 + -1 moreI needed some help getting furniture and fridge out of the way so that the wood floors could be refinished. I called last minute and Two men and a truck were able to send someone right over. The name fooled me, I thought they were "two men" but it's a pretty big company with 14 trucks and 60 movers. I was fantastically happy to have the help on such sort notice. they plastic wrapped the chair before moving it. the fridge was covered with moving blankets. and they even helped move a piano. The only down side is that I had to pay the two hour minimum even though I only had an hours worth of work.
Description of Work: moved the fridge and some big furniture out into the garage.

 + 0 moreOverall, the workers were great - quick workers and energetic, even though it was the end of the day. They wrapped furniture carefully and had no problem with even heavy pieces. They were also great at organizing a lot of stuff into a small storage space. My only quibble is that I was packing the container for a long-distance move, and they didn't seem familiar with strategies to lessen belongings shifting, etc during a non-local transport. I had to basically nag them to use bungee cords and strap things in, requesting multiple times before they started doing it. But once they got the message, everything went smoothly and they fit much more in than I'd thought was possible! I will use the same company to unload on the other end of my move.

 + -1 moreWhen I had them move me to my new home they did not unload my things well. I asked them to not listen to my husband and to only listen to me. I have an antique china cabinet and this piece of furniture had a stretcher bar that had a tendency to fall out. The stretcher bar was fine, but one of the pieces that kept the top part fell out. I told them that they needed to be very careful with both pieces.My son came and he made the cabinet like its supposed to be. I was quoted a price between $750 and $950, but when they arrived they needed to adjust the quote to over $950-$1100. I ended up paying around $1500. I called and spoke with the manager and I guess he thought he would help out by putting back $50 into my account. I just feel as through I was taken to the cleaners. The guys worked very hard and they were friendly. They did not listen to me and my china cabinet got broken. Its mostly the money and not being listened to. I am living with the consequeces of them not listening to me. When I called them to hire them he said that the distance would make a difference. I only moved 12 miles and it was just one trip. I think that I was over charged.

 + -1 moreThe movers showed up at our house on time and quickly removed our selected furniture and boxes. They allowed us to add newly packed boxes and were very courteous and professional. After finishing at our house, they went to a furniture store and loaded furniture we'd purchased there before continuing on to our destination. There they were very quick and very good at setting up the furniture. We didn't find anything broken or damaged and from what we observed the movers were very careful with our items. One relatively minor issue was that some of our boxes ended up in the wrong room. When we first contacted Two Men and a Truck, we had a different mix of items that we planned to move (more furniture and fewer boxes). However, this wasn't an issue and I believe that as long as you provide the company with a reasonable estimate of the overall load they won't adjust the quoted flat fee. We will move the rest of our possessions after selling our home and plan to use Two Men and a Truck again and request the same two movers.
Description of Work: We had boxes and furniture moved from our house and a furniture store from Tulsa to a city about three hours away. We packed our own boxes.

They have different drivers, but the ones we've been associated with moved us and were really nice. They were punctual and a couple of polite young people. They don't cost as much, but I think their service is just as good.

 + -1 moreI really would have liked to give them a good rating because their guys worked hard and were friendly. During the move they damaged the door on my refrigerator which I acknowledged at the time of the move and signed a formal incident form. I was assured they would follow up. I did hear from their damage person however all he asked was for me to send pictures and said he'd get back with me. i emailed and texted pictures of damage to him. Heard absolutely nothing back from him, I called a couple of times, never received a return call. A friend of mine followed up with them later and they apologized saying their guy was new, however the name of the guy they gave him was the same guy I had emailed the picture to. I have very little confidence that they will follow up. Also, after the movers left and I began unpacking I discovered they had not put my bed together, they just "laid" it out without screwing it together. They also lost all of the hardware to dresser mirror and bed frame. I had to replace all the hardware myself. They did get the items moved in a timely basis and during the move their guys were great but now, knowing how they have not responded to the damage of my fridge door and finding the careless treatment of items put together I just can't recommend them. I will not use them again.

