Excellent job over all. David expertly inspected a distressed property, coordinated with the termite inspector, and finished the job quickly and efficiently. Would definitely hire again.

New to the Tulsa area and a first time homebuyer. Saw David was highly rated on Angie's List, so I looked at his website and contacted him through Angie's List messaging system to see about pricing/availability relatively late in the evening. He contacted me around 8 a.m. the next morning, which I appreciated because I didn't know if the Angie's List messaging system would actually work or if I would have to call. I needed the inspection done relatively quickly and David had an opening. He scheduled the termite inspection for me. We had the inspection done the day after that. He showed up early and had already gotten started by the appointment time. It was my first time dealing with a home inspector, but I felt comfortable with David throughout the process because of his professionalism. He wasn't slick or patronizing. As a young woman, I appreciated that. Although my husband is an architect and looked over the house when it was shown to us, we wanted a professional inspector's take on the house as well. Turns out, the house had a substantial amount of defects that were not obvious and would have made closing on the house at the price were under contract for a terrible financial move. We ended up having to terminate the contract because the sellers would not negotiate. Buying a home is a tricky process and everyone is out for themselves. My point is, I felt like the only person that stood up for the truth was David, which helped us avoid making a huge financial mistake that we wouldn't have otherwise known we were making. As my dad said (who was also present at the inspection), "This guy is into it." I will use him again when we find another home in the near future. The only problem I had, if you can call it that, was that David told me over the phone that the termite inspection would be $105 (because of the size of the home) and he charged me $115. There was probably some sort of miscommunication, and I don't consider it a big deal.

David lived up to all his positive reviews on Angie's List. He was easy to reach, he arrived when he said he would, and he was extremely thorough. The home we are going to purchase is a 1928 home that had the electrical and plumbing redone. David made a point to ensure, to the best of his ability (without tearing a hole in the wall or floor), that the newer work was done to code and that the older work (foundation, supports, mortar etc) was solid.. In addition he pointed out safety hazards in the home that didn't have to be corrected but he provided scenarios as to why we would want to correct the hazards. He also arranged for a termite inspection which completely slipped my mind. He was very prompt in submitting his final report and it was so thorough that I felt very comfortable with our decision to purchase. I would definitely recommend David and Basis Inspections.

The inspector returned my call promptly to set the inspection appointment and was very receptive to my needs regarding scheduling. He was already at the house when I arrived. He was very thorough, and answered all my questions, which were many due two some unique issues with the house. In the end, I decided not to purchase the house, and I feel he saved me a lot of trouble and expense in the future. I am continuing to look for a house, and plan to have him inspect it before the final purchase.

The overall inspection went rather well. David several things that were even a shock to the previous owner. Including a previous fire in the home as well as damage to the in the crawl space that required repair.

David worked with my schedule, was professional, and provided the report in a very timely manner.

David was very punctual, and incredibly detail-oriented. He methodically went over every aspect of the property, and picked up many things that we missed reviewing the house ourselves. At the end of his inspection, he orally reviewed his findings with us, and then sent us a complete detailed report the next day. Without a doubt, he has been the best home inspector I've every hired!

David was very friendly, punctual, and thorough. We will use him again for any future inspections and recommend him to friends and family. He explained things to me as he worked, sent the report the same day, and answered any questions I had.

He explained what he was going to do and then did it. He even came into the bathroom when he first got there because i had concerns about possible fungus and water damage behind the shower wall. David was early and very professional. He found out some important things that we had no idea about and had some of our suspicions confirmed. He was very thorough and took his time. He courteously dealt with our questions and concerns.

Scheduled inspection for new home construction for March 31 at 1:30pm. I arrived at the house around 1:00pm. David Wigger, Basis Inspection, was already at the house and had started inspecting the exterior. David was very methodical and detailed in his inspection. I could tell that he was very experienced and professional. He pointed out deficiencies and made recommendations. The final walk through with the builder was scheduled for the following day. David finished his inspection around 3:30 that afternoon and told me he would finish his report and email it to me by 9am the next day in time for my walk through. I received David's report by 9:00am as promised. I used David's summary as a punch list and gave it to the builder's rep. I would recommend Basis Inspections to anyone looking for a licensed home inspector.

I was really impressed with the service I received. David was on time and did a thorough review of all of the items in the condo. He sent the inspection document the same day. He took the time to go through everything to be found and made sure that I understood what he was recommending or documenting for the inspection. I really feel like I got a good, detailed inspection at a great price. I would definitely use him again for any inspections that I need. I also would not hesitate to refer my friends or family to Basis Inspection.

Inspector David Wigger (Owner) arrived on site as scheduled, preformed the inspection and answered all questions ask about the inspection and what was required to cure the conditions identified. A report was provided by e-mail within a couple of hours and followed up with a copy mailed to my home address. I would judge the report to be very comprehensive and informative about the condition of the premises inspected. All communications and actions were very professionally handled and from my initial call to inspection compleation.

We used David for our home inspection and he was very helpful. We even had some issues with access to a certain part of the house which caused delays in the inspection and David waited around until it was accessible. It was a good thing to because we ended up finding a big issue. We received our inspection report the next day and everything was very detailed. We will be using his services again once the repairs have been made. This is our first time buying a house and he made the inspection process very easy.

I was very satisfied and would highly recommend his services. I chose Basis Inspections because of the reviews I read on Angie's list and I am happy to give them another glowing review.

