Brandon was wonderful to work with on this project. He was responsive, professional and did the job on time. We love the way our patio and fire pit look.

He took the time to talk with me about what I was wanting. the deal offered was not the same as the picture representation and it ended up being more than I wanted to spend, but he was nice to work with and very respectful

When Brandon initially came out to give us an estimate, we spoke at length about the walkway and porch landing that we wanted, and he drew it with spray paint on the ground so that we were all on the same page. A couple days later he provided an estimate, which seemed reasonable. However, when I got home after he had installed the walkway and landing, it was significantly different than what we had discussed. The walkway wasn't curved, as we had discussed, and the landing was actually a couple feet smaller than we had discussed. When I told him the landing was too small, he said that the square footage that we paid for did not not allow for a larger landing. I felt this was really unprofessional, and was very disappointed in the way it looked. I was truly amazed when he told me that, if this had been a bigger job, he could see fixing it (our job cost about $3500). I know he didn't mean to offend, because he does seem like a truly nice guy. But that is no way to do business. He came back a few days later, adding about 6 inches to the landing using the leftovers from our job. But honestly, it looks tacked on. He made a point of telling us that if we wanted him to do more, we'd have to pay extra, and we'd have to wait a long while, as he was very busy. Not a good experience overall.

The landscaping came out so nice that the neighbors all stop to tell me how beautiful it is.

It went really well. Although Great Escapes was delayed many times by poor weather, the delay was totally understandable. When they were able to get at it, they moved very quickly and professionally. Great crew, very clean cut. I felt they did a great job not just with the "job" but kind of going the extra step of making sure the fit and finish was good. No complaints. Very pleasant experience.

Our experience with Great Escapes was terrific. Brandon, the owner visited our home twice prior to the start of the project and produced multiple renderings for us to contemplate. Even though late spring, early summer is the busiest time for this type of business, he remained very responsive to calls, email and texts. Brandon is courteous, professional and kind and is extremely knowledgeable. The first task that had to be accomplished was removal of an old deck. We did not know what was underneath but discovered that there was a concrete slab that needed removal. Brandon quickly adjusted by finding the right vendor to haul away the material and procuring the correct equipment to do the job. Brandon was very transparent about the additional cost that we would incur due to the unexpected discovery and communicated well throughout. After preparing the area, Brandon personally graded the space for optimal water management and his crew took great care to be sure the foundation was prepared just right. After the foundation was set it took a few days for the pavers to be laid, the pergola to be build and the beds to be created. From beginning to end the whole job took about 8 days. Brandon and his crew took great care to get the job right and it is evident that they take great pride in their work. We would definitely use Great Escapes again and would recommend them to anyone contemplating this sort of project.

Brandon is honest, professional, and very down to earth. He answered all of our questions and kept us in the loop throughout the project with updates. His team was efficient and courteous. They even offered to haul away large branches from a tree we had cut down earlier in the week. The fence looks great and we are thrilled with the service and the results! I had to leave 3 messages before I heard back from him. After that everything went smoothly and today they finished the job The crew work non stop until it was finished and answer all my questions.

I am new to Angie's List and I was a bit apprehensive about this deal. My sister in law sent me the information and assured me that Angie's list was a good source. I just couldn't believe that this deal could be true! It seemed too good to be true. First off, Brandon was really nice about trying to fill me in as I had mentioned he was so busy. He helped me minimize costs and was very knowledgeable about the permit needed from the city. His communication skills were an A++ Once the inspection was completed he was there the very NEXT DAY! His prompt service was excellent! I cannot say more about his professionalism. He smiles a lot and made me feel that I was in good hands right from the start. The day of the job, he arrived promptly with two other men who were just as nice as he was. They all were so great I loved them so much! They finished in one day ABOVE my expectations. They stayed into the late hours to finish. I asked a couple favors of him that he didn't need to do and he did no problem. His crew were dressed very presentable and all were courteous and kind. They cleaned up the work area when they were finished better than I would even have expected. This company blew me away. Thank you Angie's list for helping me with this one! I was feeling so overwhelmed about this job and now I am so pleased how easy this was. I am a happy client and will be referring everyone I know to Brandon and Great Escapes Landscaping LLC Medina. Overall, I like them very much. We had a little trouble scheduling. I think he got a lot of big deals and he work mostly on his own so we had a little trouble getting it set up. It was partly the weather last summer too. Every time it would rain, he would put back a little but he did really good work. He brought one person with him when he came. It was a one-day job. It was very quick. Their punctuality and professionalism were very well. The quality of their service was excellent.

