It was a good experience. They were timely and professional. They came, gave the estimate, and did exactly what they said. They actually enhanced the overall project.

After I signed to give them the contract, it was 9 months before they started work. When the project manager come to look at my house, he had no idea what he was doing or looking at, the salesman that sold the job no longer worked there to be able to explain he drawings and quote to anyone, so it was an interpretation and what was discussed. You cannot talk to anyone in this company, everything has to be in writing or they will leave it out. They hire out 3rd party contractors that don't speak English, so there is no communication on the job. My roof is a very high end stone coated metal with life time warranty, but I expect to have to replace in matter or years because of the poor quality of workmanship. Do no sign a finished paper work until after it rains. They came back multiple times to fix leaks, My roof still leaks. They test with water hose which doesn't work as well. I was in legal depute because my roof didn't leak with the hose, but once a real rain came, and I called they did not care. They will not give discounts, they will not tell you if something needs done and just cover it up. And when it fails come back and you and say well that want not in the contract. They never showed up to work on time. They will not call if they are not coming to work for a day. After total cost of the roof, a lawyer to try and get roof fixed, I am out lawyer fees and their price, and even still have to hire another person to fix my roof correctly. Have talked to other roofing contractors that have had to go back and fix RRR's mess ups a lot.

I had a good experience with them. I had a problem with one of their workers shooting a nail through my air conditioning line, draining all the Freon out, but they stood by the repair. Hundreds of dollars of Freon leaked out of my system and it was very expensive, but they basically repaired it. When something went wrong they stood by their work and tried to make me happy. They paid for a heating and air conditioning contractor to come in, repair and recharge my system without me having to take them to court. I thought their pricing was reasonable.

The install was pretty quick and looked great. On a couple of different times when it rained I had leaks in my house. First leak in the kitchen came after a mild rainstorm. The project manager on the job came right out and took care of the problem. Second leak came after a huge rainstorm around 6 months later. Made a call and again got the problem fixed. He took care of it the very next day after I called and I have never had another problem since.

I found them on the home show. It is an extremely good one and it has 50 years warranty on it. It is not just a metal roof that I see in a lot of places; it looks like shingles. It’s a good roof and I don’t have to put on one more in my life time. I am totally satisfied. They explained the process to me that they would be going through. They worked with me and brought the samples out. The crew that they had put on the roof and that’s all they do. It’s a Gerard roof and that’s what the crew does. They go from location to location putting this type of roof on. I didn’t have someone that was not used to putting on this type of roof. This was a specialty of them. They would come out if I have any problems with the roof. I feel that there wouldn’t be any problem calling them and they would respond. They are not a fly-by-night company.

Red River roofing company sent out one of their sales representatives to give me an estimate on a full roof replacement. He inspected the roof and then informed me that he would have to get back to me in a couple of days with the estimate. I thought this to be a little strange, since a previous roofing company gave me a written estimate on the spot in a matter of minutes. Anyway, the Red River sales associate indicated that if I did not want to meet with him in a couple of days that he would email the estimate to me. Long story short-No email. I am all new to this since I have never replaced a roof before, however, I am quickly learning that most of the roofing companies want to meet with your insurance adjuster, and if you balk at that idea they tend to disappear without providing a written estimate. However, of those that will provide a written estimate, they are quick to inform that having something in writing every step of the way is a helpful tool for all parties involved. One might expect the "fly by nights" to behave in this manner but we have contacted more than one local company that shies away from giving you anything in writing. We will stick to locals who will give us honest estimates that we may compare and contrast with other companies in order to make a solid decision about something as important and expensive as a full roof replacement. For those of us newly navigating the tornado damage/insurance/repair "waters", unwritten damage estimates are not at all helpful and we should share information about who really is doing a great job with helping with all the repairs and reconstruction going on. So far we have found only two local companies who were not interested in our insurance details first and foremost. UPDATE 6/20/13: We received a phone call and subsequent written quote via email today.

These guys did a great job on my roof repair. I had them go back and forth with my insurance company and my $2000 deductible was reduced to $700 due to their negotiations! I requested that they hand nail the shingles in (this is much better than shooting in with a gun) and they did this with no problem. They showed up on time and finished on time. I worked with Josh Romano on this project and I can tell you he is a true professional! Highly recommended! They also changed me over from turtle vents to an electric ventilation system which should help my cooling cost.

