It was good. They came to give me an estimation. With agreement they made an schedule. They were punctual. Fix it quick.

After reading several reviews, I decided to give Trotter a call. They answered the phone the first time I called, and said they'd have someone out within the hour. Nick and Lonnie showed up in less than 45 minutes. They evaluated the problem and repaired the door within about 30 minutes. They did a great job and I couldn't have been more pleased.

It went excellent. We will use them again.

Next available appointment was next day. Gave me an afternoon window. Called 20 minutes before they arrived. Two men arrived. One man worked on door; second man finished tightening second spring. They both checked all the components of the door system. Finished job in about 20 minutes. Seemed pricey as springs retail for $60 apiece and they charged $115 each. Residential service call was $149. Took a credit card. Told springs were guaranteed for life; labor was not. Overall, quality work, but price seems like almost twice as much as should be.

Did the work required. see above. Very pleased with the interaction with the techs. No pressure. again will call Trotter when we need a new door.

Made a Saturday service call and arrived on time. Technician was professional and curious and had the door back in order for a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

My garage door would "Sometimes" not close and therefore hard to diagnose any specific problem. I called Trotter, they came out on the same day, evaluated the situation and fixed 3 different things on the door. They also gave me advice about my particular opener to avoid using LED lights as they interfere with the signal.

We researched Angie's list to identify a contractor to assess our garage door. We scheduled a technician to visit with us approximately 22 Feb. The project scope consisted on replacing/repairing bottom trim on single door, and exploring options to replace double door. Donnie was able to repair the trim on the single door. Additionally, he stated there was a special on non-insulated double doors. I visited Trotter 20 Feb purchasing a double door for $617 to include tracks, and nylon rollers. The installation occurred 26 Feb. We were very pleased with our experience beginning with Donnie, Store rep (unable to recall name), and installers (Dee and company). I watched Dee and his colleague perform the removal of the old door, and installing the new one working as a team. They carefully paid attention to the requirements to install the garage door, and were personable taking time to answer my questions. We will look to employ Trotter Garage & Home again.

The service was very good....however, they had to come out and make adjustments and charged us an extra $200.00. The work was fine but we felt the price was too high considering the $200 to adjust their work.

JD was awesome. He arrived within an hour of my initial call, changed the springs and even checked the other door and found it was loose and tightened it up. He also lubed everything. Will definitely use them again.

Installation went well. Technician was on time and professional. Product does not work to my satisfaction. It will not program with the universal remotes in our vehicles. I called Trotter and they want me to contact my individual auto dealers. I think it is poor customer service to have to get a third party involved on their product. I wish I had my old openers back - we programed them without any issues and they worked for years. Actually, I wish I would of contacted an installer with better customer service.

Called for an estimate to replace a broken torsion spring on our standard 2-car garage door. A technician was scheduled for the next day and he arrived at the scheduled time. I had removed the broken spring and loosened the cable drums following the spring's failure with the anticipation of replacing/rewinding a new spring myself, but decided against it. Because of this, the technician phoned back to the office to see what the "new" installation charge would be since part of the work was already complete. I was surprised and impressed at the same time that he did this because he could have just charged me the standard install fee. His phone call saved me quite a bit of money and was very much appreciated. Trotter is a professional, courteous, and honest company that I would definitely hire again.

Initial service call was to replace a broken torsion spring. I had the service technician replace both springs. He arrived promptly, and was very courteous and friendly. I showed him the work I wanted done, and he checked the entire door and springs to make sure there wasn't anything else that needed to be fixed. He then told me exactly what work he would be doing, and gave me an estimate. He completed the work within an hour, showed me everything he had done, and provided me a copy of the job order and response. I decided to go ahead and replace the door, and a sales person came by the next day. He went over all the work they would do, found out what type of door I wanted, showed me the various features of the doors in their product line, and gave me a firm quote based on my choices. He told me the delivery from the factory would be two to four weeks, and took a down payment to cover the cost of the door order. Two weeks later, he called to tell me the door was shipped, and scheduled an installation appointment at my convenience. On the day of the installation, he called to tell me that the service techs were ready and on their way. The service techs arrived 30 minutes later, checked in with me, looked over the existing garage door, then told me exactly what work they were going to do, and started on the job. They installed the new garage door and a new door opener. They were courteous and friendly from the minute they arrived until they finished the job and left. When they finished the installation, they cleaned up the area, showed me the features of the door and opener, showed me what routine maintenance needed to be done, told me about the warranty, and gave me the owners manual for the opener and a copy of the job order, made sure all my questions were answered and that I was satisfied with their work before they left. They completed the job in under 3 hours. I am VERY satisfied with their work and the products provided.

