Air Assurance

They come out every six months for maintenance. The overall experience has been very good. The heat and the air work better than they did in the old one. There were sales going on that year when we bought it so the price was fine.

It was the original unit and the air conditioning went out and the furnace was coughing. So we just replaced the whole system. My daughter had a baby and moved within two or three months. So, I was out of state. I had already contracted with him. So he and I did a lot of telephone agreements, emailing back and forth. It's a good company. I'm impressed with their performance. We did wind up doing things that I had asked about. I was thinking that my duct work might have clogged somewhere in the house just because of air delivery and lot of dust in the house. So we wound up doing duct work in addition to the HVAC. We would up doing some insulation up in the attic. So it was more than $8000 by the time we got through. They gave me three options. I don't know whether he intended to do it, but he did wind up being my general contractor because he got the HVAC system installed and he walked me through that very very confusing rebate program and he coordinated all of the duct work and insulation work. So I just wound up writing him the check for all of it. I was just grateful that he did all of that because I was in Atlanta and all this was going on in Iowa city. If a friend or family member was going to use him I would tell them that they're going to get options in their ball parks and tell Air Assurance which option they want. I could have gone with a $20,000 installation but when they started talking about poking house and the roof and running new duct work and everything like that I thought, "Well, I don't think the house is worth a $20,000 HVAC system." So he gave me options and told me the pros and cons and then was very patient. I had called and asked for questions. I even wrote up a bunch of questions and emailed them to him and he answered them one by one. I think his pricing was right there on the mark.

My furnace check was due before the holidays, but I'm a caregiver for my father, and I had to keep putting it off. They kept on top of reminding me that it was needed. They knew that if I didn't get it checked out by Februrary 28th, I would lose out on a $30 rebate. This didn't have anything to do with them--it was strictly about making sure I got my rebate. That's customer service. They made sure that the check got done in time and told me how to make sure that I got my rebate.While they were here, I had a crack in my heat exchanger. They noted it, and let me know that they had to turn off the furnace because it was a CO threat. They loaned me, for free, space heaters to take care of me over the weekend when my furnace had to be off. And this isn't because I'm on the annual plan, this is something they would do for any customer. Despite legally having to shut down my heater, they wanted to be certain that I would be warm and safe. They did all the scheduling with the utility company and the city to bring them out and do all the testing, etc., they needed to do. Tony, Jim, Martin, Daniel, they're all incredible at Air Assurance. They did my installation today and were finished half an hour early, AND had already set up to have everything inspected by the city and the utility company. My father has been in a skilled care facility for the last month, and if it weren't for Air Assurance, I would not have been able to see him every day the way I have. They have gone out of their way to make it possible for me to continue to care for him while dealing with these issues, and to make sure that I got every possible rebate to save money in my time of need, even working with the utility company and doing all the paperwork to make sure I got $2700 worth of rebates.The rebates they were able to give back to me have made it possible for me to help my father take care of his medications. I can't think of a better hero than these four men who've had my back these last five days.

The service tech work on the drain for awhile and came to the conclusion that the home builder must have cleaned their tools in the bathtub and a chunk of cement never made it into the sewer line, but instead hardened in the drain line. He said that it would probably require jack hammering the slab under the tub to be able to fix the problem. Service calls with other companies I have had dealings with meant a service tech would work the problem until they determined that (a) the problem could be fixed and provide an estimate or (b) the problem could not be fixed. By the time he left, I had spent $250 with nothing to show for it. I was contacted by Air Assurance after my initial review was posted. They offered to refund the additional $180 and provide free HVAC inspections/checkups for one year. They inspected my AC last week and will come back in the fall to inspect the furnace. For me, it is how problems are handled that really show the quality of the company you are dealing with. Air Assurance's willingness to set things right will result in me being a return customer. I will gladly use them again in the future.

He did what I needed done.

The service itself is okay, but my problem is not solved. They helped me figure out the real problem. I was not at home, but I think he is good and everything is fine. They asked me to pay extra for the service, I called them, they said they made a mistake and it was corrected and they didn't charge me anything extra. I would use them in the future.

I was amazed that within 4 hours of my call, i had a working furnace again. The technician was very polite, friendly, and answered all of my questions. He explained to me exactly what the problem was, and how he diagnosed it. It needed a new part, and after he called it in, a driver dropped off the new part within an hour. Great service and great technician. The part was expensive, but I would definitely call these guys again when needed.

This was a bad experience. I just needed to get a piece of the flusher fixed. This company ended up charging additional money, I would not have minded a small charge but it was like $80 more. He also chipped a piece of my toliet.

Took no time at all to unclog with no problems. Gave great advice on other projects we plan on doing. I will use Air Assurance again in the future!!

Fantastic! The technician performed the repair. We even had the pleasant surprise of when the final bill totaled it was less than the estimate because the part was lower than expected! Very satisfied.

Actually, there was no charge because this service is paid once a year for two tune-ups. The yearly charge is $156.00, which when divided by two, is $78.00 (lower than most Fall or Spring HVCA tune-ups. It also includes many other services. Steve Erwin came out to service our HVAC for our ESP plan. This includes cleaning out the outside unit and checking how everything is running. He was very courteous and polite. He informed me about a rebate from ONG that I didn?t know anything about. Not only did he inform me, but he also filled out everything on the form except our ONG customer service number and our signatures. This is a wonderful company to work with. Keep up the great service and your great integrity.

This contractor did an excellent, timely job and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this company.

Our experience with Air Assurance was wonderful. Steve Erwin was our technician and he did a fantastic job. He had us up and running within the hour. Today it is suppose to be over 100 degrees so we were very thankful that they were so fast at getting to us. We will be using them in the future we even bought their service contract to keep everything running smoothly. So thank you to Air Assurance and especially to Steve.

Steve Erwin, who has been doing my semiannual HVAC service for well over 15 years, made a special trip out to my house after his shift was over. He quickly diagnosed the problem. He explained what he checked and what he found in layman's terms and after my agreement, he replaced the part and the unit once again is working thankfully since the outside temperature is 101 degrees. He has advised that since my unit is 25 years old and some of the incentives may be going away at year end that this would be a good time to replace this failing unit with a new much more efficient unit. I have made an appointment to have an evaluation done to suggest replacement. I trust Steve implicitly and his recommendation is all I need to make the change.

Technician was on time and in uniform. He had his ID in hand when we answered the door. He was very friendly and efficient. This was the first tune up of the HVAC system since we moved into the house two years ago. He found no issues. We had just replaced the air filters before he came so they did not have to be replaced (or he would have done it).

Everything went wonderfully - my salesman Michael was wonderful and made sure everything was done quickly and efficiently I am very happy and would definitely use them again.

Rico arrived quickly and was professional and friendly. He discovered the problem quickly and set about repairing the burnt wiring. He also gave a quick inspection of my furnace while he was here. Rico was quite informative on quiestions that I asked.

Our central air unit quit working so we called Air Assurance out to look at it. Given the time of year and the temperature lately we figured we'd have to wait for at least a day or two. They sent a man out in less than 4 hours and he very quickly found the problem and took care of it. He also sold us a yearly maintenance plan which would have found this problem before it became a problem. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their heat or a/c unit repaired. This company is definitely A+

Perfect. Did not have to pay for a new thermostat (Even though it was 6 years old it was Under Warranty) Been using Air Assurance for over 10 years - Service at my home and rent house. They always do a great job.

The service was fine. They did an evaluation and gave us a second opinion about enlarging the air ducts.