As far as local roofing companies go, they are a fairly large company. They do a lot of businesses and homes. They have a fairly good-sized staff. They have a supervisor that works with us and then they figure out what needs to be done. They bring in the crews to do it. I had the roof on in probably two days. It took them extra time to do the decking. But they still got in done in about two days. They made sure that we understood what they were doing. They were good to answer any questions that we had. The work was done, and it was good quality. They made sure that we understood differences between the different roofing materials that were used. They were pretty thorough as far as making sure that we understood. They did not get along too well with my insurance company. There were some issues because of the decking. The insurance adjustor came out first and she didn’t realize that this roof had to have decking put on, so that added about $3000 to the cost of the roof. They tried to work with them and get the adjustment taken care of. They kind of declined to work with us on that. It got done eventually, but I think it cost us more than it would have had they worked with the insurance company. There were some bad feelings between the insurance company and the roofing company. We were kind of in the middle of that; it was not too pleasant.

Although I had to wait nearly three months before they could schedule my job, and then an extra day because of high winds, the crew came in when they said they would be here, got right to work, and worked steadily until they were finished. The project manager came by at the beginning and verified all the work to be done, and came by when the crew was finishing to inspect the work and go through all the work done with me, including going up into the attic to show me from the inside the work that was done. The crew made sure they cleaned up everything, and I have yet to find any metal, such as roofing nails, left on the ground around the house. The project manager kept asking if I had any questions through out the inspection, then asked me to call him if I thought of any questions after he left. Overall, I was impressed with their efficiency and professionalism throughout the job.

They did a good job in a stressful situation.

From first visit from Mark Walters until final installation, everything went smoothly and professionally. All options were explained and no pressure was exerted to do anything or add any features that we didn't want. We have dealt with many roofers over the years, but Red River Roofing is by far the most efficient and professional group that we have ever used.

In my opinion, in this experience, the vendor's communication was unprofessional, including messages not relayed or responded to; the manager did not meet me at my house as requested to discuss, as I always do with independent contractors, my expectations for quality work; the vendor's proposal was substandard and unprofessional, using inferior materials; the manager aborted negotiation in an unprofessional manner.

We had problems with the attic getting so hot, our 2nd level a/c couldn't keep it cool. Red River Roofing came out and gave me a recommendation as well as several other options. We went with their recommendation, and what a positive difference it has made. Bill and the guys were great analyzing the problem, and the crew they sent got the job done. Would definitely recommend to others.

Did what they were paid for, no problems.

I was not pleased with Red River Roofing & Construction. They weren't professional. They weren't on time. They didn't show up when they were suppose to. They were difficult to get a hold of. They took forever to get the job done. The sky light leaked. It took a long time for them to correct the problem. They were over billing us. I would never use them again.

It went pretty well once they were able to do the work. They arranged to do the work on days when we were able to have the dogs awa from the house so no one (the workers or the dogs) were stressed out by too much barking.

They gave me a bid for a total roof replacement. About a month later, I called them back out to sign the paperwork and I was told that they would be here between 1-14 days. By the 17th, they still hadn't come out and I spoke with a secretary that mentioned they were about 6 weeks behind schedule. I said that would not work for me, and was told I would get a call the next day. I finally spoke with someone and they came out about a week later. They did the roof. There have been several problems since then with the roof. There are places in the roof that aren't sealed right. They used particle board instead of wood. I even spent extra money on higher quality shingles. When they were done with the job, they hit my garage door and had to replace that. I am still trying to get all these problems resolved.

They were okay. They did fine for what I had them do. It was a service call type of thing so I paid for a couple of hours.

It took a while to get the job onto the schedule but once the crew showed up they worked during 100+ degree days. Did a great job and didn't cut any corners. I'll call Red River again if I need such work done.

All around, they were a good roofing company. They showed up on time and did a wonderful job. Their price was very good, quality of work was wonderful and professionalism was outstanding. I would rate them highly and would definitely use them again in the future if necessary.

They were excellent and very professional. The company is customer oriented, performs quality work and I will use them again in the future.

He came out about three weeks ago. His price was reasonable. He gave us a pamphlet with so much information. He was fantastic.

Brian came out and gave us an estimate the next day after we called. I was quite concerned with the removal of the old roof as I have extensive landscaping and I was worried that it would be trampeled on and we would find debri for months. None of these things happened. The crew came on time, worked very hard and stayed late to make sure that all was completely done right. They even roofed our toolshed at no cost to us, in fact we weren't aware of this untill we were doing some gardening work a couple of weeks after completing the job. We first used this company to repair a place of my fathers roof where he had some minor damage. Big or small job they treat you the same.

They are very good. They did an excellent job and did it in one day. There was only one worker that could speak English, I didn't like that too well. The clean up and quality of the work was excellent, I have no complaints at all. The price is an "A" because I know what the others charge.
