Doug's Appliance Repair have been good. They're on time and here when they said they'd be. They were reasonable in price.

He came out right away. He was very professional. He knew what he was doing. I would use them again.

We had Doug work on our dishwasher. The arm on the dishwasher was not turning. He showed up on time, went right to work, and was able to fix our dishwasher extremely fast. He repaired the bearings and the arm was good as new. Since the repair was a small one, he did some "maintenance" work on the dishwasher he spotted for free, which cleared the arm spouts, made the racks move smoother and talked to us about the detergent we were using that was causing unnecessary buildup in our machine. He was really nice and his prices were more than fair.

I called Doug on Monday, April 22, 2013 to schedule a repair to my clothes dryer. He said he could come on Wednesday, April 24, between 9 and 11. He called about 10:30 and said he could not make Ii but would be here between 2 and 4 pm. He didn't show up or call by 4 pm. It was after 5 when he called and said he couldn't make it that day but could come the next day. When I asked what time he said about 12 or 1. I told him he had already put me off for 2 days and I didn't feel like I could depend on him to show up and I would find someone else I also told him I did not consider him an "A" contractor and would be writing a review for Angie's list. I cannot comment on the quality of his work because he did not keep his appointments.

Doug went to my rental property, triaged the problem, returned the next day and repaired the refrigerator. The estimate was $400.00 and the bill came in at $350.00. The repairs were done in a timely and professional manner.

Doug replaced the seal on our front loading washing machine. He arrived during the time which he stated and came with the correct part to fix the washer. He replaced the seal in a short amount of time and was neat in his work. We will definitely use him again.

Called Doug early in the morning to fix my refrigerator and he showed up as scheduled and in 30 minutes troubleshoot and everything was back up and working. Great Job.

Excellent in communication and service

it went excellent. I called for repair. He gave a time and day within two days and kept to his schedule. Did not take him long to figure out the problem and had parts on truck to repair in timely mannner.

They were good and had no complaints about them. I would recommend them to other members.

Very satisfied with work performed. I called another repairman first, they never returned my calls. Doug's Appliance repair was prompt in returning my calls, making the service call and the repairs.

On Thursday May 24th called and requested an appointment be set up to fix a dish washer. We were called back the next day and an appointment was set up for the next Monday May 28th. That appointment was canceled and changed to Wednesday May 30th at 12 noon. I could not be there but my wife and adult son stayed home for the appointment. When I arrived home at about 5 PM that day no one had come or called. I called Doug's Appliance Repair and reached a male and told him what was going on and he said he would call Doug and have him call me. I asked if he had my number and he said yes( from caller ID). We never heard back that evening or after that day. Changing the appointment was understandable and not a problem but being stood up and calling and then not getting a return call was totally unprofessional. A call of any kind about being over booked or even not being able to take another customer would have not been good but at least the right thing to do. Ironically we had a second appliance we decided to have fixed and would have asked for a second repair which would have been additional business for this company. Now we have no trust in this company and feel this lack of professional behavior says stay away.

They were prompt and cleaned up everything when they finished the job. They gave us different options for repairs. They were very professional.

After being out of town for over a week, I noticed on Wednesday 3/21 a refrigerator full of spoiled food. It was not cooling. I was referred to Doug's by another Angies List provider that was too busy to help in a timely manner. The person I spoke to on the phone that night, very close to 5pm, was very helpful and diagnosed my problem over the phone. Unfortunately, they were also very busy and could not get out to help me until Friday the 23rd (between 11-1). Appointment was set. I would love to give them an A in every category, however they were so busy no one showed up until after 2 on Friday. When I called at 11:30, I was told they were "on the way" and would be there in 30 minutes. When I called back at 1:30 I was told the same thing. Busy guys. It's ok. I was fortunately able to move around my appointments that day. Anyways, when they got there, they dismantled my fridge and found the issue. There was a solenoid that manages the defrosting of the cooling unit for the whole unit. It had failed, and the cooling unit had frozen over, not allowing any passage of air to cool the refrigerator. Unfortunately, Doug's didn't have the unique part on hand. So, a final solution was not available. However, the cooling unit was defrosted, and function of the refrigerator was returned. A new appointment for Monday 3/26 was set. The refrigerator worked great all weekend. On Monday Doug's showed up perfectly at the appointed time, with the part in hand, and fixed my refrigerator in about an hour. It should be noted that they REFUSED ANY PAYMENT ON FRIDAY. "You owe me zero. It's not fixed yet." On Monday, once fixed, I was charged about $150.00, $44 for the part. ONE SERVICE CHARGE. I am ecstatic with this company. Will most assuredly use again.

Doug came out on a Saturday before thanks giving. It was late and we had family coming to stay on Sunday. ould recommend.

My washer quit working on Sunday night. I called Doug's at 0700 Monday morning, got voice mail, left a message, they called back in a few minutes. I told them my Maytag washing machine quit working and asked if they could come out at 1 o'clock. They came out, found the problem (bad switch), had a replacement part on the truck, changed out the switch, and had it running again...all in less than an hour. I thought the $120 charge was reasonable for their service.

They did a good job repairing my dishwasher and I would use their services again if needed.

They could have repaired it, but I opted not to. They were very good. I dropped it off because it would have cost me more, if they came out. I loaded it, and I took it in. They evaluated it, and I made an option, as it would work using cable; but HDMI was burnt out. I chose not to replace HDMI; but they could have done that. It would work fine off the cable, so I gave it to my son at college. The price was good. I just had a service call. They took it in and checked it.

The repairman came out within a couple of hours after I called. He was courteous and knowledgeable. He gave us an estimate as soon as he inspected the ovens and was able to order the parts for installation in two days. He came back with another gentleman with the parts which had arrived precisely on tim. They carefully removed the ovens from very tight cabinetry without any damage to the cabinets . It took about 30 minutes in all for the removal of the ovens and installation of the boards and fuse. Again they were efficient, courteous and pleasant in their dealings with us.

The first time, they cleaned out a drain line on my disposal unit, and the second time, they double-checked something on my washing machine. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The price he charged us was very reasonable. He came to our home and he was very professional. He had the parts available and took care of the problem the same day. We called him back.

They did quality work and they were responsive.

Doug was delayed, but he did call to reschedule. That's a plus because most people won't call. He performed his work efficiently and charged a reasonable price. My husband and I were very happy and will call Doug again.

It went very well. They were effecient, on time, and I thought the charge was very reasonable.
