Description of Work: Doing the full year service to try to get our new 1 acre lot started off nice. Only issue was that there was still a lot of weeds after the first treatment. It was watered as instructed, just it seemed like there were a lot missed. Wonder if the heavy rains the following week caused some of the issue.

Description of Work: Pros: call notification before each application. Good results from pre-emergent applications. |Cons: sometimes incomplete coverage with fertilizer; poor recognition of need for spot treatment of persistent week patches.

Description of Work: Our lawn was in awful shape and we just couldn't effectively get rid of weeds. These guys have our yard looking great now. Quality service and reasonable cost.

Description of Work: They spread stuff on the lawn in Oct, Feb, Mar, Apr. (4 times a year). They have been doing this for the last 3 years. The problem is that I still have stickers, thousands of them, in the yard. They haven't gone, in fact, the stickers are worse. I cancelled my contract with them yesterday and will not use AGRILAWN again.

I like them, and the service guy I talked to over the phone, and the guys that came out to do the work were good, but the front office and communication between them is poor. WE have an acreage and front gate. The second time they came they didn't call first and out gate was closed, so they couldn't treat. They left a note and I called the girl - she said - no we didn't call because it says its just the front yard and you don't have a dog. I can't reschedule you because someone else does that. otherwise good service, lawn looks good

They are always great about |informing us of any special treatments our lawn may need and they answer all our questions professionally; without pressure to purchase. We have people |ask what company takes care of our lawn quite often. I do recommend this company.

Description of Work: I used agrilawn for the last 3-4 years. Starting last year I was having issues with weeds like never before. My grass also looked malnourished and yellow. I called and they would come out to re-treat, but always on a segway-type machine that sped around the lawn so fast that I watched it not cover evenly. After calling again to complain, nothing was changed, so I cancelled their service and went with a different provider that treats by hand and not a segway. My yard isn't *that* big!

Description of Work: I was a customer for several years with our payment auto-debited when service was performed. After each service we would get an invoice in the mail but we ignored the invoice since the payment was automatically charged. We did this for a few years. One day, out of the blue, we received a notice from a collection agency for our Agrilawn unpaid account. Apparently our card on file had expired and they sent our account to collections. Again, we had been a customer for several years at this point. I would think that they would at least give us a courtesy call before reporting the account to a collection agency. We paid the bill and cancelled our service. I don't appreciate someone putting a bad mark on my credit for no reason. It certainly left a bad taste in my mouth.

Description of Work: I have used this company for several years and in prior years the service was good. This year however is a different story. They applied a pre-emergent in Jan 2012 and April 2012. Then in mid-July they called and said a treatment was scheduled for the next day, but no one showed up. I called and they rescheduled and showed up while I was away and the employee was rude to my wife. I was scheduled for 7 treatments a year, but they waited 3 months between the April treatement and the July treatment. Then they called 3 weeks later and wanted to schedule the next treatment. I told them it was only 3 weeks since the last treatment and to wait until the end of September to start the fall treatment. They showed up 9/8/2012 and applied a mid-summer treatment. At this point I had enough and canceled my service.

Description of Work: My husband called and asked to start getting treatments for our lawn. We asked for a full preemergent treatment in Jan/ Feb for both the front and back yard, and then just a couple of follow-up treatments on the back to reduce the weeds. It took them three weeks to apply the treatment, at which time they killed several of my plants (though we had flagged them as requested) and the weeds were very slow to die - so slow that many of them survived and then starting thriving. Okay... well, we thought it was a fluke, we called late, the pre-emergent just didn't have time to work. We held the invoice about a month, and as soon as we had paid the invoice, they were back to treat the yard again (no call, no warning, just a bill on our door after they were finished). We couldn't overseed the front yard as we had planned because they treated both font and back (not what we were expecting). By the way, we finally ended up killing the weed ourselves because they were still thriving after two treatments. It happened this way one more time, and I finally called and canceled the service. Apparently, we were on the "yearly" plan and there was no record of "only the back yard" in the files. The lady on the phone was very nice, but somehow implied that we were at fault (if it wasn't in the files, you must not have said it - really???) I feel like we paid a lot for very little return (it was about $86 per treatment) I did not have a good experience with this company, but it was highly recommended by friends, so this may (I hope) be the exception and not the norm for them. They do need to improve their customer service and communication.