 + -1 moreThe movers were punctual and did a good job wraping the furniture and moving my other items into the truck. The only problem I had was that my computer desk broke during the move and was told that a damage report was filled out and someone would call to come and fix it. No one called and when I called them a number of times to remind them I was told someone would call me soon. Never happened! So I pitched the computer desk and bought me a new one.
Description of Work: I moved from one house to another in the same town. I didn't have alot to move since I was staying with relatives.

 + -1 moreDo have things ready as far as knowing what you want moved and have it in condition to go. Let them do their job, they know how better than most individual homeowners.
Description of Work: Loaded furniture from where it was stored, transported to new apartment. Unloaded and took upstairs into new apartment. No packed was needed as we had used them in June to move things into storage and furniture was still wrapped. Both outings the movers were very careful with the items and they were very professional. They were also amazingly good at what they were doing.

The men arrived on time, worked very quickly, itemized everything, immediately set about wrapping the furniture, then loading it It should be noted that this move took place in the heat of a record hot Oklahoma summer. When they started loading, the temps were about 80-85. When we all arrived at the new house, the temperature had risen to 100, and hit 112 in the middle of unloading! These men earned their pay in a big way....and they did an extremely fine job, too. If I have to move again, I won't hesitate to call them immediately!!
Description of Work: We did most of the packing of the delicate items...china, etc., and Two Men & a Truck wrapped and loaded all the furniture, garden tools, etc. They were extremely efficient throughout the whole event. They arrived actually a couple of minutes early, advised us of what their responsibility was vis-a-vis items we had packed, etc. One thing I had forgotten was that if I took apart the beds, I would have to put them back together, but they were very careful and did an excellent job of moving our Sleep Number bed without having to deflate it, and placed it in such a way that I would have little or no trouble putting it back together. That's service!

 + -1 moreWhat was odd about it is my daughter likes massive furniture and she bought a house and this her bed. There will be no way to move it up all the stairs. I also bought a dining room table and chairs, which was larger than what I ordered and both pieces were massive. My daughter works nights and was sleeping so I had them come and move them to her new house while she was asleep. She ended up hiring them too, to move the rest of her stuff to her new house. It was a good experience for both of us. They were great, they came in and did what they were supposed to do. They even had trouble trying to take the table in the front door but it wouldn't fit so they had to take it back down the stairs and take it to the back door and back up the stairs. I would say pricing was good. They did a great job, they padded up the chairs and table and made sure there weren't going to be any scratches. They were supposed to be here at 1:00, they called me and said they had a cancellation so they came a lot earlier than scheduled. My daughter was impressed with them too. She even had different movers that what I had so they both gave good service.
Description of Work: I used them to move a couple pieces a furniture. They had a 2 hour minimum.

