+ -1 morePretty well considering the shower handle (where the leak was originating) was out of date and the replacement parts are hard to come by. He had to go to a few places to find the needed part. And because he was able to do that he saved us about $400.00 since he wouldn't have to rip the old one out and replace it with a comeplete new system. It's an all tile shower and that would have not been pretty. Nice, friendly, courteous, thorough yet fairly quick. Would definitely use them again for all my plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Shower faucet was leaking as was one of the vanity sink faucets. Technician replaced piece in shower and washers in the sink.

+ -1 moreI was experiencing a warm spot on the floor in my kitchen combined with very little hot water from the tap. The pressure was good, but the water wasn't very hot despite having a fairly new hot water heater. When I began to suspect a leaking hot water pipe under the slab, I called Hi-Tech Plumbing. An appointment was scheduled for 3:00 that afternoon (Friday). Trenton arrived early and went to work looking for the leak. he marked an area with painters tape on my kitchen floor and gave me an estimate of $1150 to break the slab, repair the pipe, refill the hole and repair the slab. We proceeded to schedule a repair for Tuesday morning, which was the first available appointment. Early Tuesday Morning I received a call from Hi-Tech's dispatcher, Susan, asking if I had looked at the estimate and made a decision on whether or not to schedule the repair. When I explained that I had scheduled the repair on Friday for Tuesday morning and was expecting them to arrive any minute, she was a bit surprised. She couldn't explain to me where the miscommunication had occurred. Since I wasn't on their schedule for that day, Thursday was the earliest they could come out to do the repair. I was frustrated, but accepted the Thursday appointment. I immediately looked on Angieslist and found Plumb Crazy Plumbing who also had very good reviews. I called them and explained the situation about Hi-tech dropping the ball, and the fact that I had taken off work that day and wouldn't be able to do so again that week. they managed to squeeze me into their schedule for that day and completed the repair. (see my review of their work under Plumb Crazy Plumbing) I called Hi Tech back, explained the situation and cancelled my Thursday appointment. While I was initially frustrated with Hi Tech Plumbing's scheduling snafu, I don't hold a grudge and would use them again. their response for leak detection was prompt and accurate; their staff courteous and professional. If not for the scheduling issue I would give them an A, as such I'm giving them a B and my repeat business as well.

Came in, inspected drainage, cleaned lines, then made recommendations for improvements. We selected the power-assisted toilet due to the piping configurations and drainage lines. They ordered unit, called when it was in, scheduled an appointment convenient to our weekend needs, were there on-time, completed and cleaned up everything as promised and departed on time. All under budget. Great people who genuinely care about their work and their commitment to service. Highly recommend them!

+ -1 moreA polite, knowledgeable salesman went through our home with us discussing multiple plumbing problems. He provided a quote for everything except the master shower & toilet area. This area deferred until unknowns were cleared up after tub/floor/wall tile removal. A generally friendly but uninformative repairman came to do the work. He worked slowly, then charged us more than the bid for faucet replacement. Not only did he charge more, but we were not given the promised discount. The toilet he fixed still did not work, sink in same bathroom still dripped, and outside faucet still dripped. We called in. They sent the same man out again. He said he could not fix the toilet and took another look at sinks and outdoor drain, then left. The sink, the toilet, and the outdoor faucet still leak. When working on utility sink, he left the spray hose wrapped around the drain so that we can only pull it out about eight inches. We did a 'make-shift' repair on the toilet, and its worked for months. End of October, we called about installing one of two hot water tanks we need, and the price had changed, so we could not yet afford to install either. We purchased one tank and installed ourselves. My daughter and I had never done this, but had no problem and done in hour + 20 minutes. Saved $1400! Recently, we purchased a new toiled and sink faucet then called requesting a different plumber do our work. We told them if that was not possible, we understand, but would go elsewhere for installation. I was told they would call me back and let me know. When they did not call, I called again and was told that they could send a different repairman. They scheduled me for a few days later. Evening before, they called to reschedule for the following Monday. Then Monday, as I waited for their arrival, they called to reschedule me again due to a scheduling conflict. The same young lady scheduled me each time, so how could this continue to be a problem? I've selected a new plumbing company that I hope will not waste so much of my time and perform better.

+ 0 moreI was wary of using this company because of the reviews stating they were expensive. I was prepared for a large bill. However, John came out and was very professional. He explained everything to me and even double checked his work before he left. I was very impressed and will specifically ask for him again the next time I need a plumber.
Description of Work: I called for an appointment and they just took my name for a call back. I thought oh-no it will take forever to get someone out to my house. I was called back the next day and set an appointment for the following day. I had a houseful of broken toilets to be fixed. I had one toilet that was not stable and leaking underneath. I had another toilet that was leaking at the tank and the tube into the wall. Both were fixed and I am completely happy.

+ -1 moreI called on Monday to schedule an appointment. I was told the earliest someone could come was Wednesday afternoon. I received a call after 5:00pm on Tuesday wanting to reschedule for 8:00am Wednesday morning so I agreed. The repair man was 1 hr late. He was nice and professional, he had to leave for about 30 minutes to get a part but returned to finish the job which only took a few minutes. The cost was about 175.00 dollars which was just too high. I will try to find another company that isn't quite as expensive the next time.

Description of Work: I changed the flooring in my home and needed to have the toilets re-seated, I called and requested a plumber for Monday. The receptionist said the office manager would be in contact with me to set the appointment. Today, Monday I had to call and ask about the appointment the receptionist said that they could squeeze me in at 1:30-2:00 only to call back an hour before they are due to say that they need to reschedule for Wednesday. Not very professional!

