The Electric Connection

Excellent. I got what seemed to be an "off the cuff" estimate of $50 an outlet over the phone. When the electrician arrived I explained in detail what I wanted, then he explained in detail what he would have to do to accomplish that. He explained a few aspects of the building code that I wasn't aware of, and we discussed some different options to end up at the same place, (minor stuff, but nice to know). He explained that he got paid by the hour, and that I had the option of cleaning up the area myself when he was done to save money. He called and had his boss bring out some material that he hadn't anticipated needing, rather than leave to get it himself. That saved some time. The whole job took 5 hours. He took a 1/2 hr lunch,( and picked me up a specialty box cover at Home Depot while he was out). His work looks great, real attention to detail. And after a detailed calculation of material and labor, the price came in almost exactly as estimated.

I was having a devil of a time getting a fluorescent light to work. I checked Angie's List and found the Electric Connection. They scheduled an appointment, showed up when they said, did the job quickly, and the rates were reasonable.

Randy was the technician and was very nice. He was very apologetic. He said that he was sent to Johnston even though he knew he was supposed to be here at 9am. I called the company twice, once at 9:30 and again at 10:30 and they kept making excuses which really aggravated me.

We chose this company on basis of good past experience as well as Angie's reports. Although all individuals were friendly, the company appeared disorganized. There was a lack of knowledge about codes, and I had to make three calls after work was completed to insist that a permit be pulled and an inspection done. Inspection failed, and company came out and complied. However, company failed to follow through on promise for re-inspection. After waiting for inspection for four hours, I called and found he hadn't been scheduled as promised. I finally scheduled him myself. Cigarette butts left on ground around house and sloppy clean up.

Our experience with Electric Connection was very positive. They came out to estimate the work and offered suggestions that we hadn't thought about. Their estimate came in lower (even half of some) of the other 6 companies, we got estimates from. Travis was ontime to start work and was very polite. He even volunteered to go pick up a replacement part for an item that was damaged, from the lighting company while he ran another errand. We are very happy with the quality of work and would hire them again in the future.

The electrician did the job on schedule and the final bill was less than the estimate.

Both the company and the employee sent to do the work were wonderful. I was even quoted a higher price (which was still less than everyone else) then was charged a lower price in the end. I could not ask for a better company. I will definitely utilize this company's services again!

Very positive. Comprehensive and helpful when setting the appointment. Friendly, on-time and efficient when performing work.

We called them on 12/28/05 when a circuit blew and we were unable to reset the breaker. Randy came out the same day, was on time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a outlet that needed to be re-wired. The part was $1.00, Labor $15.00 and the service call $60.00.

OVERALL I WAS SATISFIED. WAS NOT COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH POSITION OF VANITY LIGHTS, AND WAS SORRY THE INSTALLER DIDN'T ASK WHERE I WANTED THEM. OTHERS HAVE IN THE PAST, AND I JUST FORGOT TO TELL HIM. I'M SURE HE CHOSE THE BEST PLACE BASED ON HIS EXPERIENCE. BUT I WOULD USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. APPRECIATED THEIR PROMPTNESS TO RESPOND AND SCHEDULE.

I ORIGINALLY LEFT A MESSAGE. THEY CALLED BACK WITHIN THE HOUR. WITHIN 48 HOURS THEY CAME OUT AND GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE AND TWO DAYS LATER THE WORK WAS COMPLETED AT THE ESTIMATED PRICE. DAVE, THE ELECTRICIAN, WAS VERY THOROUGH AND WELL PREPARED. HE FINISHED THE PROJECT IN LESS THAN 4 HOURS. I WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO MY FRIENDS.

TROY WAS PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT, ACTUALLY A LITTLE EARLY.