 + -1 moreAlthough I ran my bill over the original estimate due to my request that they move more than the original quote, the bill was fair for the service I received. The movers themselves were polite and efficient, It is obvious that they have been trained not to waste any of the time which has been purchased. You can get cheaper I am sure, but not better customer service from start to finish. I highly reccomend Two Men and a Truck.
Description of Work: I hired Two Men and aTruck based on a good friends experience with the company. I recieved a quote over the phone based on information I provided to the sales rep. I also informed the sales rep that I had packed additional boxes and would have their service move them as well. The quote is based on size of the home that you are moving from and the distance to the new location. Another piece of information they need to give you an accurate quote will be the number of furniture piees, number of bedrooms etc. I had no appliances to move but that is also a factor in the quote. The owner of the business, Mike was onsite when I stopped by to ask a few questions and pick up some packing boxes. Everyone was courteous and efficient. I paid my deposit at the time I contracted the service(~30%), with the balance due when the move was complete.Two men and a Truck will deliver your packing boxes when you contract their services (which can be done over the phone) but I was running errands and picked up the dish pack box while I was out. The salespeople in the office were very knowledgeable about packing and gave me several good pointers on reducing the potential for damage when packing fragile items. They offer for sale at very competitive prices every type of box for a move, also if you don't use the boxes, they can be returned unused for a full refund. In addition, I also had the option to purchase some used boxes at a 50% discount- a savings I really appreciated. The extra boxes purchased were added to the final bill. As a side note, you really don't save money when using grocery boxes, they are too small and cannot be moved as efficiently as professional moving boxes. Moving cost is based on time and it just isn't efficient to use those free boxes in many cases!! On the day of the move, 3 movers arrived on time and quickly moved the furniture, including taking apart a large bed and moving several heavy pieces of antique furniture down a steep flight of apartment stairs and the up another set of stairs to the new apartment. The movers located my furniture, reassembled my bed and also put all the boxes I had packed where I requested. Every item they moved was padded and shrink wrapped. You don't need to empty your dresser drawers this way, which is a huge relief. When they finished unloading their truck, the movers even unloaded my vehicle for me. I appreciated the fact that those three movers unloaded my vehicle in just a few minutes, saving me time and muscle aches.

 + -1 moreThe movers showed up ON TIME. They called when they said they were going to call, and actually found the apartment faster than I did. They took great care of my disabled vet, got him packed up and moved in no time at all. After we got to the new apartment, they not only unloaded the stuff, but carried each box where my client wanted it. They set up his chair for him first of all and even turned on the heat (it was cold that day) so he would be comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about this company. One of the workers was actually on his way home, after he had already worked a full day, saw the truck and just came by to help. He didn't even sign in; just wanted to help. The service, as well as the follow-up was phenomenal. I can't thank them enough!
Description of Work: I was absolutely amazed at the level of professionalism and the fantastic attitudes of the workers here. I work with a grant that helps homeless veterans, and we occasionally have to move a disabled veteran to housing more suitable to their needs. The manager walked me step by step through their process, gave everything from detailed estimates to advice on how to arrange things so that the move would go quicker. They were by far the most caring and compassionate company I have been blessed to work with!!!

 + -1 moreThey're quick, they're strong and they do it enough to know exactly what their doing. They're very careful. I can't say enough good things about them. I've used them to load a truck to just take stuff to storage. The last time I used them they loaded furniture and other things from my son's home onto the truck. The furniture was brought to my home and the balance of it was taken to storage. They unloaded and placed everything where it needed to go, and they spent about four hours doing it. They were very professional, they did a very good job and they were quick.

 + -1 moreThe two men (Steven and Jason) were fantastic! They arrived promptly and began moving immediately. No waiting or wasting of time! They both communicated well and were very polite. Two supervisors arrived half-way through the move to check on everything (very reassuring!).They cheerfully moved heavy boxes up and down stairs as well as my front-loader washer and dryer. They put the beds together and hooked up the washer and dryer for us. Best part: the quote was right-on. They did not charge us for anything unexpected. In past moves, with other companies, we've experienced the actual cost being much higher than the quote, but not with Two Men! We will definitely use them again! (Hopefully, not too soon....I hate moving!, but they made it pleasurable!)
Description of Work: Moved us from a two bedroom two bath upstairs apartment to a house approx 1 mile away. Arrived slightly early (good thing!)and were very quick and strong. Move included large front-loader washing machine and dryer and many heavy boxes.

However, Final bill was high and when I called to see why I was informed that not only do they start charging you when they leave their place of business they keep charging you untill they return to their place of business. Thus I was not happy about! I will not use again nor will I recommend.
Description of Work: We purchased a few heavy items at an auction and needed help moving them. Movers got lost but, were very kind enough to call and let us know plus not charge us for their mess up. Movers arrived, very nice and professional did a great job moving our items everything arrived in great condition. Very pleased with the guys that moved our items!