This is the 6th home purchase and David Wigger with Basis Inspection is the best home inspector I've ever used! He' s very professional and a great communicator - told me exactly what was going to happen and then did it as described. He was always on time and very responsive and even sent me the inspection reports by early afternoon on the same day as the inspection! He was gracious enough to let me 'tag along' with him through the inspections, showing me what was wrong and even gave me tips on what could be done to facilitate repairs. He is extremely knowledgeable about construction and willing to share that knowledge in a way that was easy for me to understand. I'm fairly new to the area and so asked him for vendor recommendations and have been very pleased with the work and professionalism of the vendors he's recommended. My new home is one of the biggest purchases and largest investments I will ever make and having someone like David Wigger on my side and steering me in the right direction gave me an incredible sense of peace of mind. I really appreciate all he did and can't thank him enough!!!

This was my first "home inspection". David was amazing! He was on time (actually there even before me), and very professional. He didn't seem to mind me sort of follow him around and ask questions - and he was very patient with explaining things to me. He was extremely thorough with the inspection (even though there was a lot of home to inspect he was thorough to the end and never appeared to be bothered he still had more to go!) and brought up things I had never even thought about. He pointed out alot of things in the home (it's an older home) that may need to be updated, etc and what to look for later on down the road as well. I received the inspection report a few hours later and after reading through the entire thing (43 pages including multiple pictures to help explain what/where the problems were) I definitely am pleased with his work and would recommend to everyone!

BASIS conducted the pre-purchase inspection of our first home. I would not hesitate to refer David to any of my friends. He was so thorough in his inspection, the seller's realtor even asked me "where I found this guy?" He is extremely knowledgable about building and electrical codes. David's post inspection report is thorough and easy to read. My wife and I used him again for our post repair inspection. Hands down one of the best vendors my wife and I used during the home buying process.

David was punctual, professional, and very detailed in his analysis of the home. He provided a great deal of usable information in a very detailed (approx. 45pg) report with color pictures as well as explanations of the issues found. For each issue, he provided a description of why each item was an issue, and the level of urgency of the repair. David also followed up with a phone call providing additional explanations and time for me to ask any questions I had about the report. David's report found numerous issues a home buyer like myself would not have found. These issues, some larger than others, would have cost a great deal more than the inspection to repair. I would not hesitate to use David's services in the future, and will be recommending him to any potential home buyers I encounter. There were three home inspections done on the house, a skimpy one by HUD, one ordered by the mortgage company and the one we had done by Basis. The Basis inspection done by David was the most through and complete of the three inspections. David uncovered problem areas and safety issues the other two missed completely. By having the Basis inspection we avoided any surprises and we were able to get repair estimates that helped with the final decision to purchase the home. The report has been extremely helpful in making preventative maintenance repairs that will avoid major work later. We will use them for our next home inspection.

Basis Inspections did a wonderful job inspecting my first purchased home. With the inspection I got a detailed report that explained the ratings (Acceptable, Marginal, Defective and Hazardous) and why it was given that rating. If non-acceptable ratings an explanation was given and what to do to fix it. Pictures of the defects were also included. I would use Basis for my next home.

David was great! He came right out and spent a few hours on the inspection. His report was concise and detailed. He included photos of everything and rates them in terms of acceptable, defective, hazard, etc. He then summarizes the findings at the end of the report. I was especially impressed by that; it enables me to just hand the report to a contractor with his "action items" identified and that helps with estimates. He was very thorough and even referred me to a coupon on Angie's List for one of the trades he knew I needed as well as referring me to another great company who had done work for him on his own rental properties. I highly recommend him.

David was awesome. He was very thorough and he took time to explain what he saw and giving us advice on fixes we could do ourselves. He was patient, knowledgeable, willing to teach, and honest. I believe he had done some research before even showing up at the house, which impressed me. His 26 page report included pictures (a far cry from the 1 page checklist the inspector for our current house prepared). David delivered exactly what I wanted from the inspection: I just wanted to know everything that we were dealing with before we made the biggest purchase of our lives. We were working under a time crunch to get the inspection done within the 10 days (with Labor Day holiday, etc), but I felt really comfortable that David would do a good job based on the other Angie's List reviews & wanted to have him do our inspection. He worked with us to find a time that would work, though I know it put a lot of pressure on him. He actually arrived a little early since the appointment in the time slot before us cancelled & he got right to work. He was definitely an advocate for us. I cannot stress how important it is for a homebuyer to hire someone that will work for you and not worry about anyone else (i.e. realtors wanting to close the deal). We feel so much more comfortable about purchasing this house as a result of David's inspection. We actually already referred him to a friend who is also buying a house, and they were equally impressed with David.

Basis was fantastic. Our last inspector missed a lot of basic issues, so we were very picky this time. We joined Angie's List specifically for information on inspectors, especially as we were buying from out of town and could not attend the inspection. Basis had great reviews, and we now know why. They meticulously review the entire 2,700 sq ft home. The inspection was on the long side (3-4 hours), but the detailed report with photos and descriptions was superb. Most important to us, the inspector crawled through the crawl space (and found several issues) and got into every nook in this older home (built 1930s). Because they were so thorough, we were able to ask the sellers to fix some significant issues before we bought the house, including a structural beam in the crawl space, guttering issues causing water to come into the basement, and several electrical wiring issues. Best of all, Basis was cheaper than the alternative suggested by our Realtor. So Angie's List already saved us money and ensured we got a great inspector.

He was definitely a big buyer's advocate and was very through and professional. The prices were at or below market, so it was an excellent service for the price. I would strongly recommend him. He was extremely responsive, I got a very detail inspection report the same day with lots of pictures for reference.

David is very thorough. He is very knowledgeable. He had very simple explanations for basic repairs. I was most impressed with the quality of the report documentation. He gave me a PDF with photos, descriptions, and explanations. He went as far as to rate these items with a severity level. I would certainly use this company again, and would recommend to anyone seeking a professional/honest inspection.