TONY WAS ON TIME, VERY PROFESSIONAL. EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS GOING TO DO. VERY EFFICIENT. THE COMPANY WAS QUITE RESPONSIVE. THEY WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE SOMEONE TO COME THE SAME DAY I CALLED. I WILL DEFINITELY USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

EXCELLENT - FIRST I WAS ASTONISHED TO GET AN ELECTRICIAN ON SUCH SHORT NOTICE AND THIS GUY WAS VERY THOROUGH IN TESTING THE UNIT AND THE CONNECTION WITH THE FURNACE. HE TRIED TO HELP US THE FIRST DAY, BUT THE POWER HAD GONE OUT. HE RE-ARRANGED HIS DAY THE SECOND DAY TO COME OUT AND FINISH THE JOB.

THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GOOD TO ME AND MY SERVICE NEEDS. GREAT COMPANY. TONY WAS MY SERVICEMAN WHO ASSISTED ME. GOT THE JOB DONE IN A HOUR.

VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE. WORKERS SHOWED UP ON TIME, WERE VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. COMPETITIVE PRICING. THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE TWO DEDICATED CIRCUITS INSTALLED FOLLOWING THE PLUMBING, AND THROUGH THE ATTIC (SEVERAL OTHER COMPANIES DID NOT WANT TO DO THIS AND SAID THAT THEY HAD TO GO OUTSIDE OF THE HOUSE AND DRILL THROUGH THE WALLS).

ON TIME, COURTEOUS, SUGGESTED SEVERAL OPTIONS.

TWO GENTLEMEN SHOWED UP TO DO THE WORK. I ASKED IF I WOULD BE CHARGED DOUBLE, AND WAS TOLD YES, SO I WASN'T VERY HAPPY. HOWEVER, I WAS QUITE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK AND THE FINAL COST WAS MORE THAN REASONABLE. I WOULD HAVE PAID THE SAME, IF NOT MORE, HAD ONE WORKER BEEN DOING THE WORK BECAUSE IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN HIM TWICE AS LONG! I WILL BE HIRING THE COMPANY AGAIN TO DO ADDITIONAL ELECTRIC WORK IN MY BASEMENT.

THE INSTALLERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS IN EXPLAINING SOME ISSUES WITH THE CEILING FANS. THEY WERE PATIENT WHILE I MADE SOME DECISIONS.

THE REPAIRMAN WAS POLITE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. WHEN HE FOUND PROBLEMS WHILE REPLACING THE OUTDOOR LIGHTS HE GAVE ME SEVERAL OPTIONS ON HOW TO FIX THEM. HE TO THE TIME TO EXPLAIN HOW MUCH EACH PROJECT WOULD TAKE AND HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST.

THE ELECTRICIAN WAS VERY HELPFUL, DID A THOROUGH JOB OF CHECKING THE CIRCUIT AND PROBABLY SAVED ME A $100 OR MORE BY SUGGESTING USING AN UNUSED BREAKER IN THE BOX RATHER THAN REPLACING THE ONE THAT APPEARED TO BE BAD.

HAD TO CALL THEM OUT AFTERWARDS - ONCE TO FINISH THE JOB, AND THE OTHER TO REPAIR SOMETHING WE DETERMINED ANOTHER CONTRACTOR SCREWED UP. COMPANY DID NOT PULL PERMITS AS PROMISED DUE TO THEIR ERROR SO WE ARE STILL WAITING ON EXTERIOR INSPECTION. A BIT OF LEG WORK ON MY PART FROM A CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSPECTIVE, BUT ALL IN ALL A DECENT COMPANY.

THEY SCHEDULED ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO COME BACK AND COMPLETE THE WIRING. I WAS CERTAINLY VERY PLEASED THAT THEY WOULD BE SO ACCOMMODATING ON SUCH SHORT NOTICE!! I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST 15 YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASED, BUT THIS ONE HAS TO BE GRADED SUPER!! THEY ARE A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH.

THEY DID A GOOD JOB, EXCELLENT CLEAN UP.

THEY DO PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING OTHER ELECTRICIANS WILL DO BUT FOR LESS. IN OTHER WORDS COMPARED TO OTHER BIDS THEY WERE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE.
