trotter overhead door was very prompt. they came out when they said they would and even though they were late on the day of install, they called to let my mom know what was going on. the garage door was installed quickly and works great. worth every penny to her. would definately use them again!

Call in to service was pleasant. Many questions were asked in order to determine what type of problem it may be. Appointment was given for two days out (I was unavailable the next day). Technician called before coming out, arrived at the beginning of the service window given. Quickly determined the problem and fixed it. Total time here was less than 30 minutes. Also reprogrammed the keypad. Very knowledgable and professional.

I had visited the showroom the day before to purchase 2 torsion springs to replace my spring that broke over the weekend. They told me the size I needed based on the pictures I had taken and the description of my door. They also gave me some very helpful information for the install since I was doing it myself. I comleted the service myself yesterday morning and had the garage door working well, at least I thought it was. It was opening and closing just fine for me during the day. Last night when I closed the garage for the night, the door was lower on one side and the wheels came off the track so the door was hanging down on one side. I spent the next hour working to get the door down so I could get it working again. I repeated everything I had done earlier in the day and thought it was fixed until I open and closed it again. It did the exact same thing it did earlier. So, I decided that I would go ahead and call someone to replace the whole door since the hail storm in May put a few dents in it and insurance paid to replace it. This morning I went back to the showroom and told the guys what happened. I also told them I wanted to go ahead and purchase a new door and have it installed. They said that they were a couple weeks out on installs, and asked if I would like a service man to come by and get it working for me. Since I need to get in and out of the garage I agreed. They said they could get someone to my house within a couple of hours to take a look at it and take some measurements. The service man spent about 45 minutes fixing the problem and getting the door aligned properly. He also gave me some good suggestions on upgrades and also showed me how to maintain the door to make it last longer. The door now works better and is quieter than it has been in years. Now I can put off the door replacement for a little longer until I have it in my budget.

Cheap price = Cheap service. In the end, after receiving the door from Trotter, their measurements WERE NOT CORRECT and they left me with the bill to have my installers make it fit properly. The one issue you'd expect a garage door company to get right is the size of the door they sell to their customers. The door I received from Trotter was too thick and did not fit my garage track correctly, thus my door would not shut. My installers then had to re-install the rails by cutting concrete and re-drilling new holes in my wall - Trotter refused to cover this mistake and made me pay to structurally alter my house to make their erroneous door fit. Needless to say, Trotter Overhead Doors literally closed the door to any of my future business. I say go with someone else.

My appointment was originally scheduled for the afternoon of 6/20/12. I was called after the scheduled time and informed they could not make it that day. I rescheduled for the same time on 6/22/12. I received a call early in the morning from the technician telling me he was on the way. I was surprised because the appointment was supposed to be in the afternoon. Fortunately I was home and did not have plans that morning, so I told him to come on over. I went out to mow the lawn while waiting for him to arrive. I got a call about 30 minutes later from the technician who told me he was at my house. I was standing in my front yard at the time so I told him he was most definitely not at my house. I asked the address where he was and looked up to see him across the street. Once he finally got here the repair went quickly. When it was time to pay, I showed a coupon I had gotten in a mailer after I scheduled the appt. He informed me that the coupon was from a different company that had an almost identical name. (Trotter Doors vs. Trotter Overhead Door? Who wouldn't think those were the same folks?!) According to the technician, their company was first. He said the other guys are estranged relatives trying to live off of the family name. When I checked the other Trotter's website, they say they've been around longer. It's too much drama for me...

Very professional. Showed us what was wrong and how we could correct it next time. (Even tried to tell us what to do over the phone!) Then because he was only here for a few minutes, was kind enough to only charge me for 1/2 a service call!!! YAY! Guess who is going to the top of my garage door repair list. Wish they repaired A/C units too - not having ANY luck with those guys! :-(

Another local (Norman) garage door place wanted to replace garage door and opener. Trotter just did the opener and dd not try to sell anything else. They were very responsive and came right away for a quote and then to install. There were minor issues with the sensitivity of the opener, and they came out to take care of it and the owner was very on top of the additional visit required. I was very happy with the experience.

I contacted Trotter on Thursday afternoon, they scheduled a service appointment for 7:30 am, Friday. The technician arrived a few minutes early, was very professional, listened to my description of the problem, observed the problem, and promptly repaired the problem. The technician was finished with the job and on his way in plenty of time for me to dial in to an 8:00 am meeting. I was very pleased with the prompt, professional service and the price.