The service person arrived on time. The service person immediately saw the problem, turned the screw to adjust the lift power on the current garage door opener, and then checked a couple of times to see that it is now working fine. He did not charge anything for this! I would highly recommend this company because he could have said, "the motor is weak and needs to be replaced", and I would not have known the difference! They are very honest, did show up on time and were very friendly and professional. Our other garage door opener is having some issues, and when it does stop working we are going to call them to replace it. In these days of hearing about all of the dishonest repair people, this company is not. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

This company came out quickly and did the work quick as well. There were no problems.

Repair person showed up during the time scheduled and described what the issues were. The he said how long it would take to complete it. Everything went as planned. He when the extra step and remove part of the base molding that was in the way of the door not closing downward. Finally, Trotter gave me, a member with Angie's list a $50 special coupon for repair serving which amounted to a 25% discount on this job. I was very satisfied.

They came out soon. I would give workmanship a d minus. Installation was not good at all. For example had to call them out 3 times to fix things that were not done & on the strips around door needed another nail or 2 so service man went to get air gun nailer. It would not work so he says. Oh well surely u can put one in & left. Of course it pulled away & we will have to fix. Bolts to hold down rails are just in sheet rock. Great product just bad service/installation

They were at my house on time. I was able to go to work and they called me when the work was completed. The only thing that was a negative, is Mr. Trotter told me they would put edging up to give it a complete and polished look; this hadn't been done. When I asked about it the gentleman said "it was" and then looked at the paper and said he forgot to bring the material. They were back the next day and compled the job. I wonder if I hadn't asked if the work would have been done.

Not to well. He came and got my garage door closed but said he couldn't do anything to really fix it. He wanted me to move things back from the garage in order to fix it but everything was way to heavy for either my husband or myself to do. now it is impossible since I can't get the door up. There is a lot of stuff there which my husband will not let me get rid of so now I am stuck with a lot of stuff in a very small space.

Michael, the service technician, was on time and was very helpful to explain what he was doing and why and the garage door opener worked well after he left. Time spent was about 45 minutes.

Received a message the morning after contacting them through angle's list, saying they could make it out that afternoon, with a rough time frame. Received a call later to let me know somebody was on the way. Repairs went well and the person was nice and professional. I didn't get an estimated cost before repairs, but I forgot to ask as well. I was given a check list with my receipt about parts of the garage door that was checked, with everything checked "concern" except for the repaired sections. However, it doesn't have any additional information about each issue or why there is a concern.

The technician showed up a bit early and did a fine installation job.

I have used Trotter in the past to install 2 garage doors and opener and have been very satisfied. I contacted them to repair the inside control panel. When setting up the appointment, I requested that I be called 30 minutes before they came out ? which I was not. The repairman who came out was very nice, said did not have the part and told me someone else would be out later that afternoon to install it. I specifically asked him to have the office call me before they came back out. 15 minutes later, I received a call from a girl in the office saying they didn?t have the part in stock and it would be the next week before they could come out. I told them I took off work to have this work done, and I would need to contact another company to come out. The girl on the phone asked me to give her 10 minutes before contacting someone else, and within minutes the same repairman shows up again at my home ? no phone call ahead of time, with the part. Luckily someone was home to let them in. I returned home shortly afterward and received the bill and I was charged $165.00 for the service call alone! This is totally out of line with the other companies around the city. When I called the office to question it, Vanessa basically told me that was their charge and acted like she didn?t care if I was going to be a returning customer or not. So if you are in need of overpriced service, give them a call.

Great customer service. Showed up on time and completed work timely at expected price.

Sam was a pleasure to speak with when calling in for service on my garage door and scheduled service for first thing the next morning. JD arrived promptly and identified and fixed the issue with my RPM switch in less than 5 minutes. He was kind, professional, and most importantly honest. He did not try and over-diagnose anything or recommend unecessary work, even though the door is 30 years old. Will continue doing business with Trotter. A++
