Steve came to my home to replace the electric panel (I was told I needed a new one by another electrician) he checked everything out thoroughly and told me I did not need one. Good news for me. He was very honest (much appreciated) and didn't even charge me. I will definitely use him again. Thanks Steve.

I called and left a detailed voicemail, and did not receive a return call to discuss the job. Poor project management.

Contacted Steve about coming out and doing a bunch of small repairs and installations. He called back and said he was booked for over a month and recommended another electrician. That electrician came out and did a great job. He could have called, politely told me he was booked, and had me either wait until he was free or go find my own substitute. Instead, he willingly gave up business in order to meet my need. Sometimes the mark of a quality organization isn't always just about the work they do, but about the whole business of meeting a customer's need.

Called this Co. to come out and check out a short in our landscaping lighting.They came out and did finally locate the short after many hours of just disconnecting wires to see if short goes away. They did not use a locator which would have made the work much easier. I have been around electric work for over 40 years and I have used electricians to locate wiring and find shorts. If you are looking for a short these days you need a locator/fault finder. The way Ocker electric went about this is not the way to locate shorts. I should have made sure they knew how to and had equipment to do the job. I could have hired a company for much less per hour to just unhook wires till short went away. Dear Mr Ocker: Your reply to my review has errors. Where did you find 40+ lights in our front entry area?? Are you sure you are talking about our area.. You did not fix 40+ lights to work. By the way, the lights you did repair are out again. Be sure to compare apples to apples when talking about our housing area. As far as subpar wiring/ The wiring has worked for over 15Years with minimal trouble. Just this year we started having some issues

This was the first time I've hired him. He was wonderful! He was very honest. He showed me exactly what was wrong with my lights and what he needed to do. He asked me before doing work and made sure I was comfortable with everything before he started on the job. He even offered to clean all the exterior lights. I have recommended him to several people.

I recently purchased a home built in 1957 which had a number of electrical related home inspection punch list items (GFCI needed in bathrooms, weather guard for exterior plugs, etc.). I contacted Steve based on his positive reviews on Angie's list and we agreed on a day for him to come to the house and to work on the items. In the interim between when we spoke and the day he arrived, I added two new ceiling fans, two new light fixtures and a request to run a dedicated circuit for my home theater system to the list. Steve and his assistant arrived on time and we reviewed all of the items on the inspection list plus the new items I had added. Steve indicated it would likely take two days to complete everything on the revised list and he adjusted his schedule to come back for a second day. Steve and his assistant worked into the evening on the first day and then came back the following day (a Friday) and worked until 11:00 pm that evening to get everything done before the moving trucks arrived the next day. Steve communicated with me regularly each day via text or phone call as to status and to get questions answered. Steve's work is of the highest quality. He does not cut corners but he is pragmatic as well. He made some recommendations on how to reduce the cost of the install of the new ceiling fan in the living room, he identified some shoddy electrical work previously done on some recessed lighting which could be a hazard and he labeled a previously unknown GFCI circuit for a bathroom rather than installing new GFCI outlets. In one room where we replaced an existing ceiling fan, he proactively replaced the mounting bracket in the attic with one rated for ceiling fans since the previous owner had left the original bracket designed to hold only a light fixture. He left all of the various work areas clean when finished. He provided a detailed invoice which showed every item he completed and all of the materials he purchased. Steve's pricing is very competitive and reasonable. Steve operates with a high degree of integrity and he is an expert in his trade. I will be using him for all of my future electrical work.

Steve Ocker was prompt, calling me with accurate price estimate. He repaired / replaced a dimmer switch for a dining room light, replaced a wall outlet that had no power, and repaired a light above the master shower. I really appreciated his communications with me, both on the phone and via e-mail. I definitely plan to use him next time we need an electrician.

Steve is the best! This is the second time I have used him for multiple things. I have been extremely pleased with his work and would definitely recommend him to everyone! I cant say enough about how helpful he has been. i wouldn't hire anyone else, solid guy!

He did a good job. He was there on time and he was really nice.

He did a great job. He gets all As, although really all he did was tweak one little thing, it was a little expensive for what he did but I guess that's just his service call so I guess it wouldn't have been cheaper no matter how long he spent. I would definitely use him again.

Steve quickly returned my initial call, and was able to schedule the work for a time convenient to both of us. They arrived within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, and quickly removed a ceiling fan in my den, assembled the replacement fan, and installed it. They also replaced an old picture light above the fireplace. I had planned on moving the existing ceiling fan to a bedroom. After Steve removed the fan, though, I decided that I didn't want that fan in the bedroom. I told him I would let him know when I purchased a new fan for the bedroom. Later that day, I went to Lowe's and found the perfect fan. I texted Steve that I had found a fan, and he came back the same day to install it. That level of service far exceeded my expectations. It took less than an hour, even though there had not been a ceiling fan in that location before. Steve is friendly, fast and efficient, and his prices are very reasonable. Everything he installed works perfectly, they cleaned up after they were finished, and I could not be happier. Oh, and he gave me a discount when I told him that I had found him on Angie's List.

I hired Steve to help with the installation of two ceiling fans. I honestly cannot say enough good things about his service and professionalism. His ability to get everything prepared, installed, and operational was excellent. He was able to troubleshoot problems with hardware and able to work around any and all obstacles. Steve did an excellent job at communicating throughout the entire project. I'm already planning on using Steve to install additional outdoor lighting and would not hesitate to use him for any other electrical needs. I'll be sure to recommend his service to all my co-workers and friends.

Called before he came to make sure he had the right supplies before he came to save time. Called again just before he arrived. Very friendly and professional. Had an apprentice with him. Was careful to silicone around outside outlets. Just a little over 2 hrs of work. He was detailed and did a great job. Plan to use him next week for some more electrical work.

He is the first electrician that I've had come to the house who has told me that his work has a warranty for a year. I was very impressed with that. He is busy. He was very responsive, but he just couldn't get me on his schedule. He got back to me right away within an hour. He just couldn't get out to my house for a little bit. If it was an emergency it would probably be a little more difficult for somebody to use them.

We called Steve for our electrical problems because we have used him before. He is very kind and professional. He replaced the transformer, chime, and button to our doorbell . Our ceiling fan and lights in our living room were controlled by two small round knobs. The one for the fan was working, but the one for the lights would not keep the lights on. Steve replaced the dimmer/fan speed control switch with one that is much easier to use. We had about ten fluorescent lights that are recessed up high above the cabinets in our kitchen replaced. Neither my husband or myself have been able to replace them ourselves. He also replaced some lights in our master closet that we could not get to. Steve always does a great job and we would not even consider using anyone else.

Steve responded to my call quickly and professionally. Made an appointment for the following day. He communicated with me during the day, giving me two service calls; one to let me know that he would provide the service as we discussed; one to let me know he was on the way. The job was small by comparison, but Steve and his Assistant did not make me feel that it was a waste of their time. Steve said that any job that earned them my business was worthwhile. Gotta love that! Steve was professional, prompt, and easy to work with. I will definitely use this company again, and highly recommend it.

Steve was a real find. Thank you, Angies List feedback providers! This was a small job but Steve took it and was a pleasure to work with. He not only made two trips for the price but also installed a couple of brackets to hold a cable in place that were not there originally to reduce any accident risk. I often wonder if vendors build any Angies List discounts into their "top line" quote but Steve itemized his 5% discount as the final line on his invoice. It was only a few bucks but he honored his commitment.
