Came out the same day and completed the work quickly.

Everything went great. Company was very responsive. Everything was accomplished in a very timely manner.

They called when they were on their way so I went home to let them in. Four guys and 30 min later and I was headed back to work. Very friendly, left no mess and super fast. Will hire again.

They did a very good job. There wasn't dust all over the house or anything. They had a vacuum that they stuck up the chimney. I would hire them again. They showed up on time and were very professional. They knew what they were doing. That's all you can ask. They did the work. This wasn't a big chimney or anything. I don't know of any improvements. They stuck their tool up there and went to cleaning. They had a vacuum they stuck up there with it. There wasn't' any dust or debris. They cleaned up anything that fell. They did a good job. The price was average compared to others.

Took weeks to get them to come out. Cost $145 for the man to look at a fan for 10 min and tell me it was working but not good enough. He said he would look at the floor model and get back to me the next day. Did not get a call. I called the company and was told I would definitely get a call back Monday. No call. I called back Wednesday and finally got a call back that afternoon. His response was to just add a new fan of the same size and an apology because he had forgotten all about us. Since he forgot about us, I think it's a safe assumption that he did not look into any way to fix our heat output, instead just to replace what we already had that wasn't working. This all after we trusted their recommendation for the woodburning fireplace we bought and had installed by them. After doing some research, we purchased a fireplace too small for the area we need heated. Will not do business with them again.

They were on time and immediately removed their show before entering the house. The work was professional and the installation went very well. They showed us how everything worked and said that if we had any issues at all to call 24 hours a day. We are very pleased with the quality of the gas logs and the attitude of the family owned and operated company.

Arrived as scheduled. Performed the necessary work in a friendly manner. Have previously used them for service and purchased gas logs from them. Always a good experience.

I visited their store about two years ago. I was in the middle of building a house and was looking for information. They were very nice and took the time to answer all my questions. When I had accumulated enough money I went back, bought my wood burning stove and they had it installed within 2 weeks even though their schedule was full. I can't wait to build my first fire! Also-just saw the weather for next week. Thursday's low is 18 degrees! I'm going to be toasty. Randy and his installation crew are just the nicest guys and they clean up after themselves too. I highly recommend American Chimney.

Randy, Jeff and Christian were wonderful, friendly and new exactly what they were doing. They had it installed pretty quickly, at least I thought, then even asked us if we needed anything else done, and proceeded to help us with some other things as well. I couldn't ask for nicer people to work in my home, nor a nicer looking, efficient fireplace. I would call them for anything.

Everything went well and we are very happy with the professional job they did.

Randy & the other gentleman that came were professional & curtious. Fast efficient & told us that we needed,had a small issue to be fixed at roof cap, possibly due to all the quakes. Very good customer service & and explained what needed to be done. Will use American Chimney again.

The workers were polite and professional.

We saw this company's workers on our street working on a neighbor's brick repair, and stopped to ask if they could add brick planters to our brick mailbox with spare brick that we had. They agreed and showed up the next day, did the job and thoroughly cleaned up the site and street next to the site with a water house, including taking the leftover brick back to the place where they were stacked before. They did a great job on the planters, they look like they've always been there with the mailbox, perfectly spaced and level. I would definitely recommend them for this type of job!

Scheduling was easy, office personnel was helpful. Provider arrived on time, had materials to keep the home clean while they worked, gave appropriate advice, worked efficiently.

During the prievious week we made an appointment (with a woman named Christie) with AMERICAN CHIMNEY and MASONRY to come out to our home and conduct yearly safety maintenance and cleaning on both our Brick and Gas Fireplace. On the day of the appointment and individual named Jeff called us at 10:40 and stated he would be there in 20 minutes. At that time we left work and came home to be there upon his arrival. Approximately at 11:12 minutes he [Jeff] called and stated he refused to come. He was rude and unprofessional stating that the Gas Fireplace wasn't installed correctly and stated that we should use the individual who orginally installed the fireplace. This was a balded faced lie as the fireplace had been installed by a certified factory trained distributor. We asked him to come and at least look at the fireplace as the individual that installed the gas fireplace was deceased and his company shut down and that is why we had called his firm and that the problem was within the firebox and a cauking seal needed to be fix and that was all. He again refused and became rude and hung up. We called the company, and again talked to Christie, to try to find out what was the problem and she was equally unsatisfactory and did not give an explanation. We asked to speak to the owner...to date he has yet to call us back with a proper explanation. Our dealings with AMERICAN CHIMNEY and MASONRY have been strictly negaitive and we would not recommend them to anyone at anytime. If they [AMERICAN CHIMNEY and MASONRY] cannot meet their committments that they themselves freely made then they should get out of business and stay out. Because of this incident they do not deserve the rating of A...but F. WP

Cleaned my chimney promptly after I called. Sold me a fireplace insert and installed it with no problems.

They noticed moisture inside the chimney when cleaning and advised the additional treatment.

It went very well. I thought I was looking at a complicated fix for a gas fireplace that is over 15 years old and hasn't worked in 2 years. Jeff quickly found the problem was a dirty gas nozzle clogged up with dog hair. He even showed me how to clean it if it happened again. Price was exactly what was quoted over the phone. The fireplace worked flawlessly for Christmas.

They were very unresponsive. My contractor called the person who was to come look at our fireplace and not only did he not show up but he also hung up on my contractor. No matter how busy a business might be a little courtesy goes along way and they lacked that attribute.

The technician arrived on time and was very polite while he was working. He took the time to explain what he was doing and what I needed to do the ensure that when I do use the fireplace that I am safe. I really appreciated the time he took to explain everything. If I were to have any issues in the future I would call this company back.

Everythning was OK except they tried to charge $10 more than was quoted over the phone.

I had water leaking through the mortar between the bricks to the right of the fireplace firebox. I got up on the roof to check and to cover the chimney. I found that the chimney crown (the mortar covering the brickwork at the top of the chimney) was cracked and part of it above the area of the leak was missing. I covered the chimney with a tarp. I called American Chimney and Masonry based on Angie's List reviews and their nearby location. The young lady who answered the phone took my name and number. She told me that Randy would call to schedule a visit to look at the chimney. Randy didn't call, but showed up the following afternoon to look at the chimney. I explained the problem. He looked at the chimney. He explained the work they would do and the price. I asked when the work could be done. Randy replied, and quot;Tomorrow.and quot; I gave him the go-ahead. Randy and his helper showed up at about 12:30 the following afternoon. They made a form out of 1x4's and 2x4's. The 2x4's were cut to length and went around the top of the chimney brickwork with the wide side against the bricks. The narrow sides of 2x4's were even with the tops of the bricks. The 1x4's were nailed to the outside of the 2x4's so that the 1x4's extended about an inch above the narrow side of the 2x4's. They then mixed up several buckets of concrete. These were carried to the roof, dumped onto the chimney, and troweled into place. The work was completed at about 2:30. They packed up their gear and left, telling me that they would return in 3 days to remove the form. Three days later, shortly after lunch, they returned. They put concrete sealer on the chimney crown and removed the form. I wrote them a check and they departed. I then got on the roof to take a close look at the work. The crown now looks substantial. The original looked like it was slapped together just to use up the mortar left over from building the chimney. We have had several heavy rainstorms since the work was done. There are no signs of rain getting into the chimney brickwork.

They came on time and did what they were supposed to do. Their prices were reasonable. They explained everything to me.
