Ryan Lawn and Tree

It just took a day or two to schedule an appointment. Jose was on time for the appointment. He assessed the situation thoroughly, wrote an estimate and explained everything written on the estimate, and left without any pressure on me to take the bid. When the bid was accepted, they came right back out and took care of each problem. Service and work were excellent.

He got right back with me. He was very punctual and showed up the day after I called him. He sent me a receipt with a detail of the expenses showing were all the money went and I did appreciate that. The cost was very reasonable for what he had to do.

We have been using this company for several years and could not be happier! Our yard looks beautiful, they are very reliable and dependable. ALWAYS courteous and trustworthy. They treat my yard as if it were their own. We also have a rental property, and they take care of the yard there as well. We have referred several people to them who have always been happy with the service. We had one neighbor that asked us on 3 different occasions (spanning 3 summers) about our lawn service. He finally gave in a couple of years ago and called them and told us that his yard has never looked better. So happy to have found them!

I have had Ryan Lawn Care take care of my yard for three of the past four years. I have a yearly contract which includes ten services (including aeration). After the first year, I was happy with the work they did, but decided to try a cheaper outfit. You get what you pay for. I went back to Ryan and have been very pleased with the way my yard has looked over the past two summers (even with the drought). They are very courteous and professional, and are always willing to answer whatever questions I may have. While their prices are not the cheapest, they are not the most expensive either, and they do good solid, reliable work.

Ryan Lawn saved our terrible lawn! Our house had been vacant for 2 years while it sat on the market, then we moved in as newlyweds who had no idea how to take care of a lawn. We finally called in Ryan, and within 30 days, saw improvement. Now, almost a year later, it's gone from the worst lawn to the best on our block! I highly recommend Ryan Lawn.

They came and took out the tree in a timely manner as I had to have it out so I could plant the Apollo Maple. They also took out the stump for me. It was a good job. Fortunately I am next to the parking lot of a church so the tree could fall on that and easily hauled off. But when they took out the two silver maples in my back yard, that was really difficult. They had to take one out which was in a privacy fence and the other out of the east side of my back yard, which tree was in a 5' fenced area.

They showed up did an excellent job and left. I wish all the contractors I deal with were as professional as this company. Tom, who gave me the estimate was great. Sara who trimmed the trees was excellent as was John who hauled off the limbs. So refreshing for people to show up looking and acting professionally as opposed to the ones who look like they just got out of prison and every other sound out of their mouths is a grunt or a curse word. They are extremely friendly. I have had such awful experiences with contractors that it is really refreshing to do business with these people. These people are all certified arborist, not just guys who can afford a chain saw and a pickup. They obviously know what they are doing. I am going to see if they also tile floors and install doors or if they are willing to learn.....

They were very professional. They had a whole crew out and were done in one day. They cleaned-up very thouroughly and removed the big trunk pieces within a few days. Then they came and ground the stumps within a week and filled in the holes. I was very satisfied with the entire job.

They're great. They blew out all the lines, got all the water out and then turned everything off. Also, he checked all the sprinklers to see if any of them were damaged.

Larry Ryan is excellent. He had previously come out to look at my lawn and provide advice without charge. Because of his professionalism and courtesy, when I had damage from a storm I used his company. The removal was completed promptly and without disruption to my neighbors. Their fees are higher because they use the proper disposal methods.

Good honest people that you can trust. They are always on time and try very hard to do their best and please their customers. I will highly recommend them.

Called one day and a few days later it was done. They were in and out in a reasonle timel They were neat and efficient.They will be back after three weeks to recheck and spot seed if necessary. We are well pleased with work done and the results.

