He was super busy so he was unable to make an appt with me but offered to put me in contact with someone he knew and trusted. I never got to speak with him he did call back and leave the info I just wrote about. Decided to not have the work done at this point on time , however I will call him back when we decide to actually do it. I don't know actually when I spoke with him, but this review is a few months late!

Steve and John showed up on time to install two ceiling fans. I took advantage of their time and had them check a receptacle in the kitchen that sparked one day. I also wanted a light for the back yard so when I let the dogs out at night to go to the bathroom, I could keep an eye on them. They both worked diligently to get the work done. They had to leave to get some parts but I was thrilled that they could get it all done in one day. Steve seemed very knowledgeable. They both were pleasant. I would use Steve Ocker Electric again.

He was good he gave me a discount for paying cash plus there was a coupon discount as well. Steve himself was on vacation but he sent another man out that was just as great. No complaints at all for the work completed.

I left a voice mail message for Steve first thing in the morning, after a night of no power and no heat. I explained the problem in the message. Within an hour we were talking on the phone, and he explained he was presently on a job and would be there about noon, as soon as he finished. He arrived just as he said he would. He found several issues with the electrical system which led to the failure and to previous multiple circuit breaker tripping. He repaired many loose connections within the box, then individually checked every circuit under full loads to ensure that not too many appliances / heaters were plugged into any single circuit, guarding against a future problem. No wonder he maintains a solid "A" rating. I would use him again in a heart beat!! His price was very reasonable, but more importantly, when I need something done, I need it done right & professionally. Steve did just that. If you're looking for a great electrician, in my opinion I highly recommend Steve Ocker Electric!

Steve was very helpful and efficient and went above and beyond. He answered all of my questions and gave the advice I needed to make the proper changes for what I was wanting to do. He also looked at a couple motion detectors and there circuits, tested them and gave more good advice.

I called Steve on 11/20 ,in the early morning ,and received his voicemail. I left a detailed message explaining the work that needed to be done and my contact information. It's now 2 days later and he's never returned my call. If you don't want the business, then at least have the courtesy to return my call and tell me. Steve did eventually call back on 11/22, but I've already selected another electrician. **Update** Steve, thanks for taking the time to address the concerns mentioned in the review. It's good to see that you take ownership of your business and care to respond to your customers.

We were not able to use the coupon due to my husband getting deployed. When he got back, I thought I would try to reach Steve Ocker and see if he would still honor the coupon despite the fact it was expired, but after hearing what happened, I thought he might be inclined. He declined to honor the coupon. When I told Jesse this he offered this option. He was very kind and told me that he Angie's List doesn't want the money if the service wasn't done. He's a nice young man... :) I appreciate your consideration in this matter...

We had Steve use an existing light that was a can spot light above our mantel to use as the source. We had him remove the fixture altogether and basically run a line down to the middle of our fireplace above the mantel. We are going to build it out with a wood facia as this house was built in 1988 and the brick is dated. He gave a very reasonable quote, and had the work completed from time of initial estimate to completion (including time to go to Lock Supply for materials) in about 4 hours. He worked smart, efficient, was friendly and knowledgeable. We have a few other projects we know we will be calling him out on in the near future.

Very professional and prompt. Explained the situation to us. Came promptly to our house the next day after hearing about our problems because he was concerned for our safety.

It went great! He responded quickly to our initial call, communicated with us up until the time of our appointment, showed up on time and did the work in a timely manner. He was very nice and did an excellent job. Highly recommend his services and will definitely use him again in the future for any electrical work we have done on our home.

I wouldn't pick ANYONE else. Steve (owner) was here very promptly and did all the work in quick fashion. Pricing was really fair and transparent. The most professional and friendly service anyone would want. I had an electrical emergency 2 days later and Steve was able to come out within an hour of my call and assured me that he would make my house safe for my family again. Like I said, as far as I'm concerned, there are no other electricians in town. He will always be the one I call. You should too.

It took him about 2 hours to complete the work. It was pretty good. The only problem I had was that he had a hard time fitting me in, but he did everything well. If I was going to ever have something big done I would consider going to another company. No additional cost with the Big Deal. I felt it was a good price. Without the deal I would have probably paid twice that amount.

I would highly recommend. He came over to install a separate electrical circuit for my treadmill. I was very happy with the job he did and the price. About a week after he came out, my house got struck by lightning which arced to my gas line causing a huge gas leak into my house. It was discovered that my gas line wasn't grounded properly when my house was built. He came over again and checked the electrical system and installed a surge protector for my whole house. He also properly grounded the gas line. When it came time to have the city inspector over to approve the grounding, I thought I would not be off work in time so he met the inspector at my house. He is a super nice guy and I will definitely use him again if I ever need an electrician.

He has done an excellent work. He did a really good job. He cleaned up well after himself. He came out when he said he was going to. The experience was good enough that I’ve got another electrical project that I need to have done in the back with him.

Outstanding service. Mr. Ocker determined the issue with the lighting fixtures was a very common problem related to the contact point on the flood lighting making good contact with the socket. Showed me the issue and how to correct it myself in the future. Charged me for a service call only. He was punctual and very professional. Would recommend and will use again.

I am a repeat customer of Steve's. I have found Steve and his assistant to be very prompt, courteous and give a lot of attention to detail. This time I needed a ceiling fan installed in he master bedroom. I had also run into a problem with the other end of the house in the hallway. The hall light wasn't working and nor were two outlets, as well as a light over the fireplace in the living room. The ceiling fan installation went smoothly and it works perfectly. I bought the ceiling fan myself and just wanted to make sure it was installed wobble free and had the right kind of support it needed. It took Steve a little time to check into the issues of the lights & plug-ins not working, but he did figure it out and promptly fixed the problem. He found that the GFI receptacle in the garage wasn't working right, so he installed a new one. The old one was also installed "upside down", but with the new one, he installed the right way so that the three-pronged plugs go right side up. He always explains exactly what he does, but I'm not technical with electric issues, so my apologies for not explaining in more detail what he did. No complaints and nothing but praise for a job well done. I also need to mention that he is a perfectionist and likes things done neatly and just right. When I have other electrical jobs in the future, I will be contacting Steve to do the work.

I will use him whenever I need a good electrician.

I bought a big deal. They did real good too. They got it all done. They came out when expected. I did not know how long it was going to take. Everything worked fine. He knew what he was doing.

My husband and I both liked him and plan to have him do further work for us.
