service, they were prompt in contacting Convenient Movers and the owner was willing to reimburse me the extra fee, but he seemed unaware that this was happening. So my review is: the company did right by me in the end result, and the work was done in the time allotted --- just beware of the individual movers and keep in mind that you should only ever have to pay the Angie's Big Deal amount! 1/18/12 ... $99.003/30/12 ... $119.00

When the telephone mix up was solved, we started on the journey.Bought the guys something from McDonald to get them started.They were very appreciative. Nice guys. Next time I will use professional movers that pack my things, then deliver.The $99 for two hours was a nice incentive. The end cost of $400 didn't save me a thing...and I would have my sheets!!

I give a C for price because of not knowing about the tax or fuel surcharge ahead of time--and maybe I'm the one who is off, but I'm not accustomed to paying a tax on a service. The C for professionalism isn't related to the two men doing the job. Rather, I thought it was unprofessional of the company to give me a rating sheet to be filled out on the spot and given back to the men doing the job. I didn't feel I was given the opportunity to be candid--nor the opportunity to be thoughtful in my ratings or remarks, with the men standing beside me, waiting for me to finish.

The owner had overbooked them that day and they were over 4 hours late. I also felt they could have had better equipment for larger furniture. However, they did a good job and the guys worked really hard the whole time to get it done.

It worked out good. They seemed very professional, courteous and they were on time. I had no problems.

Great crew with great attitudes. Very effiicient and damaged nothing. I was very satisfied it went so well.

Rudest company I have ever dealt with

See above. We had used this company before with a very pleasant outcome, so we went back to it for these later two jobs. However, this second experience was not good, and although it may have been a fluke sub-par performance, we would be hesitant to recommend the company to anyone else.

Was quoted $155 for two hours for two movers. Scheduled for 2pm, movers didn't arrive until around 6:30pm, by which time I had had to leave the state, as I was moving for a job. They sent an extra mover, which added $25/hour to try to get the moving done in one day. My father had to stay at my apartment all day waiting for them, and wasn't experienced in dealing with movers. They moved some of my things into their truck and then a bad hail storm hit, which knocked holes in the roof of their truck, so it rained on my things. I haven't been able to make it back to Oklahoma yet, due to work, so I don't know the extent of the water damage. Apparently the movers also broke a drawer in my antique mirrored jewelry chest--which cost about $5000. Again, I haven't been able to assess the damage personally, so I don't know the extent. I can forgive the lateness and to some extent the water damage because the storm was unexpectedly strong. However, they charged my father $550 for the move, and unfortunately he signed an agreement that stated that the movers weren't liable for any damages. I'm half-way across the country and I feel helpless to do anything about this situation. I absolutely do not recommend these movers.

Kendall & Kerry came out. They didn't know each other before starting on this job. They were such nice young men. It was fun to listening to them talk while they were packing. They did a great job & got so much done. They were so contentious! I had about 12 hours of their service which meant they were around for lunch & dinner as well which was also pleasant - we all ate together! The manager, Jay, sent a 2 packers even though I was expecting only one person to come out. He was just great too. He was so accommodating to find people to work within our changing schedule. I'll also call them to unpack for sure!

They called before coming out and were available earlier than originally discussed. They showed up timely at the first address and after loading everything quickly and efficiently followed me to the second address, where they following direction well and again worked quickly and efficiently. They unloaded everything exactly as I asked, set up the beds for me and placed the furniture where I asked it to be placed, even moving around the living room furniture when I wasn't entirely happy with the placement. They treated everything with care, were extremely courteous and friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely hire this company again if I had to move again and would recommend them to my friends and family.

Two young men arrived. The lead was professional, friendly, and polite. They were both on the phone frequently. They moved furniture and boxes to one house, then moved appliances from the second house back to the first. I had purchased a "Big Deal" for 3 hours for $99.00. There was an additional $60.00 charge for use of a truck. The company charged an additonal $40.00 for a gas fee. There was a $99 for each additional hour. It took them a total of five hours to move. At the end, I asked how the additional two hours would be paid, would it be billed to my Anjies list account, they stated I was to pay in cash. I refused to do so. One of the young men stated he was not leaving the truck until he got paid, he was hired from Craig's list, and he wanted to get paid. I was disappointed the company would hire strangers. The company man, Jay, called me, I offered to make out two separate checks, one to his company and one to the workers in order to solve the current problem. He thanked me for doing so. After writing the two checks, the workers asked me to write them each out a check, I refused. The next day, the workers called my cell phone numerous times leaving messages asking me to come cash the check for them because they didn't have ID. I requested intervention from Anjie's list. At one point I was asked to write another check. Before doing so I checked my account, all checks I had written the previous day had been cashed

.They were fast and they packed everything securely so that nothing was damaged.