He was very timely in responding and professional, but after measuring our patio we realized that this deal will not fit our needs.

The contractor was great. Brandon is very personable man and patient. He was very gracious in offering his knowledge and he was very helpful.

They showed up when they said they would. I had to show them step by step what they needed to do since it was two high school guys. They two guys could have used some supervised.

I would advise against purchasing his Deal without discussing his availability. I first contacted Great Escapes Landscaping the end of July regarding the $1,100 Deal for 100 sq ft of pavers. I contacted him to ask about adding stairs and some additional tree and shrub trimming work. Brandon did not reply for 2 weeks (when the Deal was over) and then said they were completely booked up until mid-October. But soon after I noticed they were running another special for $749 for 20 hrs landscaping work. I contacted him through Angie's List regarding the special and in his reply he told me to schedule a time for him to come out and look at what needs to be done. When I called I asked if I should go ahead an pay for the $749 Deal online so I could be placed on his schedule before he was booked up again. He told me not to order the Deal and said my job sounded to small for his company (even though what I need done is more work than either of these Deals includes). He gave me the cell phone number of another guy who does smaller jobs and recommended I call him instead. My objection is that he continues to run Deals on Angie's List yet didn't even have time to come out and give me an estimate.

We were satisfied. They forgot to stake a tree, which was another thing we expected them to do. We had to purchase the French drain materials separately, so I am not entirely sure we got a great deal.

They basically rebuilt our patio, built a fire pit and reconfigured all of our flower beds. They were terrific and creative. They worked like crazy. I thought their pricing was reasonable and fair. It was the best experience we have had with a provider. We were very happy with the way the project came out.

After purchasing the a deal on Angies List for a 100 square foot paver patio, for $1,195, we decided to expand the project beyond those limits. After talking with Brandon, the owner of Great Escapes Landscaping, we went forward with a nearly 400 square foot paver patio and gorgeous fire pit. During the entire process Brandon did an amazing job of keeping us informed of where they stood with other projects, so we would be prepared when they were getting close to being able to start on ours. Thanks to their hard work (and great weather) they were able to start our project a week ahead of schedule! The work was done quickly and with an eye on detail that really shows in the final project. We have never had harder workers doing things around our house, Brandon and his team really pushed, staying into the evening, to get the project done in just a couple days so we could enjoy the new patio for the 4th of July weekend! We are so pleased with the process that we are already looking into having Great Escapes Landscaping replace some other landscaping & steps in our yard in the future!

I purchased the Big Deal in September of 2013 and he did not schedule the work until July 21, 2014. I agreed to him postponing the work recently to accommodate his schedule. The work was performed on a day when I could not be present, but I did arrive home before the work was completed. The 3 workers informed me that the planned to work 6 hours , rather 6.66 hours. After I complained to the owner, he had them stay an addition half hour, but they just stood around most of that time or waited in their truck. I really resent the adversarial stance and arrogant attitude of the owner. I strongly urge any prospective customers of this company not to count on any verbal assurances given by the owner to be honored. YOU NEED TO GET EVERYTHING DISCUSSED WITH THE OWNER EXPLICITLY STATED IN A WRITTEN CONTRACT!

The crew that Brandon sent were just some really great guys, 2 of them.Amazing difference in hiring quality that them is that when I called (3 times over 1 1/2 weeks) I never received a call back - EVER! Very disappointing when I wold think that they want repeat business.Do not get it!!
