He sat down with us and explained his role, and what he could and couldn't do. Provider had a list of certifications, etc., a mile long. Took lots of time and was unhurried. Explained everything as he went along. His follow-up report gave us specific and detailed ideas about what to to do next. More than what we expected!

That turned out fine. One technician came out and it took him about 2 hours. He helped us figure out that the furnace was not working property. He pointed out a couple of other things that were leaking that we were able to fix. He did not bring the thermal camera though and I wished that he would have.

Joel outlined a comprehensive list of suggested repairs and improvements including removing redundant ducting (separating the two floors), adding new ducting for additional vents in the upstairs bedrooms and closets, sealing and insulating all ducts in the crawl space, adding a radiant barrier in the attic, adding blow in insulation in the attic and spray foam insulation on the pony walls, and adding heat to the upstairs unit. This work took longer than expected and proved challenging as identifying all of the leaks required additional time and material. I am writing this review 4 months after the work was done...we would have been miserably cold in our house this winter had Elite Air not fixed our system. We even had dinner guests comment that our house didn't feel 'drafty like most old homes'! Joel and his team were always professional...they have defined a new standard at our house by which all other contractors will be compared.

It was great! They were very honest and trustworthy. We have two houses and we’ve used them at each. This was the first time I had used them, and I would use them again in the future as well as recommend them to others.

I called this company, based on satisfaction with work done earlier in the year, and one other company that I had also had work done by in the past, for estimates on the new system. Ken Tedder came out to do the estimate, and I was very impressed with his thoroughness, and his patience with my many questions! I told him I was particularly interested in a brand that they don't normally sell, so he did a lot of research on the make and model in question, and provided me with literature on it. He didn't try to force me to install their main brand, which I appreciated. The other company's estimate was perfectly adequate, and their representative very pleasant also, but Ken was just over the top. The installation went smoothly except that they had been supplied with the wrong thermostat. When they got the correct one, it was easier to install, and worked like a charm (except for a minor glitch, that was operator error on my part!). Although it was a more expensive thermostat then the original, they didn't charge me any extra, and came in right at their estimate. I upgraded from an old 10 SEER unit to a 16 SEER heat pump with a two stage compressor, matched to an air handler with a variable speed blower. This set-up qualified me for a $400 rebate from AEP/PSO, and also qualifies for a Federal Tax Credit. I can really tell a difference in the comfort level in the house since I had this done. I would happily recommend Elite Service to anyone.

The onset of winter weather has revealed that my house has some definite shortcomings in terms of energy efficiency, so I decided that I should have an energy audit to determine how I might resolve some of these issues. I saw the Angie's List deal for an energy audit, so I figured I would act on the serendipitous offer. I was contacted shortly after purchasing the deal through Angie's list to schedule an appointment, and this was followed up by a call to confirm the appointment when the actual date got nearer. On the day of the audit, Joel showed up on time and was very professional and helpful. He went through the house pointing out areas that may need improvement and explaining why and how much each item might help. Thus far I've only gotten estimates for some work, but I will probably act on some them using Elite Service in the near future. Even if I don't it was worth it just for all the things I learned about my house.

Bought this deal in October and did not hear from the service company until I called them about 3 weeks later to schedule the installation. They scheduled someone to come look at the unit to see if it could installed properly. They said no problem and that they would call to schedule an appointment to come out to install the unit. Another 3-4 weeks went by and no word from them on scheduling the installation. I called them and scheduled the installation for the following week and the installer was 2 hours late and then after about an hour told me that he couldn't install the unit without extensively modifying the furnace which would be and additional 3-4 hours of labor.

Buyer beware - keep communications regarding prices in writing if possible! Initially the scheduling got off to a rough start. 1st 2 appointments were canceled by provider for various reasons/excuses. Then there was some confusion as to whether or not the product advertised with the special was compatible with my system (which it was not) but they upgraded it to a unit that was compatible at no charge. On my 4th (or 5th) attempt to schedule with them - I learned they had my install on route for that day and the technician would arrive shortly. A little notice would've been nice, but I was happy to finally get it done after nearly 2-weeks. Tech that performed the install was very professional. Did great work. Update to previous review: I just returned from vacation to discover this company has since sent multiple past due notices - billing an additional $150. As previously noted - the advertised special I bought here on Angieslist wasn't compatible with my furnace. The company did advise in advance that my application would cost an additional $100 (not $150) but I had assumed they waived that due to the scheduling issues. Appears that the $389 Angieslist "special" has turned into a $539 scam. The technician was very nice and did a good job. Installation took him about an hour. The humidifier retails for ~$225...$314 for 1-man and 1-hour of labor is a little excessive! No special tools or materials were needed and it doesn't exactly look like a professional install....basically just wired it up and plumbed it with a saddle-valve. My only issues with Elite was the scheduling and upfront costs communications. Being in the service business myself - sending your customer an additional and inflated bill months later is just poor/shady business practice. Will pay the additional $100 I was originally quoted. Probably wouldn't use them again. To date the system is functioning properly. Requires frequent adjustment due to varying temps and interior condensation. Am having to change the return air-filter about once a month, but it has made a noticeable difference in our home and we're breathing better!

