Description of Work: My husband called the office, and Mike came out to our home to see the work that was needed to be done. Included gutters, breakwork around windows and some other items. The initial visit seemed to go well, and Mike promised to get back to us the following week with a proposal. We waited a week, and called the office where the person said they would hand the message to Mike. We waited another week, and called again. This time, Mike waivered saying he was very very busy, but would do a proposal if we really wanted him too. But it could take months to get the work done. Our impression was that he was not interested in the work, or unable to do it. If that was the case, it would have been helpful for him to state that early on so we didn't waste two weeks waiting. We certainly understand the reality of business, but Courtesy of an honest response would have meant that we could have held him in higher regard at the end of the day instead of questioning his business integrity.

Description of Work: We own a large colonial home with cedar wood siding. When we purchased the home we had the entire house painted. Unfortunately, the paint did not last long before excess pealing, etc. Needless to say we were disappointed and when we pursued the cost to repaint, it was more than triple the cost of the original job to strip and re-paint the home again. We began to explore the option of siding our home (1940 built, two-story colonial, approx. 4500 sq. ft). We solicited multiple bids and became impressed by the options presented by Bob LaRiche of Mike's Home Improvement. We ended up selecting a 9" cedar shake vinyl siding from CertainTeed that looks like real cedar shake. Our neighbors don't believe us that it is vinyl. Needless to say, the home looks like a new home again. We selected a terra cotta color and it looks fantastic in the wooded setting of our property. Bob was thorough in his assessment of what we needed and was very flexible in proposing options and alternatives. Along the way, there were modifications needed to trim piece usage and color choice and they accommodated the changes even when it required rework. The installers were professional and consultative. The project took about 9 days for the siding and 1.5 days for the gutters. We are very pleased with the work and highly recommend using Mike's for your home improvement needs.
