Sure Shot Pest and Weed Control

This is the second time I have used Sure Shot and I am very pleased again. Work was clean, prompt, and employees friendly.

They were recommended to us by Angie's List. It was a great recommendation. They are very customer focused and have good service. I have called them back to re-do something that wasn't correct. That was no problem because they stand by their work.

We were having siding put onto our house and the contractor found live termites one afternoon when pulling off some of the old wood. After looking through many of the companies listed in Angie's List, I settled on Sure Shot because of the quantity and quality of the reviews. I called them at 4:30 pm and explained the situation. Darin, the owner, called back very quickly and came out to the house that evening to determine what needed to be done and to provide an estimate. He was very professional and took the time to explain the services that they would do. The next morning, the technician arrived and started drilling. He arrived early and got most of it done before the contractors even arrived. I appreciated that they recognized that I needed the service done quickly so the other workers could proceed with their work. I will definitely use them for other pest problems as necessary, and will never hesitate to recommend them.

After reading all the positive reviews from Angie's List on Termite Extermination by Sure Shot, I decided to try their service. A Representative came out and gave me an estimate for their service. They were very helpful in describing what the procedures were and warranty. It was very reasonable, so I decided to use them.Promptly, the service began and ended within the time frame they estimated. They cleaned up any mess they made and were very courteous. I had some areas with clay tile that needed a 1/4 inch hole drilled into for pumping Termidor into and they made sure and drilled in the grout cracks and not damage the clay tile. Overall great experience with a great kill of all termites I had seen around a window.I would use them again and will use them for a termite inspection before selling my home. Expect the best and count on it happen!

I am really quite pleased with them. I was quite surprised. I thought he went above and beyond. When I think of what he went through to get to where he was spraying, I think it was fair. He cleans up after himself, he doesn't leave a mess and he makes sure he moves my animals food and water before he gets near it. Plus, he is adaptable. He was supposed to be there at 9:30am, and unfortunately I had something come up. I called him and he changed his appointment to the afternoon and he showed up exactly when he said he would. I signed an annual contract so I am going to continue to use him for a year.

As with a # of people who have already commented, the owner Darin was the representative who came for the initial visit. I had two issues, brown recluse spiders and termites I was seeking help with. Darin was on-time, his appearance and equipment were professional appearing, clean and well kept, his demeanor was pleasant and very business professional. After a brief discussion (we had already spoken on the phone the day before) he began working immediately, laying down the pesticide for the spiders. He worked quickly and efficiently and to the best of my knowledge, applied the chemical everywhere accessible and necessary even taking time to move things to make sure all the baseboard areas were covered . He had also already set up and started fogging (he referred to it as "Nuking") the attic. I was able to engage him with questions which he answered thoroughly and in understandable terms. He provided useful information related to the habits of the pests and offered suggestions for additional steps I could take to help eradicate the problem. After completing the chemical application, Darin turned his attention to the termite issue. He measured the home and inspected the area that had alerted us to the problem. He explained the process he and his crew would go thru (treatment was to be with Termidor with trenching and rodding around the home, drilled access to the exterior wall where the termites were seen and application of the poision) including issues of possible concern with pets and exposure. He then gave me an estimate that included the discount from the Angie's list coupon and presented me with possible dates the service could be completed. I explained that I was not able to pay the full amount immediately and Darin said he understood, shook my hand, gave me the information I needed to schedule the treatment at my convienience then collected for the chemical application. There were no high-pressure sales techniques applied, no scare-tactics used to try and persuade me to act before I could afford it, and no signs of "hard feelings" that I didn't complete the purchase. It has been 2 days since the treatment; we have seen one Brown Recluse that was -out in the day time, -very slow moving, -obviously sick from the chemical, -and died shortly thereafter. We have also seen a dramatic (emphasis on dramatic) decrease in the "other" pests that had so frequently made their way into are home and those we did find...were dead. One more thing; related to character- as I mentioned earlier, Darin was "business professional" ; what I was referring to is this- I never felt pressured, never felt like I was being hustled, never felt like Sure-Shot was out here for "the sale". I felt the entire time (including the phone call), that Darin's company was coming out here to help me with my pest problem. There were no come-ons, no promises of work at great discounts or a free 10pc Ginsu knife set or toaster if I signed a contract. Just a fair, honest estimate of what it would cost for me to have Sure Shot provide extermination services at my location. Ex; I live out near Lake Thunderbird, quite a ways from Sure-Shots' offices in Edmond. On the phone, Darin clearly and forthrightly offered the notice that there would be a $20 gas fee because I was outside his usual service area. He didn't try to hide it in his price, or spring it on me after he arrived. When he got here (at about 8:30am because he knew I was waiting to go to work), he told me I was farther out than he had estimated and the fee would have to be $30 and it would be encoured each time he or his crew had to come out here. That may sound bad at first blush to some of you reading this and might sound a little risky since he changed the price when he got here, that might cost him business with some people. But think about it this way. This is an independantly owned company; Darin makes his living, feeds his kids, makes his house payment just like you and I do and he does so operating a small business. He knows what his costs are, what he has to charge to make money so he can earn a decent living, hire employees, maintain his equipment and re-invest in his company to help it grow. He was honest about it. He had made a mistake, needed to correct it and made no excuses for it. You can respect that. We've all had companies like a carpet cleaning company or a home repair company that came to our home promising some amazing amount of work for some great discounted price right? I mean, you've heard the commercials for stuff like "pay for 1 room and get 10 rooms cleaned free" or that commercial from a local Dodge dealer offering $15,000 of the purchase of a new truck or offering to give you a second brand new car for a penny if you buy one at regular price...REALLY? Hmmm...how can they take $15,000 off? Do they make that much normally on that truck? Are they THAT overpriced? I'd rather have an honest estimate of cost, from a guy trying to make an honest living by providing a needed service than some "incredible deal" that we all know will cost us somewhere else in the long run. So here's the deal- If you want an honest, no-gimmicks, professional exterminator, who arrives when they say they will, does what they say they will, looks you straight in the eye and tells you what their service will cost then leaves the decision up to you to decide, in my opinion, Darin and Sure-Shot would be an excellent choice. Is he the cheapest? Not sure. Is he the best? Judging from the reviews on Angie's list I'd bet he's one of them. But this I do know, Sure-Shot and Darin WILL be the company I call when I need pest control. And the $30 gas fee, happy to pay it.