When the deal was purchased on Angies List, they called a few times to schedule. Our problem was, we had just purchased the home and time got away from us. In June they called to schedule. I thanked them, we scheduled, and they never showed up. I was pleased that they called, as I was under the impression that the deal had expired, but she assured me it was no problem and they would still perform service. However, on the morning they were scheduled I waited an hour past the scheduled time and they never showed. There was no call to follow up or apologize.

Tech showed up 15 minutes early, did a full system on both units. Very professional. Answered all my questions.

They were great and the scheduler was great. They were on-time, friendly and knowledgeable. One thing that was confusing was that Angie’s List gave them my billing address so he didn’t show up at our property initially but after he arrived everything went smoothly.

Came out two days after being called. I told them the blower fan or motor was making noise, but they had neither when they came out. Spent a few minutes looking at it and said it was the blower fan and they would have to find the part and they also said itwould be safe to continue running it until it quit and wouldn't run anymore. Also said they would call and set up an appointment when they found the part. Well, several days later on a Friday evening the blower quit. Called again and they said they hadn't found the part yet, so they couldn't make it out to repair until the next Tuesday. Came out and repaired on Tuesday. I have no way of knowing for sure but I suspect that running it with a bad blower fan probably burned up the motor causing a much more costly repair.

Went well. Thermostat was installed and is slightly crooked as it hangs. Overall pleased with the service. Conducted an energy audit, which was very informative. Would use again.

I chose Elite because the individual (Joel) that came out to do the estimate was extremely knowledgeable. I don't know if he owns the company, but he was there when the men started the job, he problem solved with me and gave me options that were reasonable, cost-effective and met my energy needs. I am extremely satisfied with the service and outcome.

I looked at their website and ultimately spoke directly with them. The process stopped fairly quickly due to costs.

My fault, got busy with personal stuff and did not get back with them.

Joel Kinsch came out to do the audit. I was impressed with his thoroughness and the time he took, both to look all over the house, and also to ask what things I had done towards improving energy efficiency up to that point. I had a lot of questions for him, which he answered very patiently, so I learned quite a bit! He followed up a few days later with an AEP/PSO energy audit report, and a proposal with his recommendations for work to be done. I declined to have my ten year old heat pump system replaced at this time, even though its rating is not up to current standards, and, as Joel pointed out, it has undoubtedly lost some of its initial efficiency over the years. This was just not an expense I wanted to incur at this time, although I realize it's looming somewhere in my future! The two recommendations that I chose to have done were removing the existing duct wrap in my crawl space, resealing the existing duct, and re-wrapping it with R8 insulation. Also adding a second return air grill and sealing the plenum. His crew arrived promptly as scheduled , and put in a full day's work getting these two jobs taken care of. I had known the old duct insulation was in bad shape, but had no idea how bad! The duct itself had never been properly connected or sealed, and had actually come apart (This is an early 1970s house), and in places was actually being held in place by the insulation! One elbow had to be replaced, an unscheduled event that they took care of. The new air return grill was installed efficiently and neatly. Can't say enough about both Joel, and the crew he sent out (Jack, Eric, and another Joel). They were all knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and very pleasant to have working in my house. They also cleaned up every speck of mess they made. In spite of the situation being worse than expected, I was only charged the estimated price.

The experience was great. The gentlemen were polite, professional, were informative and cleaned up the work area. i will not hesitate to use their services again.

I contated Elite for cooling/heating units to replace our old ones. Elite provided a bid promptly, in comparison with some other companies that would never give us a bid. I asked Ken(project manager) many questions regarding what would suit our home over the period of one month. Every time, Ken responded patiently, thoroughly and promptly. Ken never pushed us to buy expensive units, which is very much appreciated by us. Elite encouraged us to do research and learn more about what we want. When we decided to go with Elite, we had to change starting date several times due to bad weather, Elite kept in close contact with us almost daily monitoring weather. Elite's crew did a wonderful job installing new units. We are very happy with their service. Will recommend to anybody.

The service was great. We had no complaints. They were friendly, courteous, and prompt. They were professional to work with as well. You could not even tell they were in our home.

The service met my expectations. The representative was prompt ourteous and thorough.

I've used this company for many years and have been happy with their service. I pay in the spring for both my spring and fall maintenance so that is why my cost for the November service was "0" spent.