We called Trotter due to noises that one our garage doors was making. The associate was punctual and professional. He was very through on describing what he had done as well as making suggestions on what we could do going forward.

Trotter was willing to come to my home at 7:30am so I would not miss work. Services were performed quickly and completely, with a few extras thrown in to make it the door as good as new. Three rollers replaced, door placed back on tracks and lubercated. Of the $88.00 fee, about $75.00 was for labor.

Called Trotter Overhead Door and asked how much it would cost to replace a broken garagge door spring. They gave me an estimate and I gave them approval to fix it. They were very accommadating in providing me a service time that I could work with. The technician arrived as scheduled. He was friendly and courteous and I found him very knowledgable. He was efficient but also showed care when making the repair. He inspected other parts of the door and lubricated moving parts. Trotter and the technician they sent out (J.D) exceeded my expectations. I will use them in the future!

My opener died on a Friday evening and by the next Monday I had a completely new functioning garage door opener. The technician was very fast and tidy with his work. He also did some other minor preventative maintenance on the door and told me how to care for the hinges to help prolong the life of the door itself (for free I would add). The only reason why I gave them a "B" overall is that I had to call to request a part be mailed to me that was out of stock when I purchased the door. The salesman on the phone told me it was out of stock when I made the appointment for the installation, but he assured me it would be mailed. About two weeks later, I had to make the call to find out why I hadn't received my paid for product. They said they are mailing the product to me.

Trotter Overhead Door was very efficient, the garage wouldn't open, they came out to the house quickly and got the door working for us.

I called in the morning and asked if they repair springs on garage doors. They said they did. They asked how big the door was.They were out that same day and on time. As long as they were were at our house, we had them replace the spring on our other garage door. They had all the parts on their truck and replaced both springs within an hour.

We recently purchased a home and when we moved in, we discovered that one of the large springs on the overhead garage door was broken. The door was also very noisy during operation. We called Jesse Trotter Overhead Door and they sent someone out the next morning. The tech arrived early and was very courteous and professional. He replaced the springs quickly and then suggested replacing the rollers to reduce the noise and improve operation. He also lubricated all the hinges and moving parts and gave me a quick rundown on the maintenance schedule I should be following in the future to keep the door operating smoothly. He also went over the options and costs of replacing/upgrading the door, and ways to seal/insulate the door. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and I would gladly recommend him to anyone who needs work done on their garage door. The price was reasonable and their response time was rapid. This work was done over a month ago, and I have not had any problems with the garage door and I am very pleased with the quality of their work.

The gentleman that came for the estimate was very nice and explained the varitey of doors we could chose from. The installer was nice and very efficient. It is a great door and we are very pleased with the service. The owner called the day after the estimate to verity our order and set up the install date. Great company, I would use them again.

The technician immediately diagnosed the problem as a broken spring and showed me where it was. He replaced the spring in less than thirty minutes.

Spring broke on Thursday evening. Called Friday at 2:50pm. They arrived by 3:30pm and were finished by 4:00pm. Very prompt, friendly, and professional. The representative thoroughly inspected the door itself and fully explained what was necessary, but did not try to sell more than we needed. He did recommend adding an additional spring as it would reduce effort required to open and act as a backup in case one failed. He also demonstrated some simple maintenance to keep the door as a whole in good shape.

It went great. They answered the phone and were courteous and professional. They showed up in 30 minutes and got two cables replaced on my garage door. The price was very reasonable.

"Jerry" was prompt, professional, knowledgable and friendly. Arrived at the midpoint of a two-hour window (didn't call as we asked, but a minor oversight), got to work within five minutes, completed the job in thirty and spent another quarter hour educating me in garage door opener dos and don'ts.

We had two companies estimate the cost of installing two new garage doors and one new garage door opener. Nathan from Trotter Overhead Door was more professional and came much more prepared to tell us what his company offered. He even had different types of hinges to show us what his company used. The other company did not. He also invited us to come to the company's showroom to see what they would install. When I asked the other company representative about where we could see what they planned to install, he told us to call the office for an address of where they had installed a new door or doors. Before I could even call the company's office, someone from there called to tell us that the wrong price had been quoted. When I asked her to see some doors they had installed, she could only come up with one address anywhere close to us--a place neither Mapquest nor Google could find. When we went to Trotter's showroom, we discovered that their product (though $100-$200 higher in cost than the other company's product) was superior and definitely worth the extra money. That's when we decided to go with Trotter. They scheduled us for installation just a few days later. The installers appeared right on time, and they finished the entire job in about two hours. The doors look beautiful, and the opener works great.
