David A. Wigger (proprietor) is very honest and through home inspector that involves 'you' during/throughout the process and gives candid and helpful feedback options.

David did an excellent job doing my home inspection. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He came on time, he never wasted a minute. His report was very detailed, which it was a key for moving the process forward and getting all the repairs done quickly. He answered all my questions and concerns. One more thing, David is really easy to get hold of; he is very busy man but he always answered his phone and replayed very quickly to my emails and I really appreciate that. I will definitely hire him again.

There are so many major mistakes in the report that it's almost suspicious. The house was built new in 2016. He claimed there were several issues with it: A/C evaporator not drained properly/not to code. Bathroom light fixture not appropriate for the area/not to code. Soffits (I'm assuming he meant soffit vent) blocked with insulation. Under sink water filter maintenance required. Roof "may show evidence of past or present leaks or may soon develop leaks." Gutters/downspouts require maintenance. Etc. He did find a few items that needed to be fixed (one extra star for that): A mortar joint in the brick exterior needed to be filled. The driveway apron was poured a little too far into the road and is chipping where it overlaps. Whether flashing is required for siding that is completely covered by a roof or not is debatable. I was alarmed by the report when I received a copy and immediately called the builder. I'm not sure why he uses such extreme terms in his reports. After thoroughly reading the report, talking to the builder and double checking his claims, we concluded BASIS should not be in the home inspection business. Other than the items mentioned above that needed attention, he was completely incorrect about the condition of my house. I even got the city inspector involved. (If these were legitimate issues, they would be covered by the builder's warranty and the city inspector would not have let is pass). The house is built to code. The HVAC system is 100% correctly installed, the light fixture in the bathroom is rated for the area, there is no insulation blocking the soffit vent (while it may appear so when standing in the attic, if you look closely, there are ducts that run down to the soffit vent so that you can have insulation around the vents/ducts. I checked from the exterior and spot checked a few from the attic with a bore scope), the water filter had just been replaced a month ago, as indicated by the "changed on" date sticker on the filter, and the description of the condition of the gutters/downspouts was so vague I didn't even know where to look. It appears BASIS has no working knowledge of IRC or NEC and uses alarmist terminology like "HAZARD" and "non-professional work" on a whim without grounds for it. The report was so misleading that it almost seemed made up or copy and pasted from a past report. I'd be very wary of hiring him to inspect any home.

We will never use a home inspector other than David Wigger with BASIS Inspections. He pre-inspected our home before we listed it for sale, and inspected our new home for purchase. He is thorough, friendly, and addresses all questions or concerns throughout the inspection. We cannot recommend him enough for your home inspection needs.

David Wigger, is great! Was spot on time. Each step of the inspection was explained in a understandable way. I did not feel as if I was being over talked to, or under talked to. Each area was explained as we were going on, he also pointed out what he was looking for, or in some cases what he is not looking for. He offered his opinion on some matters, and imparted his knowledge on some of the finer points of the inspection. The report he submitted was great, explained what needed to be corrected. All I can really say is if I need a re-inspection or if I have another home purchases I know I will do business with David again!!

Excellent. Mr. Wigger was very thorough and knowledgeable. He took his time and did not rush the inspection. He answered all my questions during the inspection. He timely (within a day) provided me with a very detailed, organized, and explanative inspection report complete with photos he had taken. Extra touches like including photos of the HVAC informational date plates were included in the report for my easy reference. Again, very thorough and excellent job.

David was knowledgeable, nice, professional and very detailed in his inspection. He found a leaky hotwater tank. If something did seem right, he would ask questions until he got the answers.

Dave arrived on time and and completed the inspection 1.5 hours later. It was very thorough, very. Dave answered all my questions and gave a recommendation on whether or not it was necessary to do a structural inspection, a major concern of mine. In this case it wasn't. This is the 2nd time I have used Dave for a home inspection, and both times the experience was great. He is quite professional, respectful of the property and I can fully trust his opinion. (I found that out the first time.) You can't go wrong using Basis Inspections, LLC. I wouldn't hesitate for one second to recommend him.

David is extremely detailed and very professional. He thoroughly inspected virtually every aspect of our home and produced an extremely detailed written summary with colored pictures which we referenced to correct any/all major home electrical/mechanical/structural deficiencies. David was extremely personable and very knowledgable. He wasn't cheap but as a home buyer I was glad we paid the price for his professional service given the detailed/professional results.

Home inspection was very, very thorough and also included an excellent termite inspection by affiliated professional. Quite patient in explaining things to me. The accompanying termite inspection was good as well. I will be using Dave again. By the way, he was recommended to me by my realtor AND I read the positive reviews about him on Angie's List. That convinced me to go with him and I am extremely pleased I did.

I hired David for the inspection of a brand new property that I have bought in Tulsa. I live in NY and was moving to Tulsa and needed someone I could trust without having to be present at the inspection. I trusted the reviews here and hired him. No regrets! I gave him the address online, arranged for my realtor to let him into the house and within 24 hrs had a multi page report with detailed pictures and suggested remedies. My seller wasn't happy but that's what you want as a buyer! Prompt communication(didn't have to call/text, everything was via Angie's platform), flexible and accommodating, excellent working knowledge. If I had to hire again, I would without any hesitation. No hassles whatsoever, can't ask for a better experience.

I am planning to buy the house I live in and I hired David to do the home inspection. David did an amazing job and found all kinds of issues that I wasn't aware were wrong (even though I have been living in the house). He was on time, professional, thorough, and gave me a detailed report that was easy to understand with pictures and recommendations for repairs. And he got me the report by the end of the day of the inspection!! I really cannot say enough good things about David. I would highly recommend him for a home inspection and will use him every time I buy a home in the future. He probably saved us close to $2,000 in repairs that the owner of the house will now be taking care of.

David walked through the entire house and explained everything to us. As first-time homebuyers, we were clueless on many aspects of home construction and maintenance. He took time outside to not only point out areas of concern, but long term things to watch for that are specific to the property. Inside he took time to puzzle out modifications in the house that had been made over the years: which air conditioning units worked in which part of the house. He emailed us his report, complete with photos the same afternoon as the inspection. I would highly recommend BASIS for anyone buying a house.

David Wigger did an exceptional, very thorough job inspecting the home I was about to purchase. Not only did he provide detailed descriptions and photographs of concerns that he had, he also explained them to me in layman's terms. In my opinion, he left no stone unturned. He also was available to answer any questions that I had via telephone or email after he finished the inspections. He even inspected the repairs that the structural engineer had requested and found them to be not up to par. He went the extra mile and explained his concerns to the structural engineer about what he had noticed under the house. And because of his concerns, the structural engineer reinspected the repairs and made adjustments based on David's recommendations.

I am in the process of buying a new home. I was originally quoted $675 from another company who couldn't perform the inspection for several days. I called David and he was able to come out much sooner and for less. David is very polite and courteous. HIs inspection was very thorough and was not rushed. He made recommendations on how to go about repairing or properly maintaining certain aspects of the home. I didn't get a sense that he was just trying to help sell the house for the realtor as other companies I've observed tend to do. I would defiantly recommend him to anybody who is in the market to buy a new house.