I called Convenient Movers because they had a coupon on Angie's List offering 3 hours of moving services for $99.00 plus $60.00 for the truck. When I called to make the appointment, Assam the person who answered the phone, confirmed that the deal was $99.00 labor plus $60.00 for the truck for three hours with no additional charges so the appointment was set. Upon arrival Jay, the owner, stated that I would have to pay an additional $60.00 because he had brought a third laborer. I showed him the Angie's List coupon. It says nothing about extra fees for extra laborers. He then stated that we could either have TWO hours of moving services for $99.00 or we could pay an additional $60.00 in order to get the three hours that we had scheduled. The coupon also states that they carry insurance to cover your belongings. It turns out that the insurance pays .60 cents per pound. If you want full replacement coverage you will have to buy additional coverage at a cost of 10% of the value of the item. I was in a bind and needed our stuff moved so I reluctantly agreed to pay the additional $60.00 in order to get the three hours of moving. I chose not to pay extra for the insurance. Once I gave the OK to start Jay and his crew worked very quickly and efficiently. They filled their 27 foot truck with our belongings and had it moved and unloaded at our new house in just under three hours. They were very professional and very efficient. They were also careful with our belongings and nothing was broken. When they were finished Jay asked me to give them a good rating on Angie's List. I told Jay that I would give them credit for being courteous, fast, and efficient but that I would also report that I felt their coupon was false advertising.

Company was very unprofessional. I was unable to pack my home due to a medical condition and called Jay (owner) to see if they'd be able to send people out ahead of time to get us packed. The guys that they sent were very nice but clearly had no experience packing and were just dumping stuff into boxes- without wrapping things up etc. They kept asking if they needed to pack this or that- and I kept having to reiterate that everything was to be packed. They apparently only had three hours allocated to my job and had to leave before it was finished. Luckily, family members were able to finish packing the house. They accept cash or a credit card BUT charge a 9% processing fee for the credit card. So, be ready to pay them cash. When I asked for a receipt, they could not provide one. They called the owner who said he'd send one but I have not and don't expect to receive it. Even worse, you have to pay them the cash (no receipt provided) BEFORE they unload the truck per the contract! I was very concerned with their professionalism and experience and at this point called Jay to explain that I had a lot of very big, very expensive furniture that they were going to be responsible for moving the next day. I really wanted to cancel at this point but needed to move the next day so I was out of options. I told him several times that the job would be a full day move and that I wanted them to take their time wrapping and moving the furniture to reduce the risk of damage- and that I wanted a more experienced crew. At this point, we spoke about their insurance policy- which is that items are insured at 60 cents/lb. You can buy full insurance at 10% of an individual item's value- so basically, not really insured for much if they damage something unless you pay big money. A new crew arrived the next day on time, one guy walked off the job first thing after having ME give directions to his new employer who was on his way to pick him up for an oilfield job. Things were moving very slowly until Jay- the owner- arrived to fill in for the guy that left. From that point on, the move went pretty smoothly and they got all of our furniture and boxes from the inside of the home over to our new home. They arrived at 8:00 AM and left around 6:00 PM. HOWEVER, they left before finishing the job. Turns out, they had several more jobs lined up on this Saturday! Jay asked us if he could come back to get the contents of our garage and a storage unit the next day (Sunday). We told him that would be fine- feeling sorry for the guys that still had two more jobs to do that Saturday. Jay called back on Sunday after 6:00 PM to tell us that he couldn't make it over to get the other stuff because he was busy on a different job. After that, he never called back. It's still at our old house- I'm going to hire another company to move it for us. I have never worked with such an unprofessional company and don't understand how this company has such high ratings on Angie's List.

I would recommend never hiring these movers. I have never had such a bad experience. At the time they were supposed to show up to start moving (9:00 a.m.), they called to say their truck had broken down and could we reschedule for another day or move later in the day. Because we had to be out of our house by the end of the weekend, we told them we could not reschedule but that later in the day would be fine. We rented a Uhaul just in case their truck could not be fixed. They maintained that they were still waiting on a part for the truck which would be repaired later that evening (on a Saturday). However, at about 4:00 in the afternoon (the time we had arranged with them to pick up the Uhaul truck we had rented which they agreed to use to start moving) they stopped answering the phones and never returned our phone calls. Not only did they not do the job they had agreed to do, but they spent an entire day wasting our time while we waited on them to be ready to do the job, and then they just disappeared. I have never had an experience with a company being so unprofessional and unreliable. I would caution anyone from using these movers.

This movers are open 24/7 which makes it very convenient. They picked up when I called on a Sunday and scheduled me for a move a few weeks later. They were scheduled to show up at noon but eventually showed at 8:15pm! They finished the move at 11:30 pm and I was exhausted! That being said they worked hard and were careful with my things. I do feel however that I should have received some sort of a discount for the anxiety and inconvenience they caused. I would recommend that whoever does decide to use these movers should schedule their move first thing in the morning.

It went very well!! Even I would use this Mover if I were going to move again (HEAVEN FORBID).

Called at 4 pm to schedule a short move for either the weekend or perhaps the next week. Company was very responsive and said they would do the move that evening. Movers showed up about 8 pm and were very tired from a long day of moving. They seemed to have difficulty lifting large items and tended to push furntiure around on the floor. Did some damage to leather sofa and the walls of the staircase. It would have been a better experience had they simply said they would do the job the next day when the movers were not as tired.

They arrived early, worked hard, and performed the services that we asked for in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. They were courteous and efficient.