+ -1 moreI called Hi-tech Plumbing to come out and find the location of a water leak that was somewhere under my house. The people in the front office were great and sent a crew out within 24 hours. The detection took less than an hour and then they explained how they proposed to make the necessary repairs. A few days later the crew arrived to repair the leak that was under the foundation in our living room. The folks that came out were very professional, courteous and completed the work efficiently. They set-up plastic sheeting to keep the dust down, fixed the leak and cleaned everything up at the end. The entire repair took about 4-5 hours start of finish.

Finished a list of three items (including my botched try on the leaky faucet) in an hour. You will not go wrong using this company. The owner is class act and hires employees that share the same values from what I have experienced.

+ -1 moreAfter contacting the company about the issue with their tech they told us we were wrong and they could no longer help us because they do not work on well systems so they got paid for nothing Update: Everything I have posted here is true and to the point I did have another plumbing company come fix my water pressure they did do it cheaper than Hi-Tech they were able to find the problem and they did not lie to me. If anyone would like to know the name to the company I called the second time please message me I will gladly give out their info
Description of Work: I contacted hi-tech plumbing and leak detection to have them inspect the plumbing to and give an estimate to fix the low water pressure in my home after telling them over the phone I live in the country and have a well they said it would cost 120.00 for them to send a tech out and give an estimate to fix all the problems this could not be further from the truth as soon as the tech showed up he said he does not know anything about well systems but continued to look he could and not find the problem but did notice the pressure was lower in my home than out at my pressure tank and then blamed the problem on my well he sat in my driveway talking on the his phone and after my wife had approached him to see if he was finished he said he was talking to his friend and was slated to be there for another hour when he was finished he did not know really what the cause of the problem nor did he give an estimate to repair it and charged us 270.00 and left we feel we were robbed by this company and can not give a recommendation for anyone to use them Update: This is an update to my previous statement on 22 May. As Hi-tec plumbing stated that I had called them to check for a leak. This is not true I called for a low water pressure to my home I did not think I had a leak nor did I ask for any leak detection and I fully understood when I talked the receptionist and told her that "I needed someone to give me an estimate to fix low water pressure". I asked how much would it be, I always ask how much any service costs before giving the go ahead I was told over the phone 120.00 but they charged me 270.00. Hi-tec said they further offered their service for the price they first quoted me this it also un-true they said they do not work on well systems so why would they offer anything. I did call another plumbing company that also works on well systems they told me the price would be 90.00 to come out and investigate. They found it was the line between my home and well and that it was not my well and that it is working perfectly they fixed everything for the same price they quoted me. They were professional and courteous and I highly recommend them as for hi-tec if you need a toilet or faucet replaced yeah i'm sure they could do it for a premium again I don't recommend them.

+ -1 moreTrenton was very prompt in coming out to give us an estimate 3-30-2012 Then the rains started and the job was cancelled a few times, they came and completed the job at the price Trenton had estimated on 4-23-2012. One company had told us all we needed was a 5" section at the edge of our patio because it was full of roots, They proceeded to tie on to a rotted out sewer line but Hi-Tech Plumbing told us the truth about our sewer line that it needed to be replaced 15 years ago. Thanks to Hi-Tech Plumbing and Leak Detect for your honesty and a job well done.
Description of Work: Bobby and Brent came at app. 9:00 a.m and they worked hard all day. They finished at about 4:30 p.m. They knew what they were doing and didn't quit until the job was done and did the job for the price Trenton had estimated it to be. They cut through a cement patio and replaced the sewer line from the house all the way down and fixed the cement back, Also they did a good job of fixing the yard back. . + -1 moreTheir service person was Trenton and he was really good. The house was using a lot of water about 44000 gallons. It is a rental and we were trying to determine if there was a leak or not. It was very confusing the way the water used to go all over the place. We were trying for weeks to figure it out. We got him out there and I told him all the details and how the water was leaking. Then he went in the house with me to check and he determined with me that 99% there was a toilet that was malfunctioning and running a lot. If somebody was not there they wouldn’t realize. They would normally just flush the toilet and go. It was just pouring away. It was going to be $300 to do a leak detection service because they would have to bring the gear down and check the sensors on the slab. With just detective work we figured out in less than half an hour that it was very likely not a leak. I asked if I could get a regular service charge because I didn’t use the leak detection and he called the company. They were fine with it and so it saved me $200. If it was another company they would have said we are here for leak detention and whether or not you would have to pay $300. It was less than a $100 and I would definitely use that company again because they are honest at what they do and in addition he answered a lot of questions for me regarding having a house on a slab. I have always lived on a house with a foundation and he was able to give me some information on that. He also told me that if we ever have a leak what would happen and what the procedure is and stuff like that. The price was excellent. I was in a hurry to get somebody out there and they scheduled for 2 o’clock and they told me that if there was a cancellation or he is ahead of time she would call me. He came 2 hours ahead of time and it was a convenience instead of an inconvenience.

+ 0 moreAWESOME! Our toilet got clogged and it was so far down that it was backing up the shower too. I sent an email to Hi Tech Plumbing late in the evening with the hopes of getting a phone call when they opened the next morning. An hour after I sent the email I got a response, amazing. They confirmed my suspicion about the problem and said someone would call me the next day to set up a time to come out. I got a phone call at 7:30am, they were at my house by 9:03am and the bathroom was all fixed before 10:30am. They are wonderful! Very professional and it cost exactly what they quoted. Any time I have plumbing problems they will be my very first call.
