Ryan Lawn and Tree

Service was prompt, professional and costly.

We have a regular contract with them and they come out on a regular basis. They leave a sign in the yard once they are done. They do well. We have had this contract with them for several years. Their price is reasonable. We will continue to use them in the future.

Was on time. Very polite. Very professional - he knew what he was doing. The $55 service call fee was reasonable. I do not know if the cost for sprinkler heads was reasonable, but if it's typical you overpay some for the parts in order to get the experienced technican. I will use this company again.

Rigo(?) was great. He was friendly and knew what he was doing. Would use again.

They sprayed our bushes and trees because I was having some problems with some disease. They do the normal kind of stuff. I think they are pretty fair with their price but I don't have too much to compare with. They're recommendation has been qualified for this kind of problems so I hired them. The quality is fine and you only compare it if the bugs come back. They just gave me a day and I was not at home but I don't need to be home. As far as I know they are fine but I haven't dealt with them much.

We regurarily get compliments on how nice our lawn looks, and it's all because of the professional work and timing of their work. They are always very detailed in what they do, very personalized, and we've only had 2-3 guys do the work over the course of all those years! We can not recommend them enough!

I tried replacing diaphragms in some faulty irrigation valves. What ended up happening is the valves wouldn't shut off, with or without power from the control box. the main shut off for the sprinklers was rusted and the handle was broken off. The only way to shut off the sprinkler heads was to shut off the water supply at the curb - which also cut the water to my house! After trying to fix it myself for 3 hours, I decided I was in over my head. I saw the grades for Reid here on Angie's List and gave them a call. Marge answered the phone. Without details of my situation, I asked when a service rep could come look at my sprinkler system. She said the first opening was on Thursday (4 days from now). I then explained my dilemma and she put me on hold. A minute later she said she could have a rep come out in about 45 minutes given the emergency situation. WOW, what personal care for a brand new customer! Lupe pulled up in exactly 45 minutes. He gave me options to either repair the faulty valves or place a shut-off valve in the box to temporarily get water to the house without soaking my lawn too. I was impressed with his honesty and willingness to do either job. Lupe was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took great care to preserve my lawn where he had to dig. In fact, I can't tell where he actually dug the hole because he was so careful to place the grass back perfectly. THANK YOU Lupe and Reid Irrigation!

They treated the yard as well as trees. They are timely and clean. They are definite in what they did.

They had very good communication. I was able to communicate with the technician in our area by both email and phone. He was prompt in responding and good to communicate with.

It was a very satisfying experience and we were pleased with the work.

I called Reid and explained my needs on my sprinkler system. They arrived on time and provided two quotes for required repairs and my wish list. I thought the prices were fair and selected to do the whole project. They completed the job on the same day. It really was a pleasant experience. They were tidy and left the area well kept. Oh and the system works great with no wasted water.

Two years ago, we had a fertilizing unit connected to our sprinkler system. It was to be filled with an organic mix of things that promote growth and deter mosquitos. It worked alright, but in the second season, the company that installed it no longer filled it with anything, despite our repeated requests to do so. So, bottom line, it did not work. In conjunction with the installation of this fertilizer system, we had the auto fill component of our pool disabled and sealed off so we wouldn't get the yard mixture in the pool water. We had also had a lot of landscaping done and the sprinklers did not cover a large portion of the front yard, did not adequately cover the beds and as a consequence, a lot of shrubs died and there was a bald spot in the front lawn. I called Reid, who set an appointment the next day. They showed up on time, and gave me an estimate which I approved. They worked all day and got everything done, except for finishing reconnecting the auto fill function. They came back later that night, after going to another job, and then again first thing the next morning. The re-connection took quite some time, but we were not charged extra for it. The sprinkler now covers it all and the beds which were not getting the right amount of water are now watered perfectly. Our driveway is not soaking wet either, and the postman likes that he does not have to get wet every time the sprinkler is going, as the sidewalks remain dry.

This would be the third summer for treating in for my lawn. Ours is running around a 110 per application and I think they do side applications for me, but then I have a large yard. They do what they say they would do. They would do it for the price they would do it. They are extremely professional. I have been very happy with them. My mother is also using them. She has a much smaller yard and she pays less. The amount is determined by the size of the yard. She should be paying less because she has a far smaller yard than mine. I have the same guy, Jeremy is very responsive and very professional. He is very friendly, even if I just ask him a question he will call back and leave me a message with an answer. It's been very positive. I would use them again in the future.

I have known Larry Ryan since I was a child and I wouldn't consider using anyone else!

They know what they are doing. Everybody has complimented me on my lawn since I hired them. My lawn is the best looking one in the neighborhood. They planted the right grass at the right time and gave it the right food. They come and do it, they send me a bill and I pay it. They do all the work and I just cut it. They are top grade all the way.

I had a great interaction with them. I spent about $750 on the job. They were very professional and very nice. They cut down a big tree in two hours. I got a 20% discount for the winter. I will surely use them again in the future.

Everything turned out very good. I found them on Angie's List, but I heard about them before. I would recommend them. They are a good tree trimming company. I haven't used any of their other services, so I do'nt know about that. Their arborists that came out seem to know what they are doing. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves real well. I haven't had much experience with arborists but I considered their price a little high. They had a long schedule, so it took them a month to come out but they did good work, the just had a long list of people to do I guess. They came out on time. Their professionalism was very good.

The process was fine and they were on time. They were just higher with the price than anyone else that gave me a bid.

We were pleased with how the job went. We've got a large elm, whose branches hang over the house and Ryan got that tree trimmed back considerably. The job took the better part of the day, cleanup was good, and they were able to get us on their schedule fairly quickly, during a busy time of year.

The weed control was ineffective. Simply spraying didn't take care of the issue. They sprayed again, and there wasn't much improvement there. I told them to discontinue their services. Although they had a satisfaction guarantee policy, they have turned the bill over to a collection agency, who have been hounding us for that money for the past two years.

I had this tree trimmed about three years ago by another company, and I could hardly tell they did anything. They left low-hanging branches so that you couldn't even walk under the tree. Ryan's did a great job, removing and pruning the lower branches to about 10 or 11 feet above the ground. They thinned the upper branches to allow more light light into to the middle of the tree (making it healthier). Also, the trunk splits into two main section just about four or five feet from the ground, making it susceptible to splitting from high winds or ice. They suggested installing a cable between the two main leads high up in the branches. I decided to go ahead, an appreciated the suggestion to prevent future damage to the tree. I was very happy with the job they did.

Everything went well, they showed up on time and did a fabulous job. My lawn looks great!

Overall it could not have gone better. I found them to be thorough in the diagnosis, knowledgeable in the options, and professional in the clarity of the explanations. They then fixed each problem, and there were quite a few, in a way that I could understand what they were doing. The system now works perfectly. I would definitely hired them again.

The Ryan people were prompt, professional, worked quickly, and the final price was less than the estimate. I requested a copy of Ryan's liability insurance certificate, which was promptly emailed to me. They did a great job and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Outstanding work by expert technicians. My yard and property never looked better. I had to discontinue due to the price, though. They're the most expensive provider I've used.