We found termite larvae in a dead tree we removed from our front yard, and we knew there had been termites in an outbuilding in the backyard, so we called Sure Shot to discuss. Daren, the owner, met with us. Based on his information and our own research, we set up an appointment to return that week to have the house treated for termites, as well as having the inside and outside treated for spiders/ants, etc. We also scheduled a time to have the backyard and surrounding trees/shrubs treated for fleas and ticks. "Michael" arrived promptly at 7 am, as promised, and began drilling the concrete where needed, as well as digging around the foundation around the house for application of the termite treatment chemicals. Daren arrived later and applied the insect control treatment inside and outside the house. He found several recluse spider webs in the attic and even inside the house (!), so we were thankful we had this treatment done. Michael continued to work, and completed the treatment close to noon that day. A different gentleman returned the following week to treat the backyard for fleas and ticks. Daren had explained that this treatment could not be done at the same time as the termite treatment because it could possibly negate the effectiveness of the termite treatment. We have asked to be included on their quarterly treatment schedule for spiders, fleas and ticks. Daren explained they will call and schedule those treatments each quarter, and they will also call yearly to schedule an inspection for termites (guarantees the initial treatment).

Darren usually does my house. He's always pleasant & personable. Always on time.

He was a little late arriving, however, he called to notify me of the few minutes late. He was in and out in a matter of 30 minutes. Was pleased with the timeliness during the visit at our home.

Very professional, called night before coming to give approximate (within 1 hr.) arrival time. Called in a.m. to confirm arrival time. Arrived early in appointed time frame. Sprayed for spyder control, discussed other treatments I have asked about (weed control and fertilizer application) and left. Great working with these people.

I have them come out quarterly to spray. I do have them sometimes come out in addition to that in order to treat for snakes and ticks. They are effective.

TERMITES?!!!!! About 11:00-11:30 Wednesday morning we moved a very large, heavy bed from the bedroom to prepare for the delivery of a new, gigantic and unbelievably heavy bed. We ran the vacuum where the smaller bed had been setting and promptly caved in a section of baseboard about a foot long. Upon closer inspection, there was no doubt it was termites. I ran to the computer, pulled up Angie's List and found Sure Shot. When I called them and explained that we absolutely had to replace that section of baseboard before the new bed arrived (there is no way we would be able to move the new bed), Darin and Michael drove straight to our house from downtown OKC to inspect the damage and make sure termites had caused the damage. They arrived within 30 minutes or so of my initial call. Sure enough, even though I'd never seen termite damage before (there are some things you just know...), termites had been busy. Darin said it looked as if they had just started their dirty deeds, but we had to treat now. He set his crew up to do all the work for the very next morning. Darin explained in detail what needed to be done and quoted a fair price. He also accepted the coupon on Angie's list for a discounted price. The Sure Shot crew came to the house while we were at work and did everything Darin said they would do. Darin met me at the house that evening after work to give me the contract and warranty and collect payment. All in all, as termite experiences go, Sure Shot was a blessing from heaven. I definitely recommend them to anyone that may have pest problems (other than exes or cranky other halves - you're on your own there :-D ).

There was nothing I disliked about their services.

Called Jennifer on a Thursday, Stacey came out Friday. He called in the morning to confirm, and then called a couple hours later to see if he could come an hour early out on his way somewhere else. Very professional! No one wants to deal with this stuff, and with him I felt it was already behind me as soon as I called. He told me he would charge $55 for the bait alone or $125 for 2 outdoor bait stations. Then, he told me he'd do both for $135!! He also quoted me quarterly spider service for $85. Love it!! It's nice for a military member who has no connections or local referrals to be able to find such a trustworthy company. I wouldn't use anyone else. I didn't have to use the coupon, because he gave me such a huge discount on the bait packets he put in the garage and apartment.

