Description of Work: They came to clean the chimney & fireplace. They did that & told me my damper was broken. They said that they could not fix it because of the way it was built into the chimney. I asked if they could put a metal cap on top of the chimney to allow us to use it , but keep out the birds. They said that they could, but would have to come b ack with another ladder to check it out (two story house). I called several times, made requests for a visit, they blew me off. 2years later I still have no cap.

Description of Work: Please do not ask me to rate this company again. I had given it a bad rating before and they called me on the phone and harassed me and called me a liar and then a day later they came knocking on my door unannounced. I call that scare tactics. |I won't use them or rate them again.

Description of Work: Was able to schedule a service date within days of the call. They were running ahead of schedule and called to inquire if it would be ok to arrive about an hour earlier. This was great timing for me and it worked out very well. The crew was courteous and pointed out a concern of cracks in the chimney they found during outside inspection and showed it to us. Did a great job inside cleaning the chimney. Were efficient, thorough, and spoke with us in detail about what all was inspected and the results of their findings. They suggested recommendations without promoting or pressuring for additional services. An overall great experience with the company.

 + 3 moreWe were pleased with the work overall. The gas logs will be nice this winter. The company kind of works on its own schedule, but the overall project turned out nice.
Description of Work: We had a new chimney cap (crown) installed for $385. Several holes in the brick work were tuck pointed for $300. The job turned out well with the holes filled and the new mortar matching the old. A Lennox gas fireplace log set was also installed for 629.00 + $52 tax.

 + -1 moreEverything was fine. I called them one afternoon. He came out and took a look. He came back the next morning with the bricks and built a mail box by 5 o'clock in the evening. He did a good job. I spent $475 for the job. I will use them again in the future.

When I told them I wanted a second opinion for "something another company told me that didn't make sense", one of them asked, "Did he want to sell you a lining, and was it a particular company?" I said yes, but it was a different company. He quickly looked up the fireplace, then went outside to get on the roof. He quickly came down and said it was too dirty to know if the lining was torn. Again, quickly, he said the other company didn't do a very good job of cleaning and he could do it for $200. I had no reason to doubt his honesty, but he seemed to wait for me to make a decision about letting him clean it. I told him the previous company did acknowledge the chimney was very difficult to clean and couldn't get all the creosote off, and I would have to speak to my spouse first. The two men also opened my gate without my knowledge which was a problem in itself, but when they did so, I had to run out and catch my dog before he bolted out the open gate. I recommended they notify the homeowner if they were going to open their gates.