In late July/early August we were had a really bad problem with chiggers in our backyard. Both me and my dogs were getting eaten alive. Each time I would mow I'd end up with 3 or 4 new chigger bites, and our French Bulldog puppy had bites all over. I had called a number of different outfits to ask about laying down a bug application and turns out a majority of them don't serve Lawrence. I rec'd estimates from two companies, one of which was Ryan Lawn & Tree. The other company's estimate was slightly lower (seriously, only by like $5... almost negligible) so I scheduled a service call with them. I told them how bad we were being bitten and they said they would put a "rush" on the service call and a technician would be out shortly. Long story short, after over a week w/o a technician I called and asked to talk to a scheduler (not customer service). Turns out the other company waits until they have a certain number of service calls for Lawrence before they will send a technician to Lawrence. I cancelled that service call and immediately called Ryan Lawn & Tree back. I called them on a Friday and their technician laid an application on our yard the following Tuesday (two business days). The technician even left a personalized note on the invoice on my front door reminding me not to cut my lawn too short in the hot/dry months. He even called and left a message on my cell phone to let me know that he had completed the job and to call him if we had any questions.

The service technician, is trustworthy and timely with treatments. I feel they are an honest company to deal with.

Jason works diligently, comes quickly if we have a problem and is a joy to do business with.

Reid Irrigation clearly is very popular, as it took a bit longer than I would have liked to get them to come out. However, I cannot fault the thoroughness and quality of the work at all. Jose did a wonderful job explaining the problems and the pricing. A week or so later, we noticed another issue and we called Reid. This time, Jose came out the very next day and fixed the problem with no charge, as the work is under warranty. We will use Reid Irrigation again.

I have been using them for about 15 years and they are nice guys to work with. They have always been very responsive to any concerns I have.

I called Ryan Lawn & Tree Monday afternoon and requested an estimate to have dead wood and over-hanging branches removed from a very large tree in our front yard in western Johnson County Kansas. Tuesday morning, Mr. Synder was at the house. He provided me with a written estimate and sketch that included service and disposal. He said a crew would be available next week to complete the work. Thursday, I received a call that a crew was in the area and would be able to prune the tree with my consent. The next thing I knew, 3 trucks and 4 workmen were in front of the house. They were professionally equipped to do the job and had it completed and cleaned up within 2 hours. The tree looks great and it really has improved the curb appeal of the house. I'm so glad I called Ryan Lawn & Tree!

Dealt with both Ronnie (Manager) and Jason. They were on time and seemed very knowledgeable and professional. They performed services on time and we have had good results. We have used several other companies in the past and Ryan Lawn is much better.

They have an awful lot of people that they serve in this area, and the reason that they are serving a lot of people is because they are reliable. They charge a little bit more, but they are reliable, they say what they are going to do, and they do it. I pay for their services yearly in December or January, and that covers the whole year. I can have things added to it if I want to. I do it that way because it is cheaper than paying for their services each time I call them, and it would probably be too late by the time I call them anyway. They seem to be terribly responsive to their customer’s needs. If I call them up and tell them that I have a problem, they will come out and have a look at it pretty quickly. If I need a tree trimmed, they have an arborist that comes out, looks at the tree, gives it an evaluation, and says what it needs. If I want it cut down or trimmed, he’ll come out and trim it in the best way possible. They come out and do it sometime within a time frame of two weeks after I have talked to them. They come in, and leave an envelope on my door that has a bill for their work, and an explanation of what was done, usually handwritten and signed by the person who did it. Usually, if there is something that is not working out right I call them, they come out, evaluate it, and do the best they can to correct it. We had some evergreens here that were affected by a Dupont spray that they used for something on the grass. They contacted us to tell us about the Dupont lawsuit that was under way for this particular spray having caused this on a number of evergeens. They came back in a couple of hours and saw that we had three or four trees that were affected by this. So they submitted the information on the lawsuit, and for a lot of their other clients too. Because of the way they handled it, they were upfront with it, and communicated with us, everyone was impressed with their honesty in pursuing this kind of thing. Landscape gardening is such that because of the nature of the people that are in that area, many of them are just people who don’t know anything, and they just do it because it’s an easy way to make a buck. When I find somebody in that area that does a quality job and is customer friendly, that’s really unique. I try to keep that person, unless something happens and they start deteriorating, which can always happen, but at the present time, that is not the case.

Ronny arrives when we are usually at work we arrive to a sprayed yard with invoice that explains what was done. Good prices & the yard books amazing.

We've been very please with the looks of our yard since changing to Ryan.