While remodeling a bedroom on Saturday I pulled up the baseboards and noticed a small section that appeared like it might be some termite activity. Knowing I needed to get a professional to come out and looked I came to Angie's List and began my search. I came across Sure Shot and noticed they have an excellent report card so figured I give them a call. Even though I figured they wouldn't be open I called and left a message so they would call me first thing Monday morning. Low and behold about 1 hour after I left my message Darin called me and I explained my situation at which time he said he would be able to come out sometime Monday and look. Well Darin showed up Monday and as expected I had termites, he explained the treatment process and even also checked for structural damage and from what he could tell I had none. Anyway within 30 minutes the office was calling to setup and appointment which was scheduled for Thursday morning at 9am. At 8:40 Thursday morning I received a call from Darin stating that his workers were on the way. Once they arrived they explained what they were going to do and got right to work and completed the job in a timely and proficient manner. Darin showed up a little while later to take care of the paperwork, check to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction and answer all my questions. The price was good as I received my 10% discount from the Angie's list coupon. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the job from start to finish and will be using Sure Shot again when the need arises and will recommend them to all my friends.

I called SureShot on a Monday, and requested a termite inspection at a specific time on Wednesday of that week (the only time that worked for me). SureShot made sure they could fit my schedule! Darin from SureShot met me on time as agreed. He spent quite a bit of time going through and around the house. He informed me about some preventative measures regarding termites and what to look for in the future. Darin was very professional and knowledgeable. Thanks again Darin!

He came the right away. He was an extrmely nice, genuine, person and was very customer service oriented. He sprayed the ants that day and they were taken care of right away. We haven't had any trouble since. He also sprayed for weeds. His price was reasonable considering they do a follow-up visit at no extra charge.

I called, they made an appointmnet at a time that fit my schedule. They showed up on time, were very courtious, did a good job, provided a termite inspection report right then. I was very pleased with them.

I've been using Sure Shot for years now and greatly appreciate their service! I recommend them to all of my patients. I've never had one complaint about Sure Shot, they always do a great job!

I called on Friday and was able to schedule the inspection for Monday. As I was speaking to Jennifer on the phone, we were disconnected and she immediately called me back. She was very pleasant and professional. Our appointment was scheduled for between 12 and 1 on Monday. Darin called at 8 a.m to confirm the time. He actually arrived 20 minutes early. He was very polite and professional. He thoroughly inspected our home, both inside in out. He didn't find any evidence of termites but did inform us that we have a carpenter ant problem that will need to be taken care of. We asked for an estimate to treat the ants and he provided us one at a VERY reasonable price. He also provided us with a very detailed termite inspection report. We've already scheduled an appointment for Sure Shot to come out and treat our ant problem. We will definitely be using Sure Shot for any exterminating issues we may have in the future. And we will recommend them to any and all of our friends who are ever in need of such a service.

The first 3 treatments seemed to do the job, but Stacey warned me not to be hasty in putting all the "stuff" back in place too soon. He instructed me to call him if we saw a single bug. Unfortunately we did see one bug still alive in the room that was the source a month after the initial spraying. Stacey came out immediately and sprayed and dusted the room again. So far there is no further sign of bugs, and you can bet I'm hyper vigilant about looking for the slightest evidence something may have hatched out. I did a ton of research on eradicating bed bugs before I went with Sure Shot, as well as checking local companies on Angies List. I know they can be a nightmare to get rid of, so I haven't expected a miracle fix. Stacey was completely honest with me about the difficulty of the task, and has responded promptly and professionally as we have gone through this process. He has been very thorough and I have confidence that this company is committed to insuring that my home is bedbug free. I would not hesitate an instant in recommending Sure Shot to anyone needing to resolve a pest control issue.

they were very friendly and very quick to come out once I called. They were informative and detailed about the service they would perform. They arrived when stated and provided the service as outlined. I was having trouble with my outside lighting after they left and had thought they had cut my power line by accident when drilling around my foundation. I called them to tell them and someone came out the next day to try to see what the problem was. As it turned out the line wasn't cut and it had nothing to do with them working around the line at all. They were very nice about the inconvenience it placed on them to come back out. I signed a contract with them for continued pest control and feel confident I made a good choice.

Did a great job. Very professional, called to confirm appt. Very fast and prompt service. Great price. Gave good advice on what to do in the future. Highly recommend.

The woman who answered the phone was efficient and friendly. I called late one Friday afternoon and she scheduled my job for mid-day on Monday. The technician arrived at the scheduled time. He was friendly and knowledgable and explained about the treatments he was using. He identified the type of bugs I was seeing. The quoted price was reduced by 10 percent because of my Angie's List membership.

They are fast, in and out in under 15 minutes. But still take time to listen to your issues and concerns and act on them accordingly. i.e. spraying for ants, or silverfish specifically.
